The daylight had finally vanished around the lake where Avior and his kids resided, and they now had begin their nightly routines. Bathing, brushing teeth, putting away toys.. Every child knew their duty and fulfilled it without much guidance. The youngest ones, the ones between three and four wandered around Avior's feet as he made his rounds, as they were the ones who slept closest to him, their rooms right beside his own.
When they were close and he was powered, he could feel them nearby. The little flutters of their hearts, each small breath that came and went as they dreamed soundly in this little world he had created for them. Those little feelings, and the knowledge that these children depended on him was what kept him going. To know that he was needed by them grounded him so well after Athene left him behind. All that he was seemed to be torn apart and shredded, and the darkness that he had felt when he was a child seemed to have come back full force, taunting him with whispers of how useless he was, of how no one ever needed someone who's walls were so easily shaken and broken down. But these children gave him something that Athene had crushed when he left. A purpose.
And now his little reasons for living were yawning, and seeing as his rounds were complete, he scooped them up, easily pulling them close against him as he went about to tuck them in. They were so well behaved despite all the Chaos that existed in this world. If all this were to happen five years ago, he didn't know how he would have survived. He was too weak and broken back then, but at this point there was no time to feel that way.
Most of the lights in his place were off now; the children were quiet now though every now and then there was a giggle or two. They knew at times there were visitors who came to pay Avior a visit at night, and sometimes they brought little gifts. Although Christmas was difficult to even imagine at times, it was a little surprise-like event that happened just like that. And maybe tonight would be one of those nights.
There was one last task Avior had to do before he was allowed to rest for the evening.. In a little plain vase he placed a few carnations, ones of a deep purple color, and he put the vase in the window sill near the front door. His own little signaling system to the White Moon Senshi that wished to come and see him or these kids. It was a safe night, and from what he had observed earlier, there were no makings of a Negaverse inspection this evening. That meant.. It was safe for them to come and visit. And those who were familiar knew the routine, of the door in the greenhouse that lead into a basement that lead to the kitchen of this place. A secret entryway for those who bathed themselves in the light of the world, rather than the darkness that had begun to engulf it.
Before he would turn to bed himself, he sat down in the kitchen, a warm cup of tea before him as he waited. As long as the light was on, people knew they were welcomed.. But he wasn't going to leave it on all night.

it was late, and Naos hoped he wasn't too late, and that when he arrived at his location he could at least go in. No matter how many years had passed since living on the streets, then the woods, he still hated it. He arrived at his location, a decent sized building with its own greenhouses. Hefting his cargo up, he checked the windows, making sure it was safe to continue. Seeing the flower on the window sill was the positive sign, Naos continued, quietly heading tot he familiar hidden entrance, making his way through the basement then the kitchen with only one spill (and maybe something to eat, he still wasn't very good at this hunting business). He continued to tread quietly even when he was safely inside, until he approached one of the only remaining lighted rooms in the home, the one with the strongest life signature. He knocked softly on the door, knowing his dear friend would know who was there.

The moment that he was approached, he knew who it was that came into his home. It was a familiar, warm light that emitted brightly from their being and almost made him feel warm and relaxed. Naos was such a beloved and sweet member of this household, even if he couldn't be there all the time due to the Negaverse and their rounds. Even so, Avior always sat down in the same room, and waited for him to approach, letting him raid the kitchen for the leftovers of the evening and clean up a bit before he presented himself infront of the Dark Mirror Prince. Not that too much preparation was needed; he could have came in stark naked and Avior would have still welcomed him with open arms, even if he were to be chastised for being presented in such a way if the children were present.
"You know you don't have to knock, Naos. You can tell it's just me, right?" Avior stood up, pulling the door open slowly as to not let the hinges creak too loudly. The children here knew of his nightly activities, but they were told not to come down unless needed. Why? Well, Avior knew of the risk if they recognized any of the senshi, even if they swore not to tell. But shortly enough he'd be heading into his own room where everything was safe and secure. Upon seeing Naos face to face, and giving him his warmest smile, he wrapped his arms around him, taking in that familiar scent. Aaah, how he missed it!
"It's been a bit of a while, sorry about that. It's been hectic around here. Some of the kids were sick, then a few new kids.. You know how that goes.. How have you been? I missed you.."

