Today marked day eight that she had been out of quarantine. Color had returned to her face. Her eyes were still sunken and her cheeks a little too thin, but she was regaining her previous roundness from the copious amounts of food she was now eating. Her stomach was now functioning, and truth be told she had missed cooking and eating. It still didn't sit quite right in her stomach, and sometimes after particularly risky foods she still felt nauseous, but she was on the way to physical recovery.
Mental was a lot harder. She couldn't sleep most nights thanks to her new friend the night light bracelet. Every time it beeped she spiraled right back to the infirmary that night.
But she was at least making appearances outside of her dorm. She always wore long sleeve shirts and jackets, covering up her bracelet and finding closets to hide in any time it started beeping. To be honest her appearances had somehow managed to go from "fashionable homeless person" to plain old homeless person. She wasn't looking very pretty, but she also didn't care. Bombs didn't discriminate appearances.
She was out today visiting the moon lounge to see if she could catch Chris. He was bound to be around and she needed to talk.

The information mill that was Deus was at times giving and restrictive all at once, which made figuring out things strangely difficult occasionally. Word had spread that someone had been released from Quarantine, of which Abbi figured could only mean one person, but no one knew what had happened after. And no one else could tell the girl where Chel was and Abbi just didn't know which room was her's so she didn't take the time to look. She did always keep one eye on the lookout for a shock of pink hair (she knew the first thing the girl would do once free was to return her hair to rights), but Abbi only discovered three other women, and one man, with varying shades of pink hair. Chel was not to be found. Though the search was never given up, Abbi did have to accept that she couldn't devote every hour to finding her friend and thus went about her business. Namely, trying to see where she'd left that one library book. Viveca was insistent she'd left it in the Moon Lounge, despite Abbi's rebuttal that she hardly visited the place not because she disliked crowds but because everyone was always so noisy when she was trying to read thankyouverymuch. But still, in an effort to appease (and more importantly shut up) her headmate, the teen traipsed down the stairs and into the large room. A quick survey of the room held only one book left on a comfy looking couch, of which Abbi made an immediate beeline for. And beelined right into somebody.

Chel stumbled as Abbi bumped into her and said, "Yo watch where the ******** you're-"
It then registered that it was Abbi and she said, "Oy thigh highs. Watch the ******** out." She then flicked Abbi in nose. It was a relatively docile action for someone who had last been seen on the brink of death.

One of those dreadfully ungraceful "oof" noises left Abbi as she collided with the person, though she was quick to regain a measure of composure as she stumbled back and began to lay into the person with a non-stop stream of apologies. Even when she was cursed at, nothing surprising, not when Abbi made good company of people like Leslie, she didn't stop and only did when she heard her nickname. Suddenly she was standing at attention, the girl snapping her face up to stare at her friend for a second. It was only a second because the girl shot both arms out and grabbed Chel in what could only be described as a hug of death. "OOOHHHHMIGOSH I'VE BEEN LOOKING ALL OVER FOR YOU AND WOWOWOWOW I FOUND YOU I WAS LOOKING FOR MY BOOK AND I FOUND YOU THIS IS THE BEST!" The girl stuck her friend out as arm's length to examine her, but realized she was being overly touchy and instead popped both hands off Chel. An excited dance was taken up instead. "I'm so glad to see you're out! I didn't recognize you at all with yanno your hair!"

Danny casually patted Abbi on the head whilst returning her hug. "'As a point bro." She detached from the hug and took a few steps away. "Only been out a little while. Take it easy." She held out her wrist because Abbi was one of the few people she felt at liberty to warn.
"Bomb," she introduced, pointing to the bracelet. "Gotta lay low." Chel then looked at Abbi with very tired eyes. She hadn't even bothered to do her makeup (something that was very odd, since Chel wore her makeup like armor) and her hair was a mess. Most likely she had worn this outfit yesterday and the day before that. Overall, still death-like.

Blue eyes blinked at the bracelet, grew wider and blinked again. "A bomb? So like its one of those... House arrest things? So you have to stay on Island? That's not too bad." Unless it was a real bomb... Then that was bad news bears all over the place. But it wasn't a real bomb, it couldn't be! Deus wouldn't... Well, it wasn't like... They... Abbi might have whimpered very, very quietly. As a form of distraction she smiled at Chel and realized the girl didn't look herself, and it wasn't just the hair. Sure, she looked tired but that was to be expected and her clothing was kinda frumpy but... Abbi hadn't made note of it before but now that it was gone she realized how make-up had been pretty regular for the woman. It was gone now and she looked... Pretty bad. But Abbi couldn't just stick her foot in her mouth by saying that, though she was half tempted just to cut through all the hassle of beating around the bush. She did have an idea though... "Soooooo... You have the day off?" The girl asked in a hopeful tone, rocking back on her heels.

