Euphrosyne never missed a celebration like this! She knew it wasn't necessarily her place to join mortal festivities like this, but ever since Venus' temple had been taken over by those horrible snake-pae, it had been so dreadfully boring! Besides, how could she not bless this event with her joyful presence? She contemplated disguising herself as some other mortal, but that would be awfully awkward if that same mortal should attend. So she went as herself, in costume of course, but made no announcement of her arrival. She merely showed up on the beach and set up a booth for the wee ones to come trick-or-treating at. Euphrosyne was dressed as a witch, with a tall black hat and ominous black robes, but her skin sparkled beneath them so it was hard to find her at all frightening.
She'd also brought sweets from Dolandor--liquid nectar wrapped in wax. She giggled as she thought of all these sticky children happily ruining their suppers.
((Euphrosyne has lots of candy to share! Each child may roll three 6-sided dice when visiting her!))
Corazon approached first, dressed as a happy cupcake with a bag eager for more candies. The witch outfit caused her to hesitate but she liked the sparkle of the gold, "Pretty!" She called out pointing to Euphrosyne. Then she walked up and called out, "Trick or treat." Finally her mother and cousin had talked her into actually saying the whole thing. Why was beyond her, who wanted tricks when they could have treats?
It wasn't until Corazon had started to speak that the Alpaca child looked from where he hid. Bold as he pleased, the outfit still scared even him. Though he'd NEVER admit it to anyone. To cover he called out, "T-trick or treat!" And held out his own bag for treats. A pat on the back from Zofie who had regained hearing from the previous booth helped bolster the child.
Soliel walked down the beach with her sack, a hand reaching up to fix her green tulip stems on top of her head. The little demonic was smeared with green from head to toe, and her golden strands covered with red. Her costume was a homage to the scariest pae she knew on the whole island.
Her sister Cressida.
She happily stepped up to the booth. "Trick o Treat!"
Coal smudged around her eyes, Astridr squealed as she was carried to the next place. She was having a lot of fun, even with that one super scary lady from earlier. But that was all forgotten in the face of fun and yummy things. Her daddy had even managed to get her lots of it too! She was so excited!
"Fweeee!" She giggled, clapping. She wanted more nummy things.
(My mistake. I didn't realize it was only one section o.o; She's sticking to the city, not the beaches >.< I'm sorry!)
Back again, this time Corazon wasn't at all hesitant. The shiny lady gave her lots of treats! Hold up her bag she called out, "Tricks or treats!" Whoever came up with this holiday was the best pae ever!
Aloiki was likewise bolstered by their success so far and enjoyed the game. There didn't seem to be any reason why Corazon had more than he did. Aunty Z said that they could keep going around for a while so the problem would fix itself. Lighthearted, the alpaca sprite called out, "Trick or treats!" as he held out his bag for more wondrous treats.
Oh! More cool wings! And oh she was so pretty! Ilazia hoped she was that pretty when she got bigger. She stared in open-mouthed wonder for a moment before remembering her true mission. Candy! Candy forever maybe if she got enough of it? Would her parents let her eat candy forever? Maybe if she said please? "Trick or treat!" ... "Please!"
