Ivan's time-traveling storyline is an event storyline that won't be mentioned in the Manga, however it will include backstory for some of the oldest citizens.
Very likely! Chances are 50/50- We don't want to alter the plot in anyway to wrap around an event so we need the right moment in the storyline to have Gaians participate.

Hi Dragon! As a fellow fan of the comic, I'm glad to see so many requests to tie in the main storyline. Its definitely something we plan to do in the future.
We do have a number of events that don't include the main storyline or characters because:
a. We don't want to neglect all of the other characters that aren't in the main plot at the current moment.
b. We don't want to bend or manipulate the plot just to suit it to an event that ties in a holiday.

Okay... How do you guys plan on "re-prioritizing" the manga? When I asked Narumi that's what he told me.
The prioritization is based on other items that need to be made as well as image assets for features and projects. There are times when a feature or product actually requires the advance of the manga, in which case it gets very high priority.

For example we've had a couple REI's dedicated to NPCs. Those were fun! I loved learning more backstory regarding our NPCs. Could we have more of them? Or even better: A CI based on the plot or vice versa. The Nyx vs Gaia plot from the Airship Saga would be a great example of a potential future CI.

I know this depends on whether or not the artists feels like, but i'd still like to ask if we are ever going to see another NPC EI again. I really hope they can make a come back since they tell a lot about the shop NPCs and stuff about them that we don't know, especially for those who doesn't have a lot of information to start with. eg. devin, or natasha, or vanessa.
this is a personal request, but is there any hope to see an EI based on Nicolae and Cresento? I know this is something that's half loved half hated by the GCD, so.... It's just kind of a suggestion, i suppose. I'm hoping more for EIs about those who aren't very explored such as the few i listed above, since i have a feeling people would definitly prefer seeing them instead.
A Nicolae and Cresento EI isn't something we have planned currently, but we are working on more NPC related sets and REIs in the future.

Items May I make a suggestion of possibly making REI/EI based on our holiday mascots? Such as Jack, Santa, and Easter Bunny. It could help add a bit more backstory than what we know, such as how did Jack's first halloween work out, how did santa meet mrs.claus and the elves, and how did Easter bunny deal with the trauma from when it happened to where he is now.

The ylves mentioned in the L'histoire de Mephiste are distant ancestors of the current population of elves inhabiting Gaia. The legends of Mephiste are something that all elves would tell their children and their exploits are very well known.

All of our CI/RIG NPCs are technically in the Gaia-verse so they can all be shipped with Nicolae, and if you win a ticket like the Enigma Invitation/LFG Ticket technically you can make a Gaian NPC that will then exist in the Gaia world (same goes for Emerald Ticket)so you can ship yourself too!

Can we get manga notices again? I was glad when the manga started updating again, but since I wasn't getting the notices like we used to, i forgot to keep checking, and I even thought the manga wasn't updated beyond one page.
There's a bug that doesn't show manga updates in the header- but we'll try and have an announcement for manga updates- or a staff notice so that everyone can be informed in a more public way.

There is a large chunk of the timeline already blocked out- the other siblings are not going to be introduced for quite some time- there are no plans to tie in the Nyxian crystals from Zomg into its own manga- the baby gods are all watching the Event plot unfold and you will see the outcome of this!

We Plot fanatics recently unearthed some old evidence of a connection between the old zOMG! forces of Ghi and Null and the current plot with the Gods and Nyx. "Nyxian energy", to be precise.
So, hopefully this one's vague enough that you can answer it without spoiling anything big... if there's Nyxian energy, are there other energies for the other sons of Gaia? Like, for example, Meilian energy?

With the recent LQI for Nyx, the Nyx Reborn and it's recolor in the current Autumn tiers, can we hope to see something in the near future for the Goddess Gaia? She is after all the patron Goddess and namesake of our planet and it would be nice to have something for the Gaia supporters to have like the Nyx fans now do.

First off, thank you for updating the manga and having NPCs interact with us in the forums! It was great to see that the manga hasn't been forgotten, and it was a blast seeing the NPCs posting and quoting users. I hope we get to more of both in the future, as these features bring me a lot of joy.
Onto the question. Recently, Cindy Donovinh posted asking us for ideas about future community updates (which reminded me that she used to be around more often...). Would it be possible for her to occasionally conduct interviews with various NPCs? The choice for who to interview could be entirely random, or it could be voted on by users in polls, or it could feature an NPC who is currently heavily involved in something happening on the site (an event or a RIG relating to that NPC). I think this would be a great opportunity to showcase some of the NPCs we don't get to see very often any longer to find out where they are now and what they're doing. It would be interesting to do something like this for some of the zOMG! NPCs - many folks who loved the game are rather concerned about them!
I think that's a great idea and something Cindy Donovinh could even have her own Announcement for. Stay tuned!

