 Sitting by the minimally-decorated entrance of her alcove, little ones in her lap, the former princess held a basket of mini-treats that she had made herself. This was a time for festivities, and while there would certainly be no true healing of the pain caused by the blow to their home in the near future (the residual aching in her chest ensured that), that was something that the children of Laisidhiel needn't worry themselves with. No, better to distract the younger ones with laughter and fun than allowing them to face the worries of adulthood so soon.
Their time would come, perhaps soon indeed. For now, though, the only time coming for them was all Hallow's Eve.Updated 28.10 at 09:13 UTC

Fea Line Lullaby try 2: -edit later-  Lullaby, donned in a furry white full body wolf pup costume, came next to another little room, looking around inside, sucking at her binki rapidly, wide gold eyes taking everything in. When she finally noticed Celestia, she made a gasping noise and ran over, holding up her little bucket with her little furry hands and bouncing awkwardly on her tip toes, nearly falling on her rump in the process. Her eyes were fixed intently on her wiggly hair that reminded her of daddies! Lullaby try 2:

 Savi continued to follow his sister, trailed of course by their parents. Looking out for her as they slowly made their way around the booths, he almost missed her running up to a white fauny. He made an odd noise, one that could have meant 'wait' or 'stop' but Lulu didn't hear him, or wasn't paying attention. He chased her up to the fauny and nearly ran into her when she stopped suddenly. Once he got a good look at the white female, he saw her hair and his green eyes widened. It looked like daddy's!! Tentatively, he held his bucket out with Lullaby's.

 This was great! Stomp around acting scary and you got stuff! Why had she never heard of this before?
This was amazing!
Spying the bright-white princess sitting by her door, Serena targeted her next 'victim'. She strutted her little fuzzy 'yeti' self over to the princess and waved her arms threateningly in the air...or as much as she could while still clinging to a bag of treats.
"Raaaaawr!"

Lullaby had been excited to see her wigglied hair grandaunti Celestia and ran forward, thrusting her bucket up, having gotten the hang of this trick or treating thing. However, when the wiggly hair tricked her, she paused, eyes going wide and round and sniffled a bit behind her binki. Lullaby try 2 for 10/23:
