Grrel, after several months of lounging at home and enjoying the benefits of being the only female Khehorian in the clan, heard Toki mention something about a place on Serenia that spiked her interest. She'd become a Khehorian for the power; hoping it could help her in some way do something about the Bond. And this place, this Kawyn Ruin, was apparently the birth place of her people. After talking with Toki about, picking his brains for anything else he could remember or extrapolate from the old legends and stories of their people, she headed off.

Maybe there'd be something there that could help her! She doubted that papers would survive.. but.. you never knew! And besides, it was once a huge sanctuary (if you believed the stories) filled with mages! Two legger mages liked to hoard things... shiny things... magical things. Perhaps there was still treasures hidden there?
She took the flight in several stages, stopping by and sleeping on the small islands that dotted the seas between lands, enjoying the luxurious sights and slow flight. Nice to not be in a hurry, she thought to herself as she cruised towards land. The golden beaches of Serneia lay before her... as did a rather bright red figure on the sands below. She could feel the power coming from it, a Khehora's power. Curious as to who it was, she lazily swooped down to land nearby.

Braith wasn't really the most adventurous of souls, not that the idea of an adventure wasn't interesting but more that it just wasn't for him. Adventure always tented to take a lot of energy and the Firani would like to just laze about doing as little as possible. At the moment the Khehora was laying on his back, his glowing 'wings' spread out wide to soak in the sun. Looking at the ocean despite everything appearing upside down due to how he was laying, the Firani gave a happy sigh. He rather like this place. The heat of the sun, a cool, salty breeze that came in off the ocean, and nice hot sand to lay in, this place was paradise... well, save for those annoying Mara creatures but their appearances had tapered off of late allowing him to once more enjoy his trip to Serenia. When the Mara were about his vacation had been pretty well ruined, but now it was so much nicer.

His eyes sank closed for a moment, half dozing, that was until the point when he'd heard the skittering sound of lots of legs moving passed. Eyes popping open once more he found himself starring at a shellfish that he knew was rather tasty. It was wandering passed, on its way to one place or another, but now that he saw it he would make sure it didn't get there. Wiggling in the sand to get closer to the creature he reached out with one clawed hand toward it, grabbing at it, but couldn't quite reach, "Bah... stupid creature... come closer so I can eat you." He ordered it, something that caused the creature to snap at him with it's big claws.

"Hey! Now that wasn't nice!" Giving a grumble Braith shifted so that he could get that much closer, reaching out toward the creature once more. He made grabby hands at it a moment, that was until the sound of something much bigger landing nearby drew his attention. Bolting up right he looked around, half expecting to see a dragon nearby... only to see another Khehora. He starred at her a moment before he flopped back again on the said, tail swishing, and said, "Hello there!" He was curious if she was here to make use of the nice beach as well. That was fine by him, he didn't mind her being about, that was unless she was here to eat his shellfish?! No! He wouldn't allow that he thought to himself as he flailed at the creature again but without any sort of luck. He wanted very badly to eat the thing but didn't want as much to move, it really was a conundrum.

Grrel chuckled as she saw the male attempt to grab a shellfish.. while not moving from his spot. She walked over and kicked the thing slightly closer to him. Since he obviously didn't want to move, might as well! She'd always wanted people to do that for her when she was lazying around....

"Hello there, you look like the perfect picture of enjoyable laziness..." Very attractive too, now that she was this close to give him a look over. What is it with Khehorians and being attractive? She thought to herself, I keep running into very nice looking ones...

Sorry for my slow on this one, until you reminded me I completely spaced that we started it. ^_^;;;

Braith watched as the female came over to him, kicking the shellfish his way, and he happily caught it in his clawed hands. Looking the creature over he gave it a sharp toothed grin and purred, "It would appear as though snack time has come early! Prepare yourself to be broiled in your own shell, Snack!" He told the creature, more then happy to use his fiery magic to quick roast the creature in its own shell. Once that was done he lifted up his gaze to look toward Grrel, giving her a smile, "You are truly a Goddess walking the earth to have blessed me with such a gift! You have my eternal gratitude!" He gold her, his thick tail wagging before his attention went back to the unfortunate but delicious creatures in his hands.

The big Firani was happily humming to himself as he cracked the creature in half and set to eating out of one half before, after a long internal debate with himself, he offered the other half of the creature to the 'Goddess' who had provided him with the meal, "Best that I given an offering to the beautiful Goddess, right?" He said, smiling at Grrel, giving her a wink before he he continued to munch on his half of the delicious, delicious creature that he had in his hands.

.