Can the zOMG! NPCs (a.k.a. the VQS NPCs) get upgraded to regular NPCs, maybe show up in the forums, possibly get an Event or two? Keeping these guys active as Gaia NPCs would be a highly appreciated way to keep the game's spirit alive. Moreso than throwing them into Towns 2 and forgetting about them, I think...

I like bidding on Flynn's Plunder, but there are some items that just dominate her store, like game items for example. Is there anyway that other NPCs could get in on the action? Specifically Mirai and Barret with their fish and decorations, Crecento with formulas and rare components, and Bildeau with rare housing items?
My idea on this goes beyond just those three NPCs, I've got a whole NPC auction house planned out.
We usually add a large amount of a singular, or group, of items when we see requests from the users asking for them. However, we'll be moving more toward a random set of items in future Flynn's Plunder.
What's gonna happen to all the displaced and frightened snow bunnies from this Snowman-Diedrich debaucle?
Its going to get complicated- Diedrich seems to have a real problem with snowmen, but those snow bunnies look like they could be related to our green President.

The staff who worked on the D-Party Tea Party Summit did a wonderful job! May we PLEASE get more mini-events like this in the future that don't require acquiring Mint Tickets? Character NPCs appearing suddenly to discuss a new manga chapter or talk about a new feature would not only provide interactivity many users are requesting but also build a more positive relationship between users and the site. Logistics aside it seems the only cost involved would be posting time and MAYBE pixel creation if a grant item is involved (thanks for the paws Presidential Tie!).
We really enjoyed the D-Party and we hope to have non-Mint Ticket NPC events that are a bit larger in the future.

There's been a lot of very wonderful NPCs created for CIs/RIGs, is there any way we could ever find out more about them? Like through events, a page in the manga, or even a journal containing some information about them.
Sure! We have a Community Update every week where we sometimes interview NPCs (and we love suggestions) and we are happy to give our NPCs some more development in RIG sequels. We are looking into releasing some NPC based REIs which are updated on Fridays. Hopefully we can include more in our events- even small ones like Carl's Rutting Event.

Concerning the sudden appearance of the NPCs Rina and Rordon Gamsey: once I'd read a few different threads I realized these were bots, but at first I thought these were staffers replying using NPCs! Several threads in Site Feedback have discussed the bots not only being spammy, but even rude and downright offensive depending on what gets replied to. Since using NPC bots for a confusing and empty attempt at interaction advertising a LQI was questionable at best, how will Gaia make changes to this in the future to avoid misunderstandings and potentially offensive situations? I think bots should be confined to GCD, CB, and appropriate event forums, personally.
Here's an example of NPC posting being totally inappropriate - this was concerning the hostage situation in Sydney where a user was trying to help a roommate find out if a family member was involved. The NPC responded because of a trigger word (it's pretty obvious what word it was). This continued several times in the thread including replies to discussion of causalities. I understand it's virtually impossible to know how every quote-and-reply pairing will end up looking but that's exactly why botting an NPC across the entire forums is a poor idea.
Some more examples that are far less problematic but I think still worth providing under the cut:
Here's another inappropriate example. Although users in that thread didn't have an issue because the reply came off like a random misfire, several users have expressed they feel this sort of randomness doesn't belong in sensitive topics at In The News.
Here's an example of the bot coming off as snarky - I interpreted the response as a way of calling the original poster's complaint a "flame" concerning whitelisting ads (I still thought it was a person behind the NPC, not a bot). Way less important than the first example but if people think actual staffers are being cheeky it comes off unprofessional.
I know we can report NPC posts for being spam as I've successfully done so, but users should not be expected to police NPCs this way.
Thank you for letting us know about our naughty NPCs. We have been tracking them and trying to limit them to specific forums, however it doesn't keep them from occasionally posting somewhere a bit awkward. We're working on ways to keep them a bit more reigned in for future events.
Who knows? Peyo may need to go on another journey before he discovers the identity of his father.

It doesn't help the community when receiving spams that has nothing relate to the conversations.
From time to time we'll be mixing in NPC interaction between NPC quotes and live interaction. We'll also make sure we do a better job of keeping the NPCs out of more serious/discussion forums and keep them in more relevant forums.

I just wanted to say thank you for making an REI for Roseus and Serotina! It made my day to log in and see the EI report. I'm really looking forward to learning more about the characters and about Gaia's angels and demons in general, as the Halloween event and the manga have piqued my interest in Gaia's cosmology.
I'd love for this trend to continue with more NPC REIs. You could even do a full-blown EI featuring Cindy as she goes around and interviews a new NPC each week. The EI report could feature her interview, and that week's poses would be based on the featured NPC. ninja

Very interesting question! This is not necessarily the case though! Many NPCs have different personalities and birth signs that may or may not be related to the CI release date.
