Kinda wanted to weigh some opinions on this. I want to start a YouTube channel that goes over Trans issues as a whole. There are plenty for each sub division of the trans community but not one that covers all of them. Thoughts? Anyone willing to do it?

On YouTube, I usually find channels that are vlogs of people documenting their transition. Some of them would do the occasional informative video about something general that's Trans related, but I haven't seen much more than that. I probably didn't look more, anyways sweatdrop
I think we can collect thoughts of things we as Trans people looked for and had trouble finding on the Internet, and then we can cover these things, you know? I would be more than glad to discuss anyone's thoughts but I can't for the life of me appear in any video gonk . . . So, yeah. . .

I have a channel myself, but have fallen out of maintaining it. Personally, I'd be careful having one, as it's harder to find material of this nature on there due to it being pulled.

[Am I allowed to post in here even if it's old...? If not, then notify me and I'll delete this.]
A YouTube channel for different trans issues would be amazing... It would definitely be something I'd watch. (Although not produce as I'm too shy...) Speaking about anything that's considered 'out of the norm' is intimidating, and is probably one of the reasons there are so few trans channels. I believe it could really help some people with some more support and information though.

What if we all shared one channel named after the guild and uploaded vlog updates as a collective? It would give the channel a lot of content, for one; for two, it would give the viewers a variety of different perspectives and experiences on the same channel; for three, we could use the profit from the channel to fund annual meet-ups, donate to trans*-friendly charities, and so on.
For people who aren't comfortable on camera, we could use gaming footage or animation for video material and record the vlogger's voice, giving the viewer something to see and something to hear while allowing the camera-shy vlogger to remain in their comfort zone.
The main thing is that in order to get anything done, we just have to start doing it. One of us needs to make a channel. One or two of us needs to make a couple videos. They don't even have to be good videos. The idea of having a YouTube channel and all that jazz is useless if nothing is done to make it a reality.

This is a very valid point. I know it can be really hard to find things to talk about that would be useful though. I myself am not the best at coming up with certain topics. Though we could make a thread about what to talk about for the week and have one person post their perspective on the topic each day. Would be interesting. Of course you can post here! Any topic not locked is okay to post in.

' Actually, what I was thinking was more of an open forum, where we could all upload videos whenever we had the time, making at least two or three videos a week, talking about our feelings, our experiences, or even just a funny story or a response to comments and questions from the viewers. We could talk about crossplay, transitioning, career choice, the effects of college, passing with a budget, health and work-outs, anything, really. There's always something going on in somebody's life that's worth talking about. Hell, we could even do trans* group let's-plays every other week, if we didn't have any other source of content. The most important thing is to start making videos. Talking about it does nothing, as I said before, and starting another thread just to talk about topics would be very likely to go nowhere. We just have to jump in head-first, no testing the water, no preparation, and let the viewer response be our guide. At the very worst, we could get a little teasing about the video quality/quantity.

I'd definitely be up to contributing videos when we get this up! My webcam is super shitty, but this sounds like a fun idea!

Jack_o_LanternsinJuly I'd definitely be up to contributing videos when we get this up! My webcam is super shitty, but this sounds like a fun idea! Ooh, ooh, we could do a segment in which trans* people watch movies about trans* issues, kind of like what Jake and Hugo do on TheBibleReloaded in their "Atheists watch" segments.

In fact, there's a lot of interesting stuff that doesn't really make it to the news or even most dinner tables. See? There's plenty to talk about! Let's make some ******** videos! XD

Lol yeah, sounds good. Kinda need to get back to florida before I start doing anything else but yeah. Trans* lets-plays would be interesting.