"It's the real deal," she stressed. The whimpering hurt Chel, but she needed Abbi to understand exaclty what kind of situation she was walking into. If Abbi receded, she would understand.
Chel took another step back for good measure.
"Ain't got the day off. Needed Chris to help me get clearance for some of the training courses." She looked around the lounge one last time before deciding he was definitely not here. "Why?"

Why would Deus strap a bomb to one of their own?! What kind of messed up place was this?!?!But Abbi only quirked a smile and rose her shoulders in a laugh. "Whateves! No big, right?" Chel had taken a step back, of which Abbi at once appreciated and disliked because it meant that they were both aware of what the bracelet meant and Abbi had made her friend uncomfortable by questioning it. And that lapse in solidarity was not something she would let happen again. "I... Wait Chris your cousin right?" He was a Moon? Huh, interesting. Not the point. "Well I mean like... You can take a little time and hang out with me, right?" Please say yes, please say yes, Abbi hadn't thought of a polite way to say 'I wanna make you not look like a hobo'.

Chel nodded. "Yeah. You met him?" Chel always forgot that some people weren't aware of the duo wondercousins' existence.
"Probably not Abs," she said somewhat glumly. "Ain't really got room to goof off anymore ..."

"You brought him with you to the movie!" Abbi supplied with a pleased clap of her hands next to her face, both head and hands titled to appear all the cuter. Oh crapbaskets, she was saying no! Abbi really, really, reeeeaaaallllyyyyy hadn't wanted to do this, but Chel left her no choice. It was time for the heavy hitter. "Oh..." The teen's shoulders slumped, her hands dropped behind her back, knees bent and one toe scuffed audibly against the floor. "I was just hoping... I kind of wanted to try make-up for like maybe dates or something... And you always look so put together but like totally natural and gorgeous? So I was hoping you'd help... But its fine! You're totes busy so maybe another time?" A mournful sigh left her. Step one, open claw and wait for prey to enter...

Oh that's right. She'd forgotten about their trip to the movies. It had been so long ago ...
She twisted her mouth at Abbi's request. Chel was not smart when it came to academia and knowledge, but she knew people well. Abbi was showing all of the signs of trying to hard and hiding too little.
Still, Abbi was cute and Chel saw no reason to resist, especially when she was making a face like that. Chel had zero resistance for cute girls who were complimenting her. "I can't right now, but how 'bout I come over when it's dark? Should be done with today by like 7."

Chel was still saying no so it meant the big guns! Careful to imagine big golden sparkles around her face, Abbi turned her chin up and gave Chel her biggest, most sweetest and pleading blue eyes. There was even a bit of a lip pucker going-- wait. Waitaminute wait. "Yeah that's fine! I'm done with Infirmary duty for the day so yeah that'd be... Actually really great!" Just like that the puppy dog eyes were snapped off and replaced with a genuinely hopeful look. Abbi grinned up at Chel and nodded happily once. "Meet me at my room! Unless yours is better! I'm 174!" And then the girl was off, diving after the book she had originally tried to find but discovered that it was not the one she wanted. For a few moments more she looked around the room, poking between cushions and behind chairs before she stood up straight, waved at Chel and bounded from the room. She had preparing to do!!

Chel resisted the urge to get closer and pat the girl on the head. She had to keep her distance.
She watched with a grin as Abbi bounced around the room, invigorated by the enthusiasm. "Yeah yeah. Better have free food or some s**t too." Not that she'd be able to stomach most of it.
---
Later that night, Chel showed up in the same attire (why bother changing herself?), albeit with a small mutation in the form of a box in her hand. Room 174, right?
"Thigh highs? You here?"

Oh there was food. Sure, it was MRE's and an oddly large amount of chip bags, but there was also a pristine looking bottle of vanilla vodka sitting amidst the packaged food on Abbi's desk. As for Abbi herself, she was hunched over on her bed, her back up against a large stuffed bear that was incredibly large as stuffed bears go and much wider than herself. When she heard Chel, she popped up, jumped onto the floor that turned into a roll as she fell and sprung back onto her feet in the open doorway. "Present!" She chirped as a hand shot into the air, looking a little frazzled and a bit like she had been staring at a screen for a very long time. "You made it! Awesome!"

"Holy s**t," Chel whistled at Abbi's (quite frankly) hideous dorm. Way, way too cutesy for Chel's tastes.
But it was Abbi's, and she respected that. "I did. Real tired though. 'M a night owl so this should wake me up." There was a grin on Chel's face, color returning to the sagging features that needed some love.
The amount of food was ignored, because Chel didn't want to think about eating that much. "What're we doin' first?"