Grrel laughed at his lavish compliments. "Offerings are always accepted." She said loftily as she ate the slightly toasted creature. He really was rather happy for a Khehorian, she thought, after all the others I've met...
"You know," she said as she curled up on the sum warmed sand. "You are a very relaxed Khehorian. All the others one's I've met have been... dramatic or having lots of drama going on. Especially my clan and Sam with his mate issues...." She looked at him curiously. "Lots of power plays going on. You don't seem to have that going on.. not with being so lazy and comfortable looking in the sands! Do you not have a clan... is that how you're not embroiled in those silly things?" One of the reasons she was here was to get away from power plays. They were irritating. She did like the attention but it was irritating being considered and adult and one who's opinion was sought after... Searching for information on the Bond was really a partial excuse to go out and see more of the world again.

The Firani seemed to think over the question for a moment, then said, "I will take it as a compliment then that you see me as less dramatic then others you've met. It's just not my thing to get all riled up and dragged into clan affairs." He explained between bites, "Not to say I don't have a clan, but it's more a group that I visit on occassion then somewhere I spend the majority of my time." The Khehorian finished off his meal, shell and all as he wasn't one to waste food, and then laid back on the sand once more, giving a purr as he did so. A good meal, a warm sandy beach, and some nice company, this was the sort of vacation he'd been pining after all this time he thought to himself.

Glancing over toward the female he said, "I tend to do my own thing, I find spending too much time with a clan, especially with Khehorian powers, that they want you to do things. Either a lot of work or they try to woo you to their side so that they can use you later. Not really how'd I'd like to spend an afternoon. You must be a brave woman indeed to deal with such drama yourself." Such things weren't for Braith but if others wanted to enjoy such a thing more power to them. He was happy right where he was.

Crossing his arms behind his head, eyes sinking closed, he asked, "Did you come here for a break? Or are you one of those dragon hunting sorts?" Yet another thing he had little interest in. Why hunt a creature down for its orbs when you no longer needed them? Especially when he really hadn't hunted them in the first place having used various other methods to get his hands on the ones needed for his ritual to become Khehorian. It wasn't that he had a lust for power but it was more just curiosity and a challenge, to see if someone as lazy and unmotivated as he was could even become such a thing. He'd proven that it was possible and now lazed away his days enjoying his secondary form to its fullest.

I find it amusing she still calls Magescians two leggers even though she has a two legger form now herself XD Right hand image is a sketchy version of what she looks like. Snow was working on it.. but RL has eaten her up so sketch is all I've got so far :3 These were poses I had to chose from~

Grrel chuckled at his response. She'd been thinking that a lot lately! "Lucky you. I like my clan! But... " She sighed. "Being the only female Khehorian was fun for only a short while... not any more. Especially with all the politics going on since we're such a large and settled Clan."

Doing her own thing (like she had these past few months) was sounding more and more attractive. Though she'd never abandon her clan entirely! Just.. longer vacations definitely. "Mm... I do enjoying hunting. Right now I'm on half vacation half search really. I'm looking for this place the two-leggers call Kawyn Ruins. That's apparently where we were changed from Dragon to what we are now... And taking a vacation and enjoying Serenia. I was here years ago and enjoyed it. Very nice and filled with life but not as much danger or stress as Eowyn." As for Dragon hunting.. .she h ad all the orbs she'd needed... had some left over even and she just didn't see too much point in it anymore. If she was attacked then sure... but she wasn't going to actively hunt them down like she'd used to!

She shifted to her two legged form and stretched out on her stomach, spreading her wings to soak up the sun. Nice thing about this form is it's easier to sun bath in!

"Know of any rumors on the Ruins? All I've got are vague stories and legends of our people." She asked in a lazy voice. Maybe I'll just stay here till evening then continue on then.. this is comfy.

Braith listened as she spoke of being the only female Khehorian being fun until clan politics came into play, "You have anyone try to fix you up yet? My mother is pretty bad about that one when I do go home." He told Grrel before giving his best 'high pitched woman voice' and said, "Now Braith, you really should meet her! She's quite the hunter! I am sure she wouldn't mind a lazy boy like, at least meet her?" He gave a bit of a face as he finished up the impression of his mother, giving a bit of a laugh. If the Firani was here she would give him that look that only a mother could give, something that he was safe from at least for the moment since she was far from here, lucky for him.

"Hm? Kawyn Ruins...?" She set to explaining what the place was and it made sense then why the name of the place sounded familiar, it was something that ever Khehora heard of at least once in story. When it came to the details of the place though that was something that Braith was a bit lacking in, he only knew as much as one could hear in a bedtime story when one was still a little whelp, nothing he could say he'd thought about of late. Giving a bit of a smile he said, "Can't say I know much more then bed time stories, sorry. Are you actually wanting to visit that place?" He sounded as though he didn't quite believe it, not sure why anyone would want to go there... unless of course there was treasure?

