The air was warm, the unusally hot day bleeding to a warm night. Summer had yet to fully transition of fall, and Pollux was enjoying the warmth while he could. Come winder he doubted he's be running around as much- cold and him had a terrible relationship. Even if he was 'Frost'. The universe had a very terrible sense of humor in his opinion. Often on the few nights he was alright with the weather, and his confidence, he would follow the signals of chaotic energy to places he'd normally not go. This time, towards the fashion district, his personal place of everyday enjoyment. On one hand, he hoped they were not stealing anything designer because to him that was far more criminal than stealing starseeds. On the other hand he hoped they were as it would give him an 'excuse' to attack them.

The overbearing, crackling leak of chaos energy was never hard to find. Alkaid was aware that she rarely had any time to finish her plans before someone showed up to ask questions or make threats. It was getting tiring, but she supposed all power came with a price. Tonight was no different. She could feel the order signature wandering ever closer and, once it had gotten close enough, she could no longer deny that she was inevitably the target once again. "I'm afraid that I've run out of time, dear." Her lips dipped close to a woman she had pinned in a side alley, whispering gently against an earlobe that held an unnecessarily large diamond teardrop. The shattered fingers trailed across a high cheekbone, dipping down along her jawline so that she could draw the shape of her victim's chin. The brunette bit her lip and tilted her head back and to the side, trying in vain to pull away from the creature that had caught her on the way to the clubs. "Please, please," her voice was shaky, afraid, "take whatever you want. Take it." A wicked smile split the ascendant's lips and she laughed, gently. "How generous of you, dear." Her amused smile stretched wider, feral. The girl's eyes were closed against the horrible sight of such an other-worldly creature, but if she'd looked, she would have known that her words had been a terrible mistake. "I think I shall." Calmly, Alkaid reached up and pulled the large earrings away, holding them carefully in one hand before she tucked them into the constricting top of her uniform. The hand that she had used to press the girl's chest against the wall released a bit of pressure, but she was still stuck, held between Alkaid's unnatural body and the brick behind her. Yet it was enough to coax her into opening her eyes. She stared up into Alkaid's, hopeful. Had she only wanted the diamonds? "They're very beautiful," she whispered, encouraging, smiling. Tears had brimmed in those deep blue eyes, pouring over the lovely cheekbones in perfect little rivers. The ascendant reached up with her free hand now and brushed them away, causing the girl to smile nervously, filling her with one last glimmer of hope. Alkaid's smile mimicked the woman's, but the very hand that had just wiped away a tear rose, then plunged deep into the exposed chest, clenching the starseed and giving it a squeeze for emphasis. The girl drew in a ragged breath, choking around her horror as her eyes widened. "But not enough."

Ladies on ladies- not the oddest thing Pollux had ever seen, but when one's skin was cracked and looked like something from the abyss, he figured thats where the oddity came into play. Normal humans didn't have skin like that. Nor, did any senshi he knew of. He'd arrived just as the hand reached into the other's chest- again not so much odd unless you gave into the fact it was a senshi doing this, not a royal but rather a senshi with cracked skin and chaos energies. He watched as the woman became the corrupt's victim, and with a tiny click in his mind, he registered who might have been responsible. "Alkaid?" He asked, as if he had not just come across a murder taking place. "The senshi who became corrupt and enjoys her broken state? I suppose my brother did not in fact lie to me for once." She was striking in a way that left you terrified.

The girl gave a hopeful struggle when Pollux walked onto the scene, reaching out one hand in a silent plea for help. Alkaid sighed and clamped her fingers around the starseed to stop the wiggling. When she pulled it out, clutched tightly between her shattered fingers, the brunette crumpled in an ungraceful heap at her feet. One foot toed an arm away from her path before she stepped away, toy forgotten. "And you are his partner, I assume, if that extravaganza of bloody lieutenants was any indication." Her bright gaze flickered to him over the top of the starseed, then back to her prize just before she popped it into her mouth, swallowed whole. It fueled a bright backlight in the cracks of her flesh, pulsing vibrant orange before it settled back to the typical dim black fissures. With her meal consumed, her attention was back on Castor's less powerful brother. She took a step to the side as she examined him, head tilted to the side in a way that caused one set of braided dreads to fall over her shoulder. "It's beginning to be a little exhausting, dealing with this kind of response. I don't particularly like being treated like a zoo exhibit."

