Quote: Life Hunter BATTLE ARENA General Information The portal opens up into an observation room, and down the stairs, an odd chamber for something like hunter training. At the center of a piranha-filled pool stands a solid stone table and several chairs. The Life Arena was built underneath the demolitions and ballistics testing areas, and the chamber rumbles with the occasional explosions above. Pinpoint red lasers sweep across the room regularly, as if hidden snipers are searching for a nice target. In the center of the table sits a wooden tower, made up of smaller wooden blocks. Yes. That's right. The Life Hunters prefer to train via Jenga.
Note: Distraction techniques and Yo Momma jokes are considered viable weapons when playing competitively.
If you fail: you have knocked down the tower! A small dart hits the back of your neck. You come to several hours later, and hope Dr. H didn't do anything to your body while you were unconscious. When you look into the mirror...
If you win: you have reached 50 points! You get a sharpie marker to do with as you please. peen points go to those with the highest scores.
Group Play Playing in a group on any course means certain things can be shifted to make it a better experience for multiple people without holding anyone back. An approved group play alteration for the life arena goes as follows: When someone knocks the tower down, they are shot with a weaker dart. They will wake up 5 minutes later, the game can be reset back to the point before it fell by placing their hands on the table and saying the word, constructum. This allows them to start again where they left off instead of the beginning. They can take up to three of these darts before passing out for an hour, the game will not reset for them and they will need to try again from the beginning.
Mechanics - by carefully removing pieces of the tower, you earn points and advance to the next round. As the rounds continue, the odds grow steadily against you. Rolling a 1 at any point means you have knocked down the tower. Please do enjoy your mystery dart. Anything after reaching 50 points is purely for peen.
- you may roll pieces individually (suggested for group play) or in batches of 5 (basically, a full round.)

Finn had been here before, and had failed this training course many times before. He could never seem to get very far, his impatience generally screwing him over in the end. But this time he was more determined than ever. He was going to sit at this table until he got it right. He would do it over and over and over again. After all, at the moment, he had nothing better to do with his free time. He was still feeling too...off, to deal with anybody. He settled himself in, and begun, removing and re-stacking the first five pieces without any real trouble. Status Round: (current round number) Pieces Taken: 5 Total Points: 5

This was where he usually ran into problems, and this time was to be no different, it seemed. Everything had started out so well, the first three pieces coming loose so easily, but than that fourth piece. That fourth piece. He should have just left it alone, but instead, he tried to carefully wiggle it free, finding no other alternative anywhere in the stack. Needless to say, his only reward for his efforts was a dart to the back of the neck. Status Round: (current round number) Pieces Taken: Total Points:

A few hours later, he was back, face scrubbed as clean as he could get it, and advil taken to stave off the killer headache he had awoken with. But at least he had gotten some sleep, right? That's right, he just needed to stay positive for a change. He also needed to just get this damn thing done with. Again, for what felt like the millionth time, he started out by removing all of the easiest pieces, which all slipped free without creating a problem. Status Round: 1 Pieces Taken: 5 Total Points: 5

Okay, this time was going a lot smoother than previous attempts. The next five pieces slid out about as easily as the first five had, and for once his tower was actually stacking up higher than it ever had before. He set down the final piece for this round, and let out the breath that he had been holding, shaking out his hand and getting slowly to his feet. It was so on now. Easy does it. Things were definitely getting more tricky now as his tower wobbled precariously from every small touch. He very carefully removed only the pieces that he knew were expendable to the actual structure of the tower, and placed each on top with a gentle precision that was necessary to get him through this. Slowly he was beginning to understand why this ridiculous game was used as a training course for those interested in entering in the medical field on Deus. Steady hands, steady movements. Finn placed the final piece and backed away, lacing his hands behind his head as he let out a whoosh of air. He was nearly finished. Just one more piece and he could finally claim the rights to having completed this challenge. Status Round: 3 Pieces Taken: 10 + 5 = 15 Total Points: 20 + 20 = 40

This final round was the one that really mattered. Up on the screen he could see his score, and to move a piece successfully now would give him the last points needed to have completed this training course. Of course, he knew if he got it now he would likely keep going just to see how much further he could get. Why not? It really couldn't hurt. Taking one last deep, cleansing breath, he studied the tower carefully, fingers making the most gentle of touches here and their, searching for the rectangle that would most easily come free. There was one that wiggled like a loose tooth ready to fall out, but it was in such a precarious position, he was loathe to move it. No, there must have been a better one somewhere..... He contemplated this for a time, concentrating, before finally making an attempt at moving one of the pieces that was in a more sturdy position in the tower, one that would no wreak havoc upon the entire structure should it be removed. He gently managed to wiggle this piece free, relief washing through him as he managed this task, before very gently setting it on the top. He'd done it. He'd done it. His score lit up on the screen. 50 points. If Finn had been the type to do so, he might have cried in joy. Status Round: 4 Pieces Taken: 26 Total Points: 40 + 10 = 50 YAY COMPLETION

Of course, he couldn't just leave it at that. He had to try and go higher. He should have just left it at that. No sooner did he so much as graze the tower with the tip of his finger, did it collapse in on itself. He winced, the sting of the dart a sharp pain that took him near the original puncture site at the back of his neck. But it was okay, as he collapsed to the ground in a crumpled up heap. It was okay because he had finally finished the damn thing. Status Round: 4 Pieces Taken: 27 Total Points: 50
