Nothing, zip, zero. Not a sight to see other than spiders and more spiders and the occasional other bit of nightlife. Sighing Elleth rubbed her forearm across her eyes and gently massaged her temple. At this point in time she was so covered in spider gore that a little more on her face was nothing. It wasn't as if the substance was poisonous. At least, she hoped it wasn't. But such thoughts were distracting to her real problem. There was no way around it, she just wasn't going to find anything, any tiny scrap of evidence that the creature she'd come out here for was, in fact, there at all. She bit back the disappointment that threatened to well up, citing that it had taken her longer on some days to find dragons, in areas that were supposedly infested with them.
It wasn't expected that each and every time she went out she would find whatever it was that she was looking for. She squashed the tiny part of her that did say that it should happen, it just wasn't feasible. She wasn't pouting, really.
She hefted her blade and headed over to the least disgusting pool of water she could find, and slowly started to scrub the encrusted spider gore off of the metals surface. She would give it a proper cleaning when she got home, but for now a quick scrub down was for the rest, least it start to rust on her. The blades condition reflected her own health, or so she liked to believe. Currently Elleth wasn't feeling her best, but that was blamed entirely on the leeches that had attached to her legs when she wasn't paying attention. Grumbling Elleth scrubbed harder at a particularly congealed mass and decided that she was going to abandon the hunt all together.
She could always come back the next night, but for now? She was done with this swamp and it's spiders and slime filled pools. And especially the leeches.
