Thus far it had been a splendid afternoon. Yu Ling had been kind enough to escort Allegro around to the best sights in the area and now that it was almost time to say goodbye, he felt awkward doing so. Though he could not quite put a hoof on why. The other stallion had been friendly toward him, and relatively normal, unlike many of those he had met recently. So there was no real reason for any sort of apprehension. And yet it was there... He shuffled a hoof in the grass, like he had many a times as a colt, before he had made up his mind to go out and do as he liked, regardless of what anyone might say.
More than once Allegro had caught himself looking at Yu Ling longer that what one might consider socially acceptable as they went about their little tour. Granted, the pink stallion was not always good at handling social conventions. Hopefully the other stallion had not really noticed his indiscretion. Unfortunately, in this case it was hard to stop; he had met few others that were quite as vibrant as Yu Ling was, particularly in the wing and feather departments. Speaking of possibly rude staring, there he was doing it yet again and Allegro made it a point to turn his gaze elsewhere at least momentarily.
"It is a lovely territory. I appreciate you showing me around." Really, how could a conversation turns so awkward all of a sudden?
He didn't get it. He didn't get it at all!
