Zinerva had been hard at work more of the morning getting her area set up in the palace. Drift wood held together with kelp and decorated with all sorts of shells and bones she could find in the shape of different animals like sharks and squid. She hummed and hawed at her work before settling behind a counter of sorts, placing a large shell of sweets wrapped in seaweed. She had asked her two sons for help with this, they were both just so good with honey after all. It would be a nice surprise for the kids after all.
She was ready. All she needed to do was to wait for some children to come by.

Day 4 Finn-4 Pax-3 Pippin-3 Zaba-3 Xoana-3 Mentha Criollo-1
Xoana, dressed as a pumpkin with orange fabric loosely draped over her body and a green stem-hat on her head, swam up to the blue-and-white grown-up. Papa said that some grown-ups would give them candy tonight if they asked nicely and said the magic words. "Trick or treat please!" she exclaimed, holding her bag made of netting out.
Pippin smiled excitedly as she moved up to the next one. She loved swimming around in the palace, and it was even more fitting now that she was in her princess outfit. "Trick or treat." She asked of the blue naiad.

Žába swam up to the next booth, his fourth stop on the rounds for goodies, he was disappointed over the trick from his last stop. "Tricks or Treats" he held up his bag. The lil sprite was dressed up as a ghost.
That last maze house had been hard! But this one seemed much like the first booth, a simple come up and go. She shyly smiled to the pretty blue naiad. "Trick...or...treat..." Aysel squeaked out again.

Mentha was a little sad that the last place left him empty handed, but the other kids didn't seem too bothered when they didn't get any... So he shrugged it off and followed them to the next place.
He held up his bowl, both him and his pet fish Ananas bubbled hopefully up at Zinerva.
Zinerva smiled brightly as some adorable tots paid her a visit, all of them wanting candy. "Ah yes! There is candy for all." She smiled as she reached into the shell, pulling out a handful of candy. "Now let's see...For the little pumpkin here's a could of treats." The naiad dropped three sweeties into her bag. "For the next little princess, a piece of candy." Zinerva dropped one piece into the little one's bag. She looked to the last voice, a green naiad. No. He was different. He remind her of her sons, but he was different. She shouldn't look into it too hard. Poor thing seemed a little distraught. "Tough night little one? Have some candies." She placed five candies into his bag.
A second wing child approached her. "You are getting a trick my dear." She gently tapped the child on the nose with her finger. This was so much fun. What to do...
A green and brown little one was the last to approch her. She smiled to him before letting out a light laugh. "You need to say trick or treat my dear." She handed him a single piece of candy. "You also need a costume little one. Did your parents not make you one?" Was she prying too much?

Mentha tilted his head as the adult questioned him. The poor little tot was - to put it simply - an orphan. And to top it off, he didn't know how to speak words... he just bubbled... Because everything else around him had always ever bubbled...
Perhaps that was why Ananas always seemed to understand and trust him?
Seeming to not quite understanding anything the adult was saying, he pushed his bowl further forward in Zinerva's view once again. If anything, he'd hoped to at least get a few more treats before he had to chase off after the other kids.
He bubbled again then added a wide and hopeful smile? That had to help his chances, right?
"Thank you for the candy," said Xoana upon returning for another round. "Trick or treat please?" She held out her net bag expectantly. Best holiday ever.
Pippin gave a suspicious glance at her piece of candy as she turned away from the lady. Oh yes, she had certainly noticed that she had gotten one piece of candy, while the other children had gotten more. Despite this, she returned for a second round anyways. One measly piece of candy was better than skipping the booth and getting none.
That last one was disappointing too. No one was willing to hand over their buckets of candy. But this lady had fancy candies. Maybe he should grab some and swim. Hmm
Only the third person to stop at and Pax was already out of her costume. She dragged the round pumpkin with her to stop at the nice blue lady's candy. "Trickertreat!"
Pippin was full of hope once again as she approached the next lady again. Here she had been so happy with her luck so far, but now she was starting to feel a little bit greedy about the candy, especially after that boy had tried to get all the candy from alllll the other booths.
