Name: Tsuno Krunch

Nickname: None

Age: 10

Birthday: June 7, 2005

Sign: Gemini

Gemstone: Alexanderite

Blood Type: O

Fav. Food: Chicken

Hated Food: Veggies

School: Knightside Elementary School

Hobbies:

Spelunking with Sis: Tsuno never really knew his parents, he doesn't know that he is adopted, or that his adopted parents are really his aunt and uncle. He just knows that his sister Kora hurts a lot and won't speak of why. He believes their parents know why, but they won't reveal it. To deal with her pain, Kora takes dangerous risks like Spelunking. Some is for fun and he knows she enjoys it at times, but most of the time, Kora is trying to escape from the pain. Tsuno, though only eight, now stubbornly refuses to be left behind, even it means they both get in trouble. He knows his presence stabilizes her, by forcing her to be safer, and it also helps her pain for him to be with her. It also helps some deep unknown pain of his own. And boy, it makes him feel like Batman! Or at least Robin.

Playing with Canines:Tsuno enjoys any type of Canine type creature especially young ones and ones from the Dingos species. He loves playing with them, running with them, all sorts of things. When Tsuno was three years old, a neighbor gave them a puppy from her dog's litter. Tsuno and the puppy became close - creepy close. Not anything magical or sci-fi; however their behaviors seemed to resemble each other. Tsuno's parents became very alarmed, and got rid of the puppy. To this day, there are no animals allowed in Tsuno's house.

Ancient Chinese Coins: Tsuno has this one memory. He doesn't know it is real or not, but it feels real. He was very small, and with Kora, who was also very small (about 4). Tsuno and Kora were with two adults that Tsuno does not currently recognize, but in the memory they meant a lot to him. They were talking excitedly about something, he doesn't know what, but a strange coin rolled off the table and into his toys, unbeknownst to the adults. He still has the coin to this day, and has discovered that it is an ancient Chinese Coin from the time of the first Chinese Emperor. Now he is starting his first coin collection - American Present Day Coins to start with - however, as soon as possible he wants to collect ancient Chinese Coins - perhaps one day he can track down the two adults in his memory.

Swimming for and Learning about Undersea Mythic Treasures: Tsuno loves learning about mythical treasures, especially those lost at sea and never found. He is an exceptional swimmer and every time he and his family go to the pool, he throws in all kinds of diving toys such as rings and sticks. He pretends that they are undersea treasures from myths and attempts to collect them all before he runs out of breath. His favorite are the Ancient Chinese treasures.

Virtues:

Listener: As far as the whole Talker Vs. Listener thing, Tsuno is more of a listener. He doesn't need to give advice, he'll just listen. Sometimes, just his presence, his very being there can calm another person. If he needs to talk he will, but usually he doesn't. He is very calm when he listens, sitting down with his attention on the person whom he is listening to. He can be deeply thoughtful of what the person is saying, and will oft carry the burden with them.

Chooses His Battles Wisely: Tsuno knows that whether as a mortal or Sailor Scout, there are three types of battles. There's the battles you can win as well as should fight. There's the battles you just can't win, and just shouldn't fight, because it will just make thing worse. Finally, there's the battles you have no possible hope of winning, but you must fight anyways. Sometimes, fighting these can make all the difference in the world.

Helping Whenever He Can: Tsuno is drawn to those that he feels need help, but not just any help. The help that is needed during a time of such deep personal crisis that it cracks the life path between good and evil, like his sister. His mission here is to give hope, to those who are losing their way, and help them find a way back. Sometimes all it requires is a listening ear, sometimes more.

Flaws:

Disobedience: Tsuno will at times, though he is only 8 years of age, be very disobedient and at times insubordiant. He often earns Suspensions or ISS's for this. However, Tsuno and the other students often see his behavior differently than the adults - he is obedient to his own heart and code - often trying to help others students deal with their issues better, even if the teachers feel it won't help and instruct him to leave it alone.

