It had taken him longer than expected to get their trip together - something he felt rather bad about since he had promised to take her out - but Milo honestly did want to make sure that it would be, well, perfect. Or at least close to it. It was still his way of making it up to her for that mission, even if the guilt had finally faded away thanks to the flow of time but still.
It also didn't help that his usual stomping grounds were kind of off limits, so he had taken a day of leave the month before to research the best places to take a beginning surfer (while, of course, catching up on toku). Thanks to google, and most notably Trip Advisor, arrangements were made and set and finally detailed to the small Mist.
The pair would find themselves in Nosara, Costa Rica after a short portal trip, their hotel overlooking a long stretch of beaches while the tide rolled in and the sun peeking through the drizzle of rain that fell.nyxtsuki moon FINALLY! Omg, I am so bad at starts, sorry

Noemi hadn't even thought about how long it took, but more of just how excited and nervous she was. Milo had asked her to go with him to surf. Ride the water, what did he say? Shoot the curl, skate the waves...Something like that? She was immensely terrified of doing anything of the sort, but she was sure with the sun hunter there, she'd be all right.
Her bag had dropped, and she rested her hands on the edge of the hotel room patio. Ocean. Water, beach. She had never seen so much ocean in her life, so much water. She had never seen so much of it.
Her mouth was slightly open with wonder, her eyes wide. Even with the rain, it felt warm, nice and amazing.
"That is ocean, si?" She pointed her finger out, her other hand coming to grip Milo's arm. "This is like home for you si? this is what you saw a lot?" She felt a wave of secret envy. It was like paradise here.