Sitting up slowly the lazy Khehorian stretched out all over, his wings giving a bit of a flutter before he said, "I can't say I am too keen on going somewhere that is haunted myself but I bet there is probably treasure in a place like that, huh?" He was a fan of treasure, finding shiny things to be quite tempting when it came to getting him moving. Without proper motivation he'd much rather laze about all day, but treasure was one of those motivators, the other being an abundant source of food. If there were treasure he might actually be tempted to see if this pretty female wanted company on her journey.

We should totally have wisps and dragaur haunting this place XD Or walking dead (cause I have made them up in an adventure and animated skeletons are a thing!)

Grrel laughed at his imitation. "Nah, I don't have that... my parent's are really laid back. They were just glad to see me after I was gone for so long doing my ritual so I didn't get any talks about maybe settling down. Guess with my clutch sibs already having nests they don't pester me as much." That and her parents knew she liked to do things her way and that poking her over having a nest would just make her dig in her claws and not have one!

"I do want to check it out; if it is where the Magescian mages made us then if there is anything with information on the bond and how it was created I'd find it there. At the source. Otherwise I'll have to try sneaking into the libraries of the two-leggers..." She responded, propping herself up on her elbows to look at him. "My shaman told me all th stories... there weren't too many of them. Guess our people just wanted to get away from there so they didn't make too many tales about it. I think it must have been a terrible place for them!" It had to be, otherwise why had her people fled? Certainly they had managed to escape the bond before! And they had left and fled to the wilderness... which meant they were fleeing from something they did not like. It simply reinforced her idea that the bond was slavery!

When he mentioned treasure her eyes light up; she did love her sparklies! "Well, it was a huge place made for mages from what little I know. If any place has treasure a mage's workshop would!" She hadn't thought of that... she was after information more than anything, but now that she was thinking about it... Her tail lashed eagerly, "I bet there will be something left behind! Though it is old so other people may have already gone over it and taken most... But mages like to hide treasures... and those aren't as easily found by non mages." She hummed softly to herself. Maybe she could find information and treasure! Be nice.... If she only found treasure than the trip wouldn't be wasted at least!

"Want to join me? It'd be nice to have some company. And two eyes make for an easier time treasure hunting!" And make any ghosts that lingered there less scary.... Fire was also a cleansing magic after all... so maybe it was better at killing ghosts than lighting! Not that she knew since she'd never met a ghost but it made sense!

Braith thought about what she was saying for a moment, looking her over, then looked himself over, and gave a laugh as he said, "Yeah, I don't think it would be easy for those like us to just waltz into the libraries of the two-legs unnoticed, we don't exactly look like them. Not to mention I have always towered over all of those I have met in the past. A brightly colored giant doesn't get to go just anywhere without arousing suspicion." A shame, he wanted nothing more then to get to visit their cities, they always looked so interesting from a distance. The best he could do though was visit small towns and the occasional caravan, not nearly as interesting but at least they were places that had good food he thought to himself idly.

Those thoughts aside he was once more listening as the female spoke again, first about her shaman and what he'd been able to tell her, then she went into the fact that there might be hidden treasure that wasn't so easily found somewhere in the ruins she was planning on visiting. Now that was interesting to even someone as lazy as him. Treasure was a useful thing, it could be sold and traded for all manner of things that would make his easy life that much easier. He was all for gathering it if he could, if only because it was so valuable and because the two-legs seemed to have a powerful desire for it. He would be able to stuff himself with good food for a long while if they found something worth enough in such a place. Yes, he had to go!

He was about to ask about tagging along, feeling that treasure outweighed his fear of spooky things, when she was actually inviting him. Perking up his thick tail set to wagging, "As if I could refuse such an invitation from a lovely Goddess such as yourself." He said, finally given enough motivation to push himself up to his feet, stretching out all over as he did so. Once he'd gotten all the kinks out he offered the female a hand up as well as a smile.

Oh hey.. they never did introduce themselves XD

Grrel watched in appreciation as he stretched before languidly accepting the hand up. Drat, guess I don't get to take a nap now, she thought to herself.

"They are rather short!" Of course one reason she didn't want to enter a library was she was not certain she could control her anger towards them... Fighting her way through a city was not her idea of fun.

"You are a flirt!" She said with a smirk. "I'm called Grrel. Though you can keep calling me lovely goddess!" Know that she was thinking about it she know the name of the ruin.. but not really where it was.

"Any idea where the ruin is?"

"The worst thing about their small stature is that they never seem to cook enough, the portions are like snack food at best." He said, sticking his tongue out for a moment before he gave a chuckle. The times that he ended up spending extended amounts of time with the two-legs in the past they tended to increase the amount of food that they made. Well, some of them at least, there were kind ones as well as the more aggravating ones, one just had to find the right two-legs when you wanted to mooch of them he thought to himself.