Gets himself in bad situations: Tsuno often gets himself into dangerous situations trying to help others. As an example - at eight years old he is probably one of the youngest spelunkers in the world - and guided only by the one he seeks to help, his sister who is about 14. He's also be been known to go into a burning building to save a teenager who was trapped by her own phobia, and dive into a raging river to save a five years' kitten - don't tell his parents.

His own pain: He has helped so many other kids deal with their various pain, but he can't deal with his own. He doesn't know where it comes from, or why it is there. He is in a lot of pain, but he can not tell anyone why. He is sure that Kora knows, but she can not tell him, and that makes her own pain worse. He knows his parents know, but they don't know that he is in pain over this, and so don't tell him. Will he ever heal? This keeps him from trusting many people who are close to him as well as having anger issues against them for not telling him what he feels they're not telling him.

Thank you for the help on attacks, research of Dingoes, and knowledge of Chibi Sailor Scouts goes to Silverah. I really knew nothing of Chibis when I started this.

Sailor Hawk

Hello, Sailor Hawk! I'm here to get Okul here in stamping condition.

The civ portion looks pretty good! The powered attacks do need a little tweaking though. First, the duration of attacks is supposed to increase over the stages. My suggestions are 20 seconds for basic, 25 seconds for Super, and 30 seconds for Eternal. On the note of that Eternal attack, could you specify what the claws are? Are they produced by magic? Okul can't literally sprout claws for the attack, so I just thought I'd double check. Also, you need to list the number of uses for each attack. I recommend 3 uses for Basic, 2 for Super, and 1 for Eternal.

One more thing- could you please make it a bit clearer that the etymology link is actually a link to your star information? Just in case.

That should do it! Please quote me when you have made the necessary changes.

Sailor Hawk

Hey, Sailor Hawk!

Thanks for your patience while I got to this! I think you have a really cute idea for a senshi, so I have only a few things I'd like to go over before I can drop a stamp!

Firstly, I had some questions about one of his hobbies. Playing with canines is a fine hobby in itself, but I think the backstory on this hobby might not quite fit into the roleplay environment. For example, zoos are usually very well protected to ensure that animals cannot get out of their enclosures, and while this might happen sometimes it might not be very realistic if multiple/all of the canine creatures got out of their enclosures and then began to play with him. Though in a zoo, these would still be wild animals, most of which would still display very predatory instincts. It would have been more likely that they would have been attacking each other, if not him as well. To ensure a certain level of realism in our roleplay environment, it might be necessary to tweak this backstory so that it is something that could have feasibly happened during his development. (For example, if instead of a bunch of wild canines escaping their zoo enclosure, maybe he had a run in with a gang of stray dogs in the neighborhood and they followed him around and tried to play with him but his parents decided to keep him away from dogs?)

For his flaws, I also had a question about 'His own pain'. How does Tsuno's pain manifest/how would others perceive this as a flaw? You include a lot of information about how he is in pain and how he likes to help others deal with pain, but before I can stamp this, I was wondering what about this makes it a flaw/what about this aspect of his personality would cause people to not want to hang out with him?

Also, I had a few questions/notes for his attacks!

When Okul makes clones of himself, do they just mimic his actions, or do they run around blindly/without much thought? He cannot create sentient clones of himself (sorry!), but it would be fine if they just ran around as a distraction or mimicked his actions. Additionally, what happens if one of these clones is attacked? Would they get up and start running around again? Do they have any mass (if you hit it, would it be like hitting a real character, or would the illusion just disappear?).

The duration for the attacks as well as the number of uses per battle sound fine, so I just have one more question about his eternal attack: Usually senshi are not permitted to create magical weapons and attack with them, so I want to double check the effects of his magical turquoise claw. Chibi senshi are not as strong as adult senshi, so their attacks have a greater chance of failing or missing. They also cannot do as much damage, so the most Okul should be able to do with this attack is bruise or cause some scratching. If you are all right with that, I am also all right with how the eternal attack is written (but I still have my questions about the civilian's hobbies and flaws and the corporeality of the clones!)

