Ghost Hunting [CYOA]
Welcome to the CYOA event! That means, create your own adventure! Where your Villagers will be taken on a spooky, yet weird, little adventure- and you get to choose how they react thanks to prompts!
I will be posting a scene and 3-4 choices for your character to use as an RP prompt. You will have ten min after my prompt in order to make your choice and write up your response. If you miss a prompt, ignore it and move on to the one we're on at that point. No points will be given to you for the missing prompts. You will also be doing this as a group so feel free to respond to other's actions!
Your choices matter in CYOA! And in this one they wont only carve your adventure out for you, but may end up giving you some awesome prizes!
PLEASE: When I post a prompt please let me know what choice you're going with by posting it before your RP response like so:Quote: A ghostly figure hands you an envelope. When you look down at it you're overcome with chills that rock your body. Should you open it? He looks like he wants you to, but are you to trust a ghost? 1. Open the envelope! What could happen? 2. Throw the envelope back in his face and walk away! 3. Start crying for your mommy. 3. Start crying for your mommy
Starla looks down at the envelope before back at the ghostly figure. She doesn't like the feels that have overcome her from taking the envelope from him. Why had she even come on this adventure? Why hadn't she stayed home in her warm bed? Why hadn't she just said NO to adventures!? Where was her mommy when she needed her!? Waaaah!Yeah kinda like that! If you have any questions feel free to PM me or post in the main thread. I will do my best to be watching both! I want you all to have a fun and stress free game! smile

Rules~
1. BE NICE! It's understandable if a character doesn't like another, but be careful that that doesn't come out as attacking the person behind the character! 2. You will have ten min and TEN MIN only to get your post in. You're welcome to edit your post between the ten min if you suddenly feel you didn't make the right choice, but be careful! If the ten min is up before you're done it wont count! I will be counting points as we go and what you have posted once I post is what I will be counting. 3. Be aware that rules and explanations may change if something is confusing or isn't working for the game. It wont be in a way to give any one person a chance at winning, but to be sure that everyone has the same chance!
In your first post please let me know that you have read and understand these! If not I will be calling you out wink

Round 1
It may be your favorite night of all time or it might be the one night you dread every year. Either way, Halloween has come upon you and you can tell that this year will be different. Wether you're late getting ready to go Trick or Treating, you've already made your rounds, or you're hiding away in your home- a notice makes it to you. It's a sheet of old, weathered parchment paper that reads:
We have heard about your great deeds and request your survice now. There is a ghost we need taken care of and ask that you meet us immediately at the Town Square's Fountain.
Do you:
1. Head there immediately! I mean, that's what they asked you to do after all. 2. Finish up your trick or treat rounds before heading to the fountain. How dare they attempt to interrupt such a holiday! 3. Worry yourself sick before deciding you have no choice but to help- and head to the fountain. 4. Take your time packing up some supplies before heading out.

Halloween was just another night to him, though others liked to comment on his...costume? He always wondered what they meant because this was always how he looked. Whatever. He read the notice that had been slipped under his door and decided to pack a bag before heading to the town square.

Take your time packing up some supplies before heading out. Violetta had just gotten home from a fantastic party and a bit of trick or treating when she noticed the strange paper. "Psh, Ghost. This better be more than some Villager running around in a bed sheet again. At least put on a spooky mask or something!" No Fashionista went outside without packing a few handy things in their ultra stylish backpack! Adventurers take note, just because they were going outdoors didn't mean she was going to be bumbling around in the dark like a fool! "Flashlight, water bottle, first aid kit, snacks.. Uhh, salt? Or was that for other big spooks? Oh, I don't know anything about this occult stuff!" With a huff she closed her bag and put it on.
As she reached the fountain she looked around, normally she'd prefer to be fashionably late but this time she wanted to get a jump on the competition meet her companions. Hopefully one of them knew more about ghosty things than her.

Nothing so far, she thought to herself as she sorted the good loot she had received. It looks like her costume had won people over but she was so awesome that she had dressed as campfire fork with a couple of marshmallows, fake fuzz surrounded her arms and her body was a shiny metallic dress. GOLDEN BROWN!
1. Head there immediately! I mean, that's what they asked you to do after all.
Mallo heard a knock on her door and jumped to her feet then dashed for the door but when she opened it, no one was there! Weird until her eyes caught a piece of paper. She scanned it before dashing out! ❞

Very nice! I will just go ahead and start this~
Round 2
You've made it to the fountain where others are showing up. Some come with backpacks of supplies, some with buckets of candy from their trick or treating rounds, and others look like they have been waiting ages for others to show up. It doesn't take you long to realize none of these other folks wrote the notice, but you all received it just the same. Some others start to notice that the Square's streets are cleared and no lights are on. Where is everyone?
You all sit there for quite awhile waiting on these mysterious people who summoned you here. You're starting to get anxious, tired, or bored and wonder if this was worth your time.
Do you:
1. You're tired, better pop a squat down on the fountain and rest a bit. 2. You throw a small tantrum. This is ridiculous! Your were expecting adventure! 3. Start trembling. Why are you all the only ones out? 4. Start eating some of your candy. (only if you used #2 in the 1st round)

Maybe she had dashed away a little to quickly. She was one of the first to arrive and it seemed that no one knew what was going on! Now she was a little tired for all her running, best to take a bit of rest because if what the note said was true then she would have to conserve energy and she had forgotten her sugar boosts. ❞

He wondered if they had all gotten notices as well. He'd probably find out sooner or later. Stretching his arms a bit, he sat on the edge of the fountain.

Carefully scooting into a street lamp's light to feel a bit safer, Violetta takes a seat on the edge of the fountain and looks over her two companions on this 'adventure'. One of them looked like they might be on a candy high and the other.. She pointed her gaze at Vlad and cocked her head to the side. "What's your costume supposed to be, exactly? It's not bad. Very well tailored."

Round 3
As someone sits down on the Fountain, a huge click goes off as if someone hit a button. The water trickles to a stop as the pipes whine in protest. When the whining stops it looks as though the tiles are tumbling down off of it, falling into its base. What is really happening are the tiles are forming a stair case- underground!?
Do you:
1. You barge down those stairs! Alright, adventure time! 2. You cautiously check the stairs and your surroundings before heading in. 3. Oh heck no you ain't going down there- oh wait you're getting left behind! Run to catch up! 4. You shrug and follow them in. Why not.

As the dust settles and her mind snaps back to reality she scrambles to get her flashlight out of her back and clicks it on, pointing the beam down the staircase. "W-well... Sh-shall we go then?" She looks at the other two as if expecting one of them to take the lead. She had to man the flashlight, after all! Ohhh, this wasn't going to end well. She should have worn something less expensive.

The moment she heard the slight click and the water stops pouring out she jumped to her feet and backed away quickly. Mallo rushed ahead of the pack and charged down those stairs without another thought. ❞

One seemed hyper...that could be annoying. The other was alright he supposed. And she was asking him something. He grimaced. Every single year... "Not a costume," he grumbled. Just then the fountain rumbled and gave way to a staircase. He arched an eyebrow at it. At least until the hyper one barged down the stair. Oh yes. This was going to be so much fun, he thought to himself as he followed her down.