Naos recieved the hug warmly, this was his good, if only, friend left after all, who put his life on the line for these kids and anyone who might need shelter, for even a night, and who was arguably much more heroic than Naos felt some days. He detached himself from the hug, going towards a desk in the room and retrieving pen and paper, a bit too tired to sign out his thoughts. "Yeah, but i'm not ringing the bell either" he wrote, jokingly, in reference to his wings, which tended to make their own ringing sounds as of late, like a large bell, and at rather unfortunate times. "And besides," he continued "i'll keep knocking until the day i just walk in, at which point i'll probably be corrupted" well, even in writing that was one way to spur the mood. He made the gesture to cough, remembered even that he couldnt do and shrugged. He frowned, recalling Avior had mentioned new kids, and grabbed another sheet of paper. "I take it they were okay? No plants? Also, i hate to ask, but have you sensed senshi in them?" This paper he also handed to Avior, and Naos stretched, tired and ready to depower for the night.

A slight chuckle came from Avior as he watched Naos so readily go to his desk and get the pen and paper. You'd think that by this point he'd have learned to have things out and ready for his closest friend, but for some reason he never did. It just seemed like the right thing to do, not hold his hand in anything. If anything, he needed Naos to hold his hand..
He couldn't help but frown at the mention of corruption.. If he had wanted, Avior would have happily added Naos to his world of the Dark Mirror Court, so that he could safely come and go as he pleased, so that he actually COULD stay with him day in and day out instead of having to leave him behind. Naos would never do that.. Not when that meant he would lose all access to His planet.
Either way, Avior moved closer to Naos, watching him, gently putting a hand on his shoulder as he read the message.. He must have been so exhausted to not even sign this evening..
"Yeah... It's fine... No plants.. Some may have senshi in them; the youngest ones were the children of...Of Senshi who are lost now, but they are too young to actually exhibit any traits. Go on, power down. Then we both can go rest for the evening. Do you need anything else to eat? Or would you rather just sleep?"

Good, all of this seemed fine, and the fact he didn't have to try and recruit the children took a weight off his shoulders he wasn't even aware of. He wrote once more before sitting on the chair and powering down. "I'll warn you, I might not be much good of company for longer." Once the transition to his human, not as safe but safe here form finished, Naos, now Glen, slumped, seeming to pass out, until he raised his hands, and made a rather sloppy sign for 'Thank you, you should power down too. Then we'll sleep."

"Much of good company? What do you mean? Just tired?" Avior gracefully slipped from his powered side to just being Simple little Nischal, and it seemed that all power and intimidation he had before just vanished. The young man hidden beneath all of that just seemed exhausted, burdened by all of the duty he he had placed upon himself. It was almost as if the poor boy looked like he hadn't slept in days.
Still, he did not worry for his own health, only approaching his own exhausted friend and gently taking his hand into his own, giving the back of it a small kiss.
"I would rather sleep than chat anyday, as long as you were by my side.. So let's go rest. We've both have more than earned this.. Would it be alright to share my bed again?"

Glen nodded, watching Nischal power down. He signed, "Yeah, it's fine." Before taking the smaller mans hand into his own, smiling. He found this was one of the only times he could smile these days. With Nischal, safe and protected for both of them.

There was not much need for either of them to speak anything more. This night was like so many others, it was such a natural routine for them to go through. Sure, Glen didn't need his hand in order to get to his bedroom, but there was a nice, soft sort of security in knowing that he was finally back to be with him.
Nischal really, truly wished that Glen would just stay with him permanently. He could live as a helper in his orphanage.. But if he were to stay, then supplies would surely run low.. He was crucial in how he managed the place, bringing extra food and clothing when needed. For now he was content with Glen just coming around and staying the night.. There wasn't anything that brought him more comfort than having him by his side..
Quietly, he led the other up the stairs to his own bedroom which was still dimly lit by the lamp on the night stand. As much as didn't want to let go of his hand, he did, slowly beginning to change into his normal nightwear.
"If you need to shower, it's already prepared for you, towels and everything. And you know where your clothes are, so.. All that's left is rest."
