After finding a safe place to land where no one would have seen her flying, Averi made her way back to the orientation. Gently pushing through the doors, she walked down the hall with her head down and a sullen look on her face. Fear bubbled in the pit of her stomach at having to face Jordan again so soon. Nervously she fidgeted with her fingers. What if he didn't want to see her ever again? What if he was mad at her? She had run away so suddenly, he might have thought it was his fault. Averi sighed heavily, slowly bringing her head up and seeing the headmaster standing against a wall looking quite vexed about something. "Excuse me Mr. Mizuki, does something trouble you?" she asked softly, her voice gentle and caring. She was legitimately worried that something had happened to make him this way.

"Oh yes, that would be most unpleasant. I do so despise paper work myself," she replied with a scrunch of her nose in dissatisfaction. The idea of having to do such menial tasks bored her to death. She had watched so many movies about the average worker and it seemed like such a boring job. Averi was the type that liked freedom, and to be stuck like that horrified her. Even though she had never actually done any herself, she only imagined it to be something less than desirable.

Hearing her name from his lips caused a light blush to burn her face. She didn't realize he knew her name. Her hands came up to fiddle with the pendant handing around her neck nervously. Shyly she looked away, still getting used to human interactions. "But you are my superior, I consider it my problem if it bothers you so..." she mumbled, flickering her gaze to and from him. Her cheeks burned a little brighter as the only thing that came to her mind when asked if she needed something, was Jordan. "N-No, I...I am just nervous about all the people. I am still learning the 'big city' life," she put emphasis on big city, still trying to learn all the euphemisms humans used. She hoped that she was using them right.

"Oh I do believe it will!" she replied happily, a bright smile coming to form on her lips. If there was one thing Averi was good at, it was being happy. Even if she were sad or nervous, which she was, she could still find something to be happy about. "I have already met your counselors, the clones Jordan and Kyle. They are both very nice," she added, not even realizing she called them clones again. The word brother was so foreign to her when not used on the battlefield that it was hard to remember that that's what they were. They shared the same genes but weren't clones. This term brother meant they were family.

"Jordan has even offered to teach me the goings on of the city," she added with a little more cheer. Even though she had just been sad, even crying into her bed at home, suddenly she was cheering up; even though Kyouya had done nothing. Maybe just talking to someone was enough to help pull her out of her daze. Even the butterflies in her stomach were clearing. That is how they put it, butterflies in the stomach? A question suddenly came to her. "Mr. Mizuki, why are you standing here alone?"

Her face turned beat red. Was Jordan waiting for her? It was unlikely. Her heart began to race as she thought about the things he had already taught her. The feeling of his arms around her caused the blush to darken even further. He called that an embrace right? Feeling her face burning, she quickly covered it with her hands, trying not to look so unprofessional around her boss. "N-No...he...he is not," she squeaked out shyly. Images of him gently taking her hands and wrapping them around him caused her heart to skip a beat. His words saying that she meant a lot to him echoed in her mind. The way he looked when she told him she was engaged. Averi gently reached a hand out to the wall to brace herself, feeling faint. This was too much.

She had learned so much in one day and to top it off, Jordan was a confusing human. One minute he was happy talking with her and teaching her human interactions, the next he didn't want her touching him and seemed to shy away from her. "Jo-Jordan i-is confusing..." she managed to stumble out, feeling her chest become tight once again. She had just gotten over everything and now it all came crashing down on her with his simple question.

A hand rested on her shoulder and she quickly turned her indigo gaze up to him. Oh what was she supposed to do in this situation? Jordan hadn't yet taught her something like this. Lucky for her, he was quick to remove it. This day was turning into one heart pounder after the next! Blinking her big eyes as she gazed up at him, she nodded slowly. He was unusually kind for someone who ran an establishment as large as this. You would assume someone in power would be harsher; her father was. But Kyouya was no king. Bringing a thumb to her lips, she bit into it softly. Jordan was shy? He didn't seem that way to her. In fact he had been so open and forth coming. "Mr. Mizuki, if I may ask, do you have someone that means a lot to you?" she asked full of curiosity and not at all understand that such a question might be deemed inappropriate.

Averi felt a little sad for him. Even though she was still learning the meaning of the more intimate words, she understood the basics that she got from watching movies. Her lips turned down, frowning slightly until he added that he might in the future. At least he was able to look at the brighter side of the situation. "I have noticed that if one has someone the truly care for, they will make the time...But I understand your position," she said, her brow furrowing a little in thought. Jordan had said she meant a lot to him. Averi was still confused as to which context he meant by it. Soon after saying it, he had stumbled over his words and said they were just friends. Was that true? Were they just friends?

Quickly her head shot up to look at him, her whole body tensing at his question. Did she have someone that meant a lot to her? Her ear turned pink as she dropped her head, hands fidgeting once again with her necklace. Even though they were merciless people, her parents meant a lot to her, but she got the feeling that's not the way he meant. She wasn't even sure which way she had meant her previous words. "I do..." she replied timidly, nodding a little. There was no helping the fact that she did. He had been so kind to her. He had taught her human greetings and offered a counseling session and even offered to show her around town to go shopping. What was even better was that he said she could have one of his paintings. That meant something, right?

Indigo eyes flickered up to him briefly, just in time to catch the smile that formed on his lips. He was quite the looker when he smiled. His hand dropped to her head, patting her like a child. Her face scrunched together, wiggling her nose like a rabbit. She was no child! Well, not here she wasn't. Back home she was still considered one; if not prepubescent. Her people didn't consider someone an adult until they went through a special ritual of sacrifice. If you were going by the rules of the ritual, she was actually an adult because she had slain a family member. But there was a special way to do it and they had not been following the rules of the ritual when she committed her act.

Once his hand left her, she gave a simple, court nod. "Yes, he is indeed here," she looked towards the doors that led to the gym. Nerves bubbled in her stomach again. She was afraid he would magically appear before them the more they talked about the subject. "He...remains through those doors," she added, turning to once again face the red headed man before her. His red eyes and hair reminded her so much of her betrothed that it almost scared her. However, this man's kindness was nothing Roteth had. They were only similar in appearance.