Grinning that much more when he was called a 'flirt' he gave a toothy grin, "Awww, it seems that you found me out!" He said, giving her a wink, before his thick tail set to wagging, "Grrel is it? A lovely name for a lovely Khehorian, for certain. My name is Braith, it's is a pleasure to meet you." She was something special indeed given the mere fact alone that she was able to get him motivated to do more then laze about in the sun. Were it not for her coming up with such an interest plan he would have likely spent the rest of the day, maybe longer, right where he was without wandering too far off.

"Hmmm... where it is? That is a good question, my eletric goddess, but I am sure we will be able to find the place. We just have to think about what stories we have heard, surely those will help?" A shame he didn't know any scholorly sorts among the Khehora and two-legs that he knew, it would make things a lot easier when it came to finding the ruins they wanted to search. If there was a place they could find a map that could help? Would a map have such a place written on it though that was the question.

So I put the Ruins in the western most area of Serenia away from major populations and the lakes.
Grrrel chuckled at his comment on the food; "I've only ever eaten with one Magescian before... it's been years since I've last seen her but she did always cook small amounts... At least her Cafe was able to produce a good meal!" She grinned hugely; visiting Kadryn's family's cafe, seeing all the rather shocked expressions of the Magescinas when she just sauntered into their village had been fun! Food was good and plentiful too! But only because her mother and uncle kept on cooking until Grrel had been full!
Braith eh? A good name that... and not one of those annoying long, hard to pronounce and pompous names so many of her kind seemed to like.

"Hmm.." Grrel dusted the sand off her scales and thought for a moment. "One story Toki told me is from the Magescian's did mention that it lays west and south of the ... what was it... Shining crown of the Orderite city? Some silliness like that. So... Southwest of Ashen City." At least that narrowed it down! Did any of them mention it laying along the sea though? She thought back as her tail slowly swung back and forth sinuously . Not that she could recall... Just abut it being amid a forested wilderness. Though some had it on a tall hill or half buried in a mountain.

"Hmm... Maybe it's best if we look in the mountains as a few of our older tales mention fleeing the mountains." She said as she looked towards the horizon and the low mountains she could barely see in the distance. "Plus mountains are usually where secrets get hidden!"

"Hmmm, a cafe, huh? I'd love to go there with you sometime, my Goddess... provided of course that you don't think that the two of us might put her cafe out of business. That wouldn't be too terribly nice of us now would it?" He gave a bit of a chuckle, wondering what a two-leg restaurant might think were they faced with the idea of having to feed two large Khehorians. So long as they paid for everything that they inhaled he supposed that the two-leg shouldn't be too depressed about them eating her out of house and home... and business. It was one of those mental images that made him chuckle a bit to himself.

Giving a thoughtful sound, as well as trying to focus when she spoke of where the ruins might be Braith said, "Best that we avoid the Ashen City, given the mess the Mara seemed to be making I doubt that anyone there will be in an amiable mood." The last thing he wanted was for the two of them to be mistaken as enemies and attacked by a bunch of birds that had their feathers all fluffed up he thought to himself. He'd much rather go about this the calmest and easiest way possible meaning avoid the Orderites while they were all riled up.

As she continued, speaking of the mountains, he nodded, "A good place to check, though we will need to be cautious. I have seen some rather good sized Aeduan heading in that direction. I don't know about you but I don't feel quite up to tussling with those guys." He wasn't one for fighting anything but what could be cooked up and put in his belly. Aeduan were far from the normal, delicious fare that he went after so hunting them was out of the question. Giving a laugh he said, "So, we will need to avoid Orderites and Aeduan, head into the mountains, and hope to find the secret, hidden ruins that were the place of our birth? Sounds like an interesting way to spend the afternoon. Shall we be off then my purple haired Goddess?"

"I could take you there if you wanted. The owners are very nice... and the few two-leggers I actually like." They'd been respectful and had not tried to get any information out of her about eggs or the Bond.. instead they'd just asked about her.. and a bit about how she and Kadryn had meta and gotten along ans stuff.. but mostly about her! Always a nice thing to be appreciated and respected!

"Avoiding big cities is a good thing! Unless I have a clan with me to raid it of course!" Grrel chuckled. Not that she'd do that.. yet.. But the idea was fun! "And definitely avoid Aeduan dragons!" Grrel had never faced one... nor did she want to! The strongest dragon around? She wasn't that stupid!

She laughed and flared her wings and took a running leap into the skies. "Put that way it's far more fun and interesting than trying to browse old tomes in two-legger libraries! Hurry up handsome, or I'll leave you behind." She called back and flipped her tail at him before swooping off. She wasn't going to speed her way; why lose him when she wanted to spend the afternoon with him? But a chase was always fun!

Her thought were moving away from the serious task of searching for information to the far more pleasing thoughts of a fun afternoon spent exploring!