He should have tried harder to stop the eternal, but, he also valued his life. Pollux was a bit too selfish for the whole 'saving everyone bit'. He kept his distance. He could save someone else, it would do him no good to get dead now. "Brother." He affirmed, as there wasn't a reason to hide who he was anymore. The starseed consumed he resisted gagging. This was a senshi his brother feared and felt sorry over? To Pollux she looked a youma in a senshi body. "You're a walking anomaly. Of course you're going to be treated like a zoo exhibit." He took a step back. "Only without a cage to keep you in, unfortunately." He should fight, test her skills- but he also didn't like how simply unknown her powers were. It was a gamble. " Chilling storm." Felyn Enjoy ice layer on sum limbs and shards like yeah

"A brother?" She actually laughed then, a sweet, charming peal that fell from lips entirely unsuited to such a kind sound. Her gaze drifted from his hair, to his fuku, taking it all in now that she was looking for details and not just staring at a new enemy to entertain. Her gaze flickered back up to his with a sly smile in place. "That's quaint." She didn't bother trying to shield herself as she heard the first word of what was inevitably going to be a senshi attack. She would have applauded him for the surprise attack if she'd been able to, but as the ice spread across her limbs she found herself immobilized. For a moment. The ice began to thin almost as quickly as it spread, seeping into the cracks of her flesh as her energy hungry core sucked in the magic like a vacuum. There were bits and pieces of it left along her elbows and at the knees, but her mobility was restored quickly. The ascendant began to draw both arms to waist level, causing a plate of hardened flesh to be dislodged by a thick shard of ice wedged into her elbow. It made a loud 'pop', as if a bone had been snapped, and a fine black mist poured out of the open wound. The chaos energy around her spiked, leaking into the open air. She could already feel her body working to repair the break, but she didn't have time to waste waiting for that. She was in no danger of energy depletion with all that she had just consumed. Her bright eyes glanced from her injury, then back up to the senshi before her. That smile had never left her lips and now it spread wider, wicked in a way that made her seem mad. "My turn. Ascendant's barrage!" A glowing light burst over her open palms, hovering in the air. It stretched nearly from her waist to shoulders in height, with laps of energy that spread around it like solar flares. Without warning, one of the solar flares peeled away from the ball - roughly the size of a fist with a glimmer of trailing light. It was aimed right at his face - and half a dozen others were already following. iStoleYurVamps Alkaid summons a ball of light. This ball of light is much larger than her basic attack and hovers above her outstretched palms instead of supporting itself in midair. At will, Alkaid can fire guided light 'missiles' from the glowing ball at any target within her sight.
The missiles pack a power equivalent to a General's punch with up to two dozen missiles per attack. As long as Alkaid keeps her undivided attention upon her target, the missiles can't miss. However, if she breaks eye contact or the target hides behind something (ie: she can no longer see them) her attack is useless. Evasive and/or defensive Senshi attacks may also aid in avoiding the missiles. biggrin ENJOY, POLLUX

Quaint. Well, he guessed there were worse things. He'd anticipated that his attack would at least do something, that it would give him time to assess, to analize, but it was over as soon as it started. His ice was hardly thick, hardly heavy. It was a temporary solution to an aggressor, a small window of opportunity that he could give himself. Yet he'd miscalculated. He'd thought her as something human. Whatever she was, human was not it. His magic was consumed, the crack drinking in his power and he could sense the building dread in his gut. He'd not taken the warnings of the corrupt senshi as deeply as he should have, and he knew as she recovered, his window of opportunity had been lost the second he'd cast his magic. He could only brace for impact. Another mistake. The light had him shut his eyes, and then came the pain. Boxing and kickboxing hardly gave him any advantage towards a magical barrage, his arms only held up in attempts to protect his face as he lowered his center of gravity, as he hunched, attempting to cover his vitals. He reacted like he'd trained himself. Yet it was a pale defense. Each ball hurt and he could feel the impact in his muscle. Bruises, a few that would run deep. He had started at a disadvantage, now, he could know that disparity of power. And it ran deep. Huffing as the attack ended, he remained standing, arms up, the discoloration of skin already apparent. "So, thats why you're one he fears." He said to himself. "You're an actual threat."
