'Trouble' caused the General Queen to perk up; she was quick to take action against
issues, and she was already certain that Titan was not here to waste her time.
"Not reported?" she prompted, and despite her smile, her tone was undeniably clipped. "A six month absence is a significant amount of time. Someone must investigate this. I do not expect you to fix issues in the ranks, I will look into that myself. I thank you for bringing it to my attention that there were issues."
A failure in communication might indicate failure on other friends, and the thought of failure made Laurelite's stomach churn. She kept a cool face, however; she did not want to display any sort of weakness towards the Agent before her.
"Though, if you are looking for Orders, the most logical thing to do is find what information you can regarding Realgar's disappearance—and who might be responsible for failure to report. Such action requires reprimand, if not discipline."
…Purification, though. Could no one have noticed him losing loyalty? Could he really have gone over to the enemy
willingly?
Or had they discovered a new method to purify them without consent?
Questions churned in her head and it was all she could do not to shift restlessly. She had too much work on her plate already to do grunt work—to collect information and trace leads.
But Titan seemed invested in this case already, and if he was the one reporting it to her, that meant he was currently the one with the most information. He seemed loyal enough—a hard worker, and one who was genuinely concerned that they were functioning as a unit.
"…Is this a task you are up to, Captain? I would be
ever so grateful if you could continue looking into this. You have such a genial atmosphere about you. I'm sure no one would have an issue opening up to you."
Though, his size was certainly impressive and intimidating; she was almost grateful for the excuse to remain seated so she didn't have to see how tiny she was in comparison.
