Welcome weary traveler, please come in. May I offer you a drink, perhaps some tea to help warm you up. Have a seat anywhere you would like, you are among friends and so you do not have to worry about what lays ahead or ghosts that may be drawing you back. This guild was made for like minded people who have all been through the difficulty of finding others with the passion to write at a literacy compassion. So therefor this forum was made for those to come in and relax. Let your mind free and those creative juices flow.
I am Sweets and I will be your hostess for as long as you are here. Just what is here you may wonder, well what scribbles lay around are just my thoughts and ideas for role plays that have yet to be given a home. Some I wish to find a home for faster than others but in the end I hope to seem them flourish and expand into something more than I could have imagined. That cannot happen with just me alone though. I need at least one other person to help with that, as this is a team effort.
Will you help me?
You will! Good, well let me tell you a bit about myself then. I am out of collage and am working full time, I'm 22 and a proud 90s child. I come from a family of five daughters and am the odd ball middle child of the bunch. I am on central time in the USA and some of the things I enjoy doing are being a classy mother ******** by drinking wine and eating cheese, being a complete idiot by making mistakes, being an introvert by avoiding parties to stay in and read, being an extrovert by needing the company of friends, and being a true southern by loving shrimp and grits and horseback riding along with swimming.
Now then, to get to the real business. The role plays themselves. I am willing to play both male and female, though I am not that good at playing a male. I'm not that big of a fan of playing furries or anything like that. I enjoy a good fandom role play but I prefer to make my own character for them. My partner(s) do not have to though, I just like the process that comes with developing a character. I enjoy all types of role plays, romances are fun, action is great and plot twists are beautiful. Zombies and scifi are fantastically interesting.
Now it is your turn my friend. Tell me about yourself and what you enjoy to role play, if you have any plots already in mind then by all means let me know. I do have a werewolf plot idea as well as a zombie plot, mermaid plot and an arrange marriage plot. If you might be interested in any of them please just let me know. Now, please make sure to quote me to ensure that I respond as quickly as possible. Thank you weary traveler and I hope you enjoy your time here.

Hiya, Sweets! Any plots in particular you are wanting to expand on and write out? As I'm sure you know (or maybe you don't), I stay away from fanfic, but I'm always up for a good, original, plot with a lot at stake and action to drive it forward. I don't have a lot of time to be head on anything, but I'm willing to help develop and then write out any ideas you might be having. Let me know, here or PM, and we'll see what we can't get going and maybe get a few others of these writers involved.

I have a few ideas, though I've never been good at fully being ahead of a roleplay, lol. One idea is during modern times, perhaps a little bit into the future but the government and all that is still basically the same. This role play will be evolving around humans and vampires, starting with a group of vampires who have been turned. Usually when a vampire turns a human they have to by law take them under their wing and teach them their ways. But with these few humans they are left on their own and now the human gov have to 'deal' with them. However, it turns out that the humans are the ones turning said people because they want a reason to kill the vampires by implying that they no longer have full control over everyone and are becoming a threat to humans. So yeah, that will happen, i'm also thinking about perhaps something else happening, like the vampires are actually behind all of this chaos and are building a vampire army, ect.
Another one is more one on one though I guess I can see it becoming more with a few people, but it's set in ancient Ireland and the english saxons are attacking irish villages and trying to take over ireland. This one will be based around an arrange marriage or rather forced marriage. A royal irish ship is attacked by the saxons and the family is all killed except for the daughter who is then forced to marry the son of the saxons. She is then expected to aid in helping her people accept her saxon husband as their king. However, the irish really don't accept him but for the safety of their princess they do not push things...outright anyways. There is a neighboring royal family who is plotting to take back the land and killing the saxon king. Now for this one, the princess either falls in love with the saxon and vise versa and are either killed or go into hiding though they can't go back to england because the saxon prince's father will not approve and would rather see him killed than help him. Or the princess falls for the neighboring king/prince/commoner and helps to kill her own husband.
And that's all I think of for the moment, I know I thought about a werewolf role play here and there but I can't seem to remember just what it was about. Let me know if you have any thing that you might want to evolve on.

I've got no problem with being a co-head on a story with you. I don't know if you've seen in SSLM, but I like to be involved in the finer points of plotting and helping to keep things moving. I just don't have the time to do all the opening stuff like create the OOC, character profile pages, put up opening posts, etc. That's really the only thing keeping me from starting something myself. I could some of that if you need, just not all.
I am intrigued by the vampire modern times one. I've been wanting to try something with a more modern twist to it just to play with the expansion of genre for myself.
Here are some ideas I have on your plot line. Let me know what you think: Vampires have come out of hiding in the last thirty years. It has been a long, hard 30 years as humans have needed to come with terms with these creatures of the night. New laws have been put into effect to help manage and regulate human/vampire interaction and relations. One such rule is that any human who is turned must be mentored by the vampire who turned them. This ensures the new vampire does not go on a blood-rage and learns how to manage it's thirst and how to safely take blood from willing donors.
Things have settled down more or less in the last five years. The vampires have their areas of living and the humans have theirs. Peace is more or less achieved between the two species. However, recently, there has been a rash of humans who have been changed and are being left without mentors. There is rumor that these changes are sometimes happening unwillingly by the human. There is now a growing panic amongst humans and some are starting to demand for the Hunts (when humans could legally kill vampires without "just" cause) to be started again. The vampire Council/politicians are assuring this is a rouge issue and it will be stopped once the leader(s) have been caught.
Tensions are running high and the situation could be out of control at any moment. We need some heroes to save the day.

