Kaida didn't often do parkour at night, but when she did, she always made sure it was during a time and in a place where she wasn't likely to run into anyone. So it was the case that night, one of her non-work nights when she'd managed to finish her homework early. She also made sure she wore brighter colors than usual. That night, it was comfy sneakers, leggings, and a long-sleeved shirt in white and sky blue and bright purple. It was an outfit she really only wore for visibility and comfort. And there was her parkour backpack, too, filled with her water bottle and her snacks for her midway stop.
Her route took her through a park she sometimes went through during the day, the tranquility a welcome respite from the chaos of her daytime routine. (Anyone who thought college was anything but chaotic needed their food and drink checked for substance abuse.) When she reached the fountain, she stopped, sitting on the edge so she could dig her water bottle out of her backpack.
It was the perfect place for a break, she thought.

The first crisp air of Autumn had caught her off guard that day, making her regret heading to work and not spending more time outdoors with Raja. Something she'd done gleefully as soon as she'd been able, before the night had chased her and the canine back into the apartment.
But the need for fresh air had drawn her back out, henshining up and slipping into the night without a glance back. She'd gotten the usual whine from the guide dog as she'd left, but Lilith had liked to believe Raja was used to the quasi-routine after so many years.
Some places just weren't safe for the dog.
Not that her "patrol" took her far, simply not even halfway down the block to the small park with the bubbling fountain she enjoyed listening to. The green auras, not yet fading with the incoming cold, lit her way and joined the copper of her own energy bouncing within her mind's eye. The additional copper however surprised her as she moved into the stone-paved paths that circled the fountain, head cocking as she took in the other figure on the fountain.
Metis paused, hands resting at her side as she lingered. She couldn't make out much of the figure, and for a moment wasn't sure if she should simply run and hide or... not. The view on senshi was largely negative. There was a reason she tried so hard to avoid people. Yet a more selfish part of her balked at the idea of fleeing an area so close to her own home. It was hard to not see the tranquil spot as hers, given how often she simply liked to come and linger a moment or two here while powered.
"It's not often I see someone else here at night," she called lightly, offering a smile as she took a few careful steps towards the figure. She'd been told her uniform was quite conservative compared to some other senshis' attire. She supposed there was always the chance someone might just think her eccentric rather than one of the "costumed terrorists" the media clamored about.
She bit her tongue against the sudden wave of unease, and made a mental vow to not use her magic, regardless of how this went. She had superior speed. That was all she needed to get away if truly necessary. Her voice remained friendly as she added, "I hope I'm not interrupting you."

Kaida startled a bit at the voice, her entire posture moving from relaxation to tense and ready to fight back if needed. She wasn't exactly a helpless flower, and she hadn't been for a few years. Matt and Hiro had made sure of that. When the woman addressing her didn't seem to be a threat, she relaxed.
"No, no. I was just taking a break from parkour. I try to not do parkour in a crowded place at night. Less chance of running some poor soul over on accident." It was odd seeing a lolita out so late, though! The girl's outfit was rather cute, and though there was some odd tug of a half-memory (a news story or something?) at the girl's outfit, she ignored it. "I hope I'm not interrupting something either?" Obviously the other came her often.
