User ImageSenka crossed the grasslands in a ground-eating lope. The devastation that had struck Telk had been catastrophic. Very little of it remained inhabitable, and what little of that was certainly not untouched. She knew without trying that her packlands were deserted. Polum'ya was a proud pack, one capable of surviving even during the Untime, but they were not suicidal. There was no home for anyone in Telk. Not anymore.

North was the only option. North through the mountain pass and into lands thus far unexplored - even by kazkar past. It was an exciting opportunity, but one she would not indulge in overmuch. Not until she found her pack.

Of course, she would gather whatever information about these new lands that she could. It may prove invaluable in carving out a new life for themselves. But whatever information she gathered would be incidental, not a drawn-out affair. Her people needed their kazkar. Her place was with them. Even if she did not know all there was to know about the natives, she had no doubt that other packs from Telk had journeyed here. An understanding of them may prove just as valuable.

So, she moved with purpose, quite unlike the languid, leisurely wolf she had been while learning the intimate secrets of Telk's peoples.
