1st. Achievements, as of lately there only seems to be achievements for kickstarters. I wanted to know if there are goin' to be other achievements, or is it just goin' to be given up on. I know that there are some achievement hunters that have some really good ideas for new achievements. I really hope that Gaia does continue with achievements, and please ones where we don't have to spend real life money to get.

Since it looks like we are goin' to get a lot of achievements from the kickstarter. Is there any plans in the future to use the achievement points for somethin'? I know we have titles an all, but I wish there was sometin' we could use the points for.

Can you create new achievements for us?
Ideas for new achievements... Like maybe one for buying a lot of stuff from the gold shops. Having 50k or 100k forum posts. Having X amount of comments from other people on your profile. commenting X amount of times on other people profiles. Buying a guild. Having x amount of posts in a guild. Winning a Gaia Arena.
For the Halloween event there were suppose to be 12 achievements, but there were only 10. What happened to the last 2?
We'll have them out for the users as they did hit the tier and we promised them, sorry for the delay on them!

This question deals with achievements and loyalty programs.
Getting into Club Verge and Loyal's Bazaar is a pretty big deal. But for some reason we don't get achievements for getting into either loyalty program.
And that is pretty silly.
After all spending 100$ a year to be in Verge and logging in almost every single day to get into the Bazaar, we deserve some kind of achievement to put in out collection for that... My Question is...
Would you please give us an achievement for getting into either loyalty program and an achievement for getting into both programs at the same time?

Could it be possible to get achievement titles for leveling up in alchemy? Like at least get the title "Alchemist" from achieving level 10 or something? Or maybe add a new alchemy achievement that would grant this title?

This question deals with alchemy and achievements.
The wing mastery achievement is one of the hardest achievements on Gaia to get. The few people that have earned this achievement have spent loads of cash, gold, and countless hours trying to save up for the formulas and quest for each component needed for each back wing formula. But they only get 100 points for it.
Gaia, during the last Halloween event I got a couple of achievements that were 150 points each and one that was 250 points and it only took me a few hours if that to earn them.
This is not fair to the people that have spent countless hours to earn this achievement. If anything it's more like a slap in the face really...
My question to you is...
Can you up the points on this achievement and add more titles to give these people the respect that they so desperately deserve?
We can definitely update the amount of points awarded to specific achievements and add some new titles as well. If you have anything beyond the Backwings achievement to recommend I'm all ears.
3 Weeks ago I asked about the 2 missin' achievements for the Halloween event. You guys said that they would be granted to the people that earned them. I have yet to see them. Again I asked last week, and never did get a reply. Can you please shed some light on what the achievements are. I would really like to know if I would be gettin' them or not. Thanks!

Could we please see the removal of the limitations of achievement titles? That is, achievement titles are currently locked to either the first or second menu, adjectival and nominal respectively.
This wasn't a huge issue to me until the kickstarter achievement with the princess title came out. I spent the gold to get the title, and I was terribly, terribly disappointed to see that princess was in the adjectival section. I want to be a timid princess. I wasted hundreds of billions of gold on it because I assumed that princess would act as a nominal.
I'm sorry that the achievement did not have the titles as you were expecting. You are correct that Princess as a prefix it's a little out of place. Sadly, as this achievement has already been given out and is in use, changes to it will not be made, nor will the achievement restrictions be lifted. What we can do though is add that title as a suffix in a future achievement.

Would it be possible to add more general achievements like for forums, or equipping items? Maybe an achievement for collecting paper/bugs, trading in trash or fish, buying tattoos, etc. There's so much to do around the site, adding fun little easter eggs in the form of achievements would give old and new users alike more reasons to explore every site feature.

Fanboy/Fangirl, Prommie, and the Really, Gaia? Really? achievements were removed because people couldn't follow the forum rules. I understand that they were taken away because people were being obnoxious by not following the rules and guidelines of the selected forums. Is there any way that these achievements could be modified and be brought back? I get that spam is an issue, but that is why we have moderators and banhammers for repeat offenders...

Even though we have moderators the spam just became too much to deal with and we decided to axe them. It's possible we may return these achievements in the future with different qualifications though.

First thanks for givin' out the last 2 Halloween event achievements.
I have a question about it though. Why did you decided to give the winnin' side 500 points compared to the losin' side only 50 points? I really hate the fact that this was done. With all the problems with the event, it gave the demon side an unfair advantage. I really wish that each side got the same amount of points. This is not fair to the achievement hunters that are collectin' all of the achievements.
Second. Again as an achievement hunter I'm workin' hard to get all the achievements. For the kickstart before the Halloween event, we were suppose to get 12 achievements, but the most any person could get is 10. This seems to be a little unfair, because now there is no way anyone can get all of them. I ask that if there are more achievements for future events, please don't have ones that you can only get for chosin' a certain side. Maybe have one achievement when you pick a side, and have all the titles in one achievement. It would make it fair, and be a better option.
Before I forget. I have started a petition thread in hopes to have more achievements. I even have a few ideas on some new achievements as well. More Achievements biggrin
Hi Darc, we understand that it can be frustrating to not be able to collect all achievements. sad The intent with achievements was to allow people to be able to collect them based on their various site accomplishments and choices. From the design phase it was not something that was intended for people to collect all of them and that will not likely change in the near future.

