Scotty's Adventurer's Log a.k.a. The Life of A Crazy Amnesiac Alien - Day 1
Sooo... my life is officially crazy.
I wake up in this weird cave to find out that I'm a little white alien with glowing red eyes that looks like it belongs in some sort of dungeon-crawling video game, despite this funny feeling in the back of my head telling me I should at least have fingers and proper legs. Thing is, I don't know for sure, because I can't remember anything beyond me waking up in said cave. On top of that, I keep seeing these weird thingamajigs that no one else sees, which, coupled with the other stuff means I'm probably psychic, a child of prophecy, or completely and utterly insane. Knowing my luck, it's probably all three - wait a sec...
Yeah, according to Luke, it's at least option one - apparently my new species is psychic. Of course, he also mentioned Elgyems having psychic visions is practically unheard of, so the other two options are still open.
Speaking of which, on the way out of the cave I met these two nice fellas - a weird land-shark-dragon-thing and a yellow two-legged dog-Jedi-thing (note to self: try to remember what a Jedi is). They said to call them Gible and Riolu, but those sound ridiculous, and so I have decided to dub them Nibbles and Luke, respectively. I myself have the species name of Elgyem (or at least that's what I look the most like - according to Luke, my coloration indicates I'm some sort of hybrid or mutation), but have taken the alias "Scotty" - I doubt that is my real name, however, as I can only remember the name in conjunction with the phrase "beam me up". Together, we have come to Pokéville and have formed something called an Adventure Team, though we seem to be undecided as to whether we're going to be an exploration team, a rescue team, or some other sort of team. Either way, I've been labeled leader, and as leader, I've chosen the name "Team Misfits" due to the fact, that... well, to be honest, the only thing we've got in common is that we want to make an Adventure Team. Outside of that, we're so radically different from each other that we probably would've never given each other a second glance under normal circumstances (except maybe me and Nibbles).
...Hey, don't look at me like that, you know it's true! Seriously, think about it: "An insane amnesiac alien, a cheerfully ignorant land shark, and a meditating dog decide to make an Adventure Team." It sounds like the start of a bad joke! We don't even share egg groups - I'm Human-shape (provided I can even mate with anyone around here since I'm apparently an alien and all), Nibbles is Monster/Dragon, and you won't even have an egg group until you evolve!
...Anyway... the local Adventurer's Guild has a buddy system of sorts for teams, and we've been paired with another Team right next to us. Can't remember their team name, but they seem nice enough - the leader in particular is actually kind of cute... and I just wrote that in pen, didn't I? Crud, the others are probably gonna see that if they look in this. Eh, whatever. This is Scotty, signing off!

Starting Moveset: Foresight, Quick Attack, Endure, Bullet Punch, Aura Sphere (drawback: can only use Aura Sphere X/5 times before he becomes exhausted, with X being his level rounded down to the nearest multiple of 5)
Team Position: Scout, Stealth Specialist, Negotiator, "The Sane One"
Reason For Making a Team: L: "I want to expand my horizons, hone my skills with Aura, and help those in need." S: *blank stare* "...Say wha now?" L: *sigh* "I wish to explore, train, and help people - things that are easiest when you're in an Adventure Team." S: "Ohhh... gotcha."

(Meh, it's a parody, though you probably already guessed that. Go nuts. Mind you, even if I change my mind about it being a parody, it's still probably going to be humor-heavy, so I suggest you make sure your characters can take a joke.)

It was a beautiful, peaceful day. The sun was shining, there wasn't a cloud in the sky, and there were even a few singing Flying-types for some odd reas -
CLANG-CLANG-CLANG-CLANG-CLANG! "UP AND AT'EM, MINIONS, TIME FOR OUR FIRST MISSION!!! TEAM MISFITS SHALL NOT BE SLACKERS!!!"
...Nevermind.
Luke groaned, getting out of his makeshift bed and mentally noting (not for the first time) that they really needed to make a house on the plot of land they'd been given. If nothing else, they needed their own bedrooms... preferably with some sort of lock system specially built to keep out crazy aliens. "Is that really necessary, Scotty? The other teams aren't even up yet." The Riolu absentmindedly noted Nibbles falling out of his own bed as he turned to stare at the culprit of the noise - a white Elgyem with red eyes, holding a rather large stick in one hand and levitating a metal trash can lid with the other. "Where did you even get a trash can lid, anyway? The trash cans around here don't even have lids."
Scotty paused in his racket-making, staring at the object in question in puzzlement. "...Huh...you know, I actually have no idea..." He shrugged, tossing it over his shoulder (and causing a sound that indicated it might've hit some sort of feline Pokémon - that probably wasn't good) and pointing the stick at his two teammates even as Nibbles got to his feet sleepily. "Anyway, getting up before the others is the whole point! Getting up first means we get our first pick of the missions!"
"Except that our assigned partners are unlikely to be up this early, and so we will have to wait for them anyway. After that, we'll have to ascertain whether they want the same mission we wish to procure," Luke pointed out... and then sighed when his two teammates stared blankly, a bit of drool coming from the corners of their mouths... actually, did Scotty even have a mouth? "The local guilds want us to use the buddy system, remember? That means we need to wait for them to wake up too. Then we have to agree on a mission, since they might want a different kind of mission than we do."
That got looks of dawning comprehension, Scotty nodding. "Oh yeah, that Rotom fella mentioned that." Cue exasperated look from Luke - "that Rotom fella" was one of the local guild leaders, you'd think Scotty would use at least a little more respect when talking about the guy. "Well then, there's a very easy way to fix that! C'mon, Nibbles, let's go wake up the others! We can introduce ourselves while we're at it!"
"Yes Boss-Mon!" And with that, the two idiot savants zipped toward their partner team's location, leaving Luke to stare blankly at the dust silhouettes where they'd been a moment ago. After a moment, Luke snapped out of it, running after his two crazy friends in a (futile) attempt to keep them from waking up Team Chance just so they could get first pick of the missions.

"We were waking you up so we could all get first pick of the missions, of course!" Scotty declared cheerfully, apparently oblivious to Pinch's anger. "...Well, that's what me and Nibbles were doing; I think Luke was trying to stop us for some weird reason."
"That's because not everyone wants to get up at the crack of dawn," Luke deadpanned.
Scotty blinked, tilting his head slightly in a manner that was actually quite adorable. "Eh? Why not?"
Next to him, Nibbles mimicked the motion, parroting his best friend and leader. "Whyno?"
Luke just sighed before turning to the girls. "I apologize for their behavior; there's just no controlling those two."

"YES! Onward, minions, to glory!"
"Adventure!"
Luke just sighed and followed them, trying to ignore his two teammates' insanity/stupidity... yeah, good luck with that.
Soon they reached they Mission Board, and Scotty immediately began surveying the missions available with a surprisingly analytical eye. Nibbles tried to mimic his team leader, but ended up just staring blankly at the board as he struggled to make sense of all the big words. Poor Nibbles.