Sorry! Life kind of exploded on me for a moment there. But I love it! I was also thinking about just what these heroes could be. I figured at least one would need to be a politician who doesn't agree with what the Gov is doing/allowing and another could be a double spy, either for the good guys or the bad guys. Then another one could be someone who was actually changed many years ago but the profile of their change is the same and said person has been hunting down this 'rouge' vampire for centuries with no luck. Then another could be someone who is a hunter but only believes in hunting with a 'just' cause. (I actually totally have characters for those two xD) I was thinking that two more characters would make a nice group and give the team a good diversity though I can't really think of what they should be. I only wanted to do about 6 to 8 people since the more people you get the harder it is to plot with everyone. At least for me it is. Plus I figured we could decided if these characters are vampire or human, that way we can get an even number of both and there isn't an over abundance of one.
Oh! and another idea, I was thinking that perhaps everyone could have a secret that only on other person knows. Though you and I will know at least half of the secrets, I figured we could give the person their secret once their character is profile is done and we could split it up by like, you could give the vampires their secrets and I could give the humans theirs. These secrets will be what the Gov will try to use against them and there could be possibly other things, like perhaps someone is ill and only has a month to live...well maybe not that drastic but still you get the point. Plus, i want the vampires to be just like any classic vampire, can't go in sunlight, stake to the heart, garlic is gross, no powers, that sort of thing. Also since they've been out for almost fifty years I was thinking that by now with all the technology they have clothing and things that let them outside in the sun temporarily. For like, maybe an hour or two, just enough time to let them get from one place to another if they have to travel during the day time.

Don't worry one bit. Life has been doing random explosions on me here for the last month or so. I totally get it. One moment I'm booked all day, the next I have hours of free time, then I get booked again...on and on it goes.
I'm glad you like the ideas. I agree, a small group is better than a large. The best groups I've been in have no more than 5 or 6 others. It allows for better group interplay and connections to be built I've noticed because they are having to interact more, typically across several characters. Though this tends to mean that folks need to be willing to write up two characters or so, depending on the scope of the story and what it needs to make it work.
I like the more traditional vampire setting. Though there are some traditions in there that you didn't mention so we'll want to hash out exactly what mythology we want to follow. For example, in some, vampires can turn into smoke/bats/wolves, they can't cross running water, have to sleep in a coffin on grave dirt, can't stand silver or the Christian cross, are literally OCD (some myths say that if you put a pile of sand by your door, the vampire has to stop and count all the grains before entering. Large enough pile keeps him busy until sunrise when he turns into a pile of dust himself), or that they cannot enter a home without an invitation. Some things can be explained, like garlic is a blood thinner, if you need to drink it to live, thinning it isn't good. Silver can be an allergic reaction with overly sensitive skin. I'm sure you get my drift.
Not too overly sure how the whole secrets things might play out. I'm interested by it to be sure. But I think we'll need a more concrete story line in place and some actual characters written out before I could see how that one would play out a bit more. I do like the concept though.

Yes, I completely agree. I have one large group roleplay but it moves slow enough for everyone to plot out things. But you know, perhaps though different things can just be dependent on the vampire. The silver and the cross and garlic are for everyone but being OCD could just be how an individual's senses were heightened or walking across running water could be perhaps because the vampire has had a very bad experience with running water. Also changing could be dependent on the vampire as well, perhaps they turn into smoke, or they turn into a bat. Since there are so many things, I'm sure the humans (When they knew nothing about them) just thought it applied to all vampires when really it was just how the person was effected by being turned into a vampire. Though I really like the idea of having to be invited into a home for everyone because that would just be frustrating at times for sure. As for the whole coffin thing, it could be possible that vampires don't have to, they just sleep better with grave dirt under them because it helps them to relax, kind of like being back in the womb for them.

Yep and I'll let ya know when I make the profile and everything.

How about the idea of Houses? or Clans? for the vampires? Each House has a separate "curse" and "gift". There are some that are universal, like no daylight. But another, the House members can change into cats but cannot enter a house uninvited? We'd want to keep it simple, only have like 3, I'd say no more than 4 Houses, just to keep things small and containable. Heck, we could even break down into two Houses if we wanted.

Oh I love the idea of the houses. Lets only have two, perhaps one can be more modern and excepting of the new life that vampires are living while the other house is more traditional and wanting to keep to the old ways.

Hmmm.....House of the Stars and House of the Moon, perhaps? When a vampires is newly Turned, they are immediately part of the House that the vampire that sired them belongs to. I also kinda like the idea of a third and "unofficial" House, where all the rejects and undesirables go; the Un-Housed or something like that.
And here are some traits possible for the Houses. This is an incomplete list...
Stars: have minor mind control through eye contact with their victim, possessive and control freaks to the point of near OCD, quick reflexes
Moon: can transform into cats, bats; highly sensitive to garlic and silver, physically strong
Both: need permission to enter private property, cannot be out in sunlight, killed by stake in the heart
