Usually he did not find leisure activities such as walks or marches along the edge of the pride lands enjoyable, he preferred sleeping as a leisure activity over exercise.

Yet today, for some off beat reason he felt compelled to go on his march. Maybe it was because he had nothing to do, perhaps it was because he felt the pride life was simply too simple and non-exciting as it could be. Or maybe he wanted fresh air.

Regardless of the reason he walked on, his bright purple mane giving him away against the scenery of tall, green grass.

Maybe he would go hunting, or then again, maybe he would not.

Adri was out on the pride's borders. The lioness with the blue mountain foot was till getting use to living in this new pride. It was just as bustling as her old home but in different way. She was happy that she had found Waridi so quickly though, if it weren't for him the tan lioness would be incredibly out of sorts.

Now they had moved into their new den, and talk of cubs had started to come up. Ardri wasn't sure she was ready to be a mom but at the same time she knew Waridi would be an amazing dad.

It was with these thoughts dancing around in her head that she had headed out to the edges of the pride to look for flowers for her den. She liked to make things look pretty and the smell of flowers always made her happy.

Kim had not expected to find someone this far out on his morning walk.

He had stopped and paused to think, as if he was questioning whether this lioness was a figment his mind had created or if she really was a person this away from the core.

Regardless he decided to talk to her, as it was indeed in Kim's agenda to make new friends. "Hello." He called to her with a slight upbeat hum in his tone. "What brings you here?" He asked before sighing as he recalled he had forgotten to introduce himself, a bad habit, if Kim was to think of it as a habit he had regularly.

"Ah... My name is Kimondo." He added. "Or just Kim."

Adri paused when she heard the voice of another and turned with flowers still in her mouth. Seeing the male she smiled and laid the flowers down at her own feet, being very gentle so that she could pick them back up to take them home later.

"Hello Kim." she greeted the male, he voice was small and feminine. She had been taught to be soft spoken in her old pride, women were lesser there. Her father had of course been very good to her, but he taught her well he never wanted her to get into trouble.

"My name is Adri." she told the male. "I was out here picking flowers" she told him with a little bit of a giggle, it seemed so silly but Adri liked having pretty things around.

"What brings you out here?" she asked him, figuring it only polite to ask him in return.

Kim was a little amused when the female had turned to him carrying flowers in her maw. Ah, so that was why she was out here. Not many came so far away, but he supposed if he did bother to look that the flowers here at the borders had a certain charm to them.

"Pleased to meet you Adri." He gave a light bow of his head. It was something he had watched his mother and father do when they greeted others, and the idea of bowing as a greeting was passed onto Kim respectively.

"Oh, nothing much." He admitted when she asked his reason for being here. He gave a light chuckle at the thought of him doing nothing all day. "Just out on a walk, I've never wandered this far to the borders since I came here." He added, which was a fact, he had not seen or felt the need to wander so near the roguelands before now. " 'suppose I'm just checking up on it then."

"You weren't born here either?" Adri asked the male. In the short time that she had been in the pride she had only met lions who had been born and raised in the pride. Not that she had met all that many lions. It was nice to meet someone who could understand a little more what her life may have been like, having been outside.

"I came from the rogue lands and before that another pride. I haven't met anyone else from the outside since being here." she was smiling ear to ear now very interested in the males story. She hoped that he would share it with her.

"No ma'am, I came from a desert like place." He told her, after of course, she had told him of where her whereabouts used to be. It was quite curious, he hadn't expected to run into a fellow previous rogue-born here in his new home and the conversation was somehow more pleasant because of that.

Then again, he supposed this was a rather large pride. Once could easily get lost among the lions and leopards and other creatures who wandered her by accident or on purpose.

"Have you not been here very long then?" He asked her causally. "I haven't been here for very long myself, so I'm not certain how often outsiders come to visit." He told her.

"No I haven't been here long at all just over a month." She wasn't really sure if her time telling was accurate it had all be such a blur since she had come. Things had moved fast for her when she joined the pride she had only been here a week before she met Waridi and now they were together in their own den.

"You were out in the desert, at least this is similar climate and land, this place is so strange from me I came from a forest." she said with a smile. She had gotten se to the new terrain her paws were certainly not use to walking on such hard land.

"Were you in a pride before here?" she asked. The petite lioness had lived in the rogue lands between her old home and this one and had hated every moment of it she couldn't imagine living like that for a whole life time.

"I suppose then neither of us know how often outsiders visit then!" He gave her a calm smile.

"Yes, the desert is similar to here in a way." He told her in response to voicing her opinion on the matter. "Though there are far more trees and grass than where my old home was." It was true, the ground here was tough. Though depending on where ones paws brought you in the barren wasteland of the desert the ground was smooth and silky, cursed only with the heat of the sun under paw. Here, the ground had a layer of soft grass upon it, and his paws did not feel burnt or as if they were on fire. For that, Kim was thankful.

"There was no pride, but I had my family." He told her. "With so many of us it was impossible to feel lonely at all!" He laughed, and felt a ping of fleeing homesickness. He both loved and missed his family, but was confident he could make it on his own.

Adri smiled, "Yes I came from a large family too. It is hard here without them but I am starting to build my very own family here," Of course right now it was just her and Waridi but Adri hoped that soon enough they would have a litter of cubs of their very own.

"Speaking of my family I should be heading back. My mate will be looking for me if I am not around." she said smiling. She bent to lift up her flowers again. "It has been a pleasure to meet you, I hope our paths cross again soon." she told him a smile on her face. She turned to trot away thankful that she had come out to the edge of the pride and that she had gotten to make yet another new friend.

As Kimondo watched the lioness leave he felt slightly gleeful that they had met. He after all had been searching for a reason to stay in the pride for a while now, and friends were a good enough reason weren't they?

A gurgle of his stomach told the brightly maned lion that it was time to fulfill his never ending desire to eat.

He moved away from the borders, the edge of the pride and headed out into the rogue lands were he could catch some prey and drag it back into their lands.

Not once, he thought, since he had arrived here had he felt truly lonely. And his encounter with Adri only strengthened that feeling. He was wanted here, and here he would stay. After all... Now he was a pridelander!