I saw the Staff Notice about everyone supposedly getting the last two Halloween Achievements that were promised. Which is nice and all: Can we get the NAME of the Achievements we are supposed to be getting, so we know if we got them or not??!! Because after you guys took the Achievement Counter out of the Header, I have been having problems having the Achievements I earned register at all and have to usually file a ticket, thus I need to know if I have to do that this time, so the Achievement Names and for which Team they are would be nice....Thanks!!

Would it be possible to add achievements to Dumpster Dive? Motivating users to donate items thoughtfully and rewarding them would be beneficial for everybody! Also, it would discourage Philosopher's Caches being overloaded in DD if they didn't count towards achievements, as well as a ton of other game items.

Recently the two final achievements for the Halloween event were released. One for the winning team and one for the losing team. Can the point differences please be changed? It's absolutely ridiculous that there the Angels only get 50 points and the Demons get 500. Not only did the Angels have an extremely unfair disadvantage during the event, but this is also extremely unfair to achievement hunters. At the beginning of the event, I pretty much had knew the demons were most likely going to win, but I chose angels because I personally agreed with their side. I feel like I'm being punished by the point difference in these achievements for choosing a side I actually cared about versus a side I knew was going to win. So once again, can we please have the points changed for the two achievements? Either have them equal in points or at least make the differences between them smaller? (For example, Angels 50 points and Demons 100 points )
Sorry for any inconvenience caused by this, the reason why the Angels got a 50 point achievement and the Demons got a 500 point achievement is because the Demons won. Unfortunately as the achievements were already released we cannot change the value on them. However, we can consider the achievements being closer in value for future events though.

I don't really get why this achievement was removed, it certainly wasn't hurting things.
Is there any way to bring it back or at least give us a reason why it was removed?

We actually don't remember why we removed this achievement but it did go away with a lot of the achievements that encouraged spam. We could consider it bringing it back with some tweaks though.

In a previous Ask the Staff, you mentioned that a better system was being worked on for the login issues preventing access to Loyal's. Will the fixes for this help the same error the login issue causes for the attendance achievements, or is there any advice to be given if not? I have been trying to obtain the Perfect Attendance achievement for just short of a year straight now, and despite logging in every day, the counter is similarly picky and resets like the Loyal's counter.

Unfortunately not as they are two separate systems, however, if you feel that you should have been granted any of the attendance achievements and have not been, feel free to file a ticket at our Help Center and we'll be happy to look into it and credit you the achievement if we see you were supposed to get it.

When you look at you available achievements list you don't have any of the GoFusion or Alchemy achievements listed. Since they are not listed it's hard to keep up with how many items I've fused together since there isn't a counter available for us to view like there are with other listed achievements (like the posting achievements) . Also I'm doing alchemy, it would be nice to have them all listed so I know what I need to do and exactly how many achievements I have left. I know there are guides for this, but I shouldn't have to look at guides to make sure I'm not skipping achievements that are not tied into any holiday events.
It only makes sense that achievements that are permanently available are listed in the available achievement space.
Can you guys list them, and if you are unable can you give us a reason as of why?

Possibly, this wouldn't be a super simple change as it will probably require changes to the pages so it probably wouldn't happen soon, but we can certainly take a look at it.

I have yet to get my achievement from the Halloween event. I've tried logging in and out obviously. Clearing my cache and history. And I sent a message to a staff member but no one ever read it. I was on the Angelic team, so I need the looser achievement. I got other achievements for healing/attacking people those were granted without any problem. But I never got the last one... Fix it?
Also there are a lot of people having this same issue, lots of threads have been made about it over in Site Questions and Assistance, I think you might want to look into the issue to see why it is still not being granted.

Unfortunately there was a technical glitch when granting the achievement that makes it difficult for us go back and regrant it to those who did not receive it. However, we have been doing mass grants for users who have been filing tickets so if you haven't received it yet, go ahead and file a ticket and we'll make sure that you get it.

The "Noob Wrangler" achievement has a counter to/out of 10, but instead of just saying 1/10, 5/10, etc.. it shows the User ID numbers of the newbies quoted. This causes a lot of confusion for a lot of users. If you can't change how it displays, could you possibly add a little note in the description box explaining such?

Misc: Better Achievements information Hi, when you release new achievements, me and many others often wonder on how and where to get these achievements. For example lately, many have asked if there are achievements for collecting Snowflake Charms during the Winter 2014 event. And how many Snowflake Charms you need to get the achievements etc. So my question is, can you please be more clear on how and where to get new achievements in the future? And how many you need of each item, or any other requirements for an achievement? Maybe you can make a "Newest achievements" for each event?

So, to follow up: how do things stand on this?
We still have not received the achievement and without knowing the exact requirements, this makes it difficult to submit a ticket, as we do not know if we should or should not have gotten it. And, no, it’s not fun to explore and find out the requirements after the event, as was suggested in the same ATS. Especially when no one, to our knowledge, has been granted the achievement and so we have no way of comparing snowflake totals in relation to that achievement. Ergo, we can’t figure things out on our own… because it hasn’t shown up yet.
Basically, we would like to know the exact number of snowflakes required and when, if ever, we can expect a fix for this missing achievement.

No updates at this time! But when we have one we'll be posting a staff notice like we have with the other achievement issues!

Has any progress been made on fixing the glitch where we can't use the new Achievement Titles "Rina's", "Moira's", "Devin's" or "Carl's" because the apostrophes screw up the code?

It was awarded for voting at this thread. Perhaps it could be reactivated? Or a new thread with a working poll that awards the achievement?
We could bring this event back, perhaps with some new contenders.
But not specifically Cats vs Dogs?