Please quote me if you have any questions, comments or make any changes and I will be back as soon as possible!

ok let's start with 'His own pain'. I just realized that I left a lot of his back story out of this. his sister, Jordan 'Kora' Krunch has been accepted as a Page though niether of them knows the other's secret identity as of yet. Also, with Kora being older, Kora remembers something Tsuno only remembers with his Heart - his own secret pain - their parents were killed when Tsuno was just an infant (and believe me, children know when bad happens even at that age - I was neglected as a baby- my heart still feels the pain) and they were adopted by their aunt and uncle, who he now knows as his Mom and Dad.

As for the flaw, here are some ideas; he may not truly trust anyone. He may have his own life path cracked between good and evil. He may have anger issues.

Sailor Hawk

That expansion on his flaw sounds good; if you add in information about how 'his pain' affects him and can be perceived as a flaw/negatively impact his relationships (so, the things like what you said—he doesn't trust others/might have anger issues) then I think that will help establish it as a flaw!

I also have one question about his sister; in the approved Page profile she is listed as being 14; in Tsuno's profile it looks like she is stated to be "11 or 12"; if she is going to be powered she will need to be at least 14, but I just wanted to ask if her age in this profile was a mistake (or if you just weren't planning on questing for her until she was 14!)

Ok Flaw is corrected.

Now, about the age problem. When I first started this, I came to a conflict with the ages. I wanted Kora to be a Page - so she had to be at least 14. Tsuno, I wanted to be young as possible. Then there was the thing with their parents. I wanted Tsuno and Kora to not be too far apart in age; however Kora had to be old enough to remember at least some of it, and Tsuno, would have only the pain - I was trying to solve the problem, when one day I suddenly I up and left Gaia for a while. Now I have returned, and didn't remember the problem til now. Hmm.

What if he is 10 and she is 14, would that solve the problem?

Yep! He could be ten and she could be fourteen! (and the flaw looks good!)

Okay, for the attacks. As a Chibi, I'm thinking the clones run around mindlessly with one condition; they are somewhat oriented on the enemy - perhaps the smell (dingoes being canines). As for the mass, I would like them to have just enough mass to land a couple of hits on the enemy, yet after one or two hits should disintergrate them.

Next the eternal attack. I got mixed up trying to describe the attack; it or rather they, are not turquiose. If you are describing a weapon as something that someone attacks with outside their body, then these are not weapons- well I guess you could call them natural weapons.. I was trying to say that Dingo Claws grow on his hands. I agree, they should only minorly scratch or bruise at most, or on the other end of the luck range, fail.

ok I worked out the next bit ^^^^

is that ok?

Sailor Hawk

Sorry, Hawk! I was busy juggling RL so I didn't mean to be absent. (Work takes up too much time!)

The clones could definitely run around mindlessly with the condition that they are oriented around the enemy. They might be programmed to run around and distract the enemy (with maybe an occasional attack if provoked) but they shouldn't be as strong as a real senshi (so their hits, should they make any, shouldn’t be able to do too much damage comparatively!) It is definitely fine for the to disintegrate after a hit or two.

For the eternal attack, a magical pair of claws could form for the attack, but they could not be real, turquoise claws. They could appear as such, but I just wanted to clarify! His hands should not morph into anything, but the magic from his attack could make it appear as though he had turquoise claws that resembled a Dingo's. If you want to edit that information into the official write up, it should help it get closer to a stamp!

smile That's quite alright. Please forgive my impatience.

Hmm, how's this: When Tsuno was three years old, a neighbor gave their family a puppy from her dog's litter. Tsuno and the puppy grew really close.. creepy close - nothing too magical or sci-fi - or horror-type - just really weird. Um like they kind of resembled each other as far as behavior went. Tsuno's parents got really alarmed, and got rid of the puppy, and from then, no animals were ever allowed in the home again. Yet to this day, Tsuno, loves canines.
