Paige was a morning person.
She wasn't just a morning person. She was one of those chipper, annoying, whistling, dancing kind of morning people. The kind of morning person who didn't need a cup of coffee to feel human. The kind of morning person who evoked homicidal thoughts in most other people.
And breakfast was Paige's favorite meal of the day.
She burst into the cafeteria humming a song. Paige passed the coffee machine and moved right to the food, loading up a tray before spinning on her heel and doing a quick little two-step before bellowing, "This girl is on fiyaaaaaaaaah!"
It was at that moment that she realized she wasn't alone in the cafeteria. Paige approached the only other person there, almost violently seating herself right next to a buxom, dark-haired beauty she very much remembered from a conversation on Twitter.
"Heeeey. You're Cee, right? Paige. We talked on Twitter. Remember?"

Paige must have been too deep into her morning frolic to notice that Cee was wearing giant glasses indoors, had an unlit cigarette in her fingers (with a matchbook close by but unused) and there was pink bedazzled travel mug that was never far from her lips. The crashing arrival had her whole body tense, her hand splaying out in a 'stop' motion. "Yer like... here right now.." She motioned to a point above her head. "And I need ya ta be at like... here.." She her hand dropped below her chin. Cee's voice was groggy and sharp.

"Oh." Paige cleared her throat. When she spoke again her voice was quieter, almost a whisper. "Oh." She moved a little closer. "What's wrong," Paige whispered, squinting her eyes. "Can I get you anything?"

Each time Paige's voice dropped an octave, the tense her body also dropped until she was basically sagging at the table. It almost looked like her head and arms were jelly resting on top of her ample chest which was on the table top and solely holding her upright. "Thank you..." Cee smiled, tense and polite, and canted her head to the other woman. "Paige you said?" And she nodded, "A bottle'a aspirin would be like ******** gold right now."

"Aspirin." Right. Uhh. She glanced over at her rapidly cooling breakfast before peering back at Cee. "Lemme just jog over to the infirmary. You figure that's where they'd have some?"

Seriously? This chick was going to just do that? Nice."Yeah.. yeah they got it." She followed Paige's eyes to the breakfast. "Don't worry about that. I'll get you a better one." What did that mean?

"Okay." Paige's voice was still a hushed whisper. "I'll be right back." She really didn't know what Cee meant about a better one, but Cee looked like the kind of girl that had always been just a little out of Paige's reach. It was easy to fall back into bad habits, and being some PYT's gopher felt just a little too familiar. Paige gingerly rose out of her chair and jogged off. Ten, fifteen minutes passed, and she came jogging back - a little out of breath, but a handful individually-packaged aspirin clutched in one hand and a cool paper cup of water juggled in the other.

As soon as Paige was out the door, Cee tilted her glasses down and looked at the very end server behind the buffet. He was a fairly normal looking brunette moon hunter. "Mike." He avoided her eye. "Mike. Mike. Mike. Mike. Mike." She continued in a flat tone until he eventually tore himself away and walked over with his hands in his pockets. He barely looked up from his shoes but when he got there he looked annoyed as hell. "What?!" "My friend needs a hot breakfast. This is cold." She didn't even look up from her coffee when she made the demand. When he didn't initially answer he looked up again. "Ahem...?" Whatever she had on him worked, and he took away the tray and by he time Paige returned there were steaming freshly cooked food and a brand new cup of coffee waiting. Cee's dark doe eyes widened in appreciation behind her glasses. "Oh my gahd girl.. yer like my savior."

Paige set the cup down and put the aspirin down in front of Cee before taking her previously vacated spot. A hot breakfast awaited, and Paige grinned over at Cee as she dug in. It tasted like s**t, but it was filling enough.
"No problem. I hope it helps. I been hungover like that before. Sucks."

"Hones'ly.." Cee tore the aspirin open and took four. The others went into the large bag next to her. "I don'no why I even stopped. It's so niiiice while it's still goin.." She sunk again into her own chest with a slightly cute whine. "You smoke weed?" She said blatantly looking over at Paige. Her eyes asked, 'are you cool?'.

"I did. Not anymore." She shrugged her shoulders and took a drink of coffee. "Doesn't bug me or anything." Paige shoved her tray aside and rested her chin in her palm. "I limit my vices to tamer s**t these days. Beer, smokes, really good ******** chocolate." She grinned at Cee.

"Two of those three things you named... taste like s**t." Cee waved her unlit cigarette, which up until now she'd only put to her lips once. She couldn't let the set up go though, "But that ain't stop me from puttin half the s**t I have inta my mouth.. ahahaha.." Paige got a nudge before Cee stopped laughing, groaned, and clutched her head.

Paige let out a snort of laughter, though at Cee's pained groan her laugh quieted. "You're bad," Paige chuckled, chewing on her lip. "How long you been on the island for?"

"Lil ol' me?" Cee then sipped desperately from her pink travel mug. "Five? Almost five months?" Her hand waggled in the air in an unsure fashion. "Yer new right, sweetcheeks??" Cee's head turned to really fully look at Paige. She was kind of adorable. "You need like newbie intro stuff? My version's different then the others."
