Moose: Waridi’upya wasn’t a very organized male. While his sister was already aiming to become Head Scout, and had a mate lined up before she had even hit adulthood he was stumbling through life like a blind cub. As the only son to a litter of five he had a lot to live up to. Sisters to watch over, mates to intimidate, a family legacy…all of which he had no idea what to do with.

He kicked a pebble infront of him as he leisurely strolled along a well-worn path near Pride rock. The males thick man kept him warm in the sunlight, which was both a blessing and a curse, he had come to realize. Peering down on the ground he saw movement. The cub in him reared to life, leading him to crouching, prowling along the path after a vague shape…Ah, a lizard! He stuck out his tongue and followed it up the side of a big rock….and pounced with a victorious shout.

nessiaing: Adri was moving slow, she hadn't really gotten use to living in this new pride and well frankly it just didn't feel like home yet. She knew it was the right place for her, she really couldnt handle living in the rogue lands any longer they just didn't feel safe. This pride was bustling and full of life just like her home had been.

Adri hoped things would get better. She assumed that maybe once she made more friends it would feel more like home, right now she was just hopelessly lonely. She had such a large family back home and now she wasn't even sure if any of them were alive. She had only just made it out of the pride after the hostile takeover she didn't know what came of any of the others.

Moose: Claws raked against the stone as he fumbled with the insect beneath his paws. The damn thing was so slippery he could barely keep a grasp on it, and when he thought he had it beat he opened his paws…only to discover that it had disappeared! With a groan he sat back, and chuffed. Some hunter he had turned out to be. If his mother knew about this she…might not be all that surprised, considering he was his father’s son, but she would still be disappointed.

Taking in his surroundings he saw a lioness walking on her own, which was odd, considering the familial atmosphere of the pride. It worried him. Without really thinking on whether or not she might actually want company, he hoped down from his perch and went to join her. “Hey, hey, miss? Do you mind if I walk with you?” He wasn’t a flatterer or a particularly good liar; just a simple guy, with simple motives.

nessiaing: Adri looked up when she heard someone calling out. Seeing the tan lion come her way she put a smile on her face. There was no way she was going to be rude, not when he was going out of his way to be nice to her. "Sure that would be nice." she said in a small and quiet voice. Adri had never really had a loud voice which was ironic considering the size of her family, a lot of the time you had to be loud to be heard but Adri never felt a need to talk that loudly.

"My name is Adri" she offered the male. She was happy to get to know someone else in the pride. Everyone here seemed very close to each other, it made her miss home a little but in a good way. Things in her home had been very much the same, everyone knew everyone and a lot of them were related. She was hoping given a little time this place would start to feel like home too, but first she had to feel like she fit in.

Moose: She was kind of cute, now that he saw her up close. That marking on her paw was certainly unique, and the way she spoke…He wasn’t used to a female actually being delicate and it took him off his game. It didn’t last long though, and he smiled his big, goofy grin. “Nice ta meet’cha Adri, my name is Waridi. Haven’t seen you around before, but this is a big pride. You wouldn’t happen to be new, though, would you?”

He was going to come off as an a**, he knew it, but there couldn’t be any other way to explain why she was walking alone other than she was a joining rogue.

nessiaing: Waridi actually managed to get a little giggle out of Adri, there was something about him his charism liften him up, in an odd way he reminded her of her dad. Her dad always had a goofy way about him that made others smile.

"Its nice to meet you too Waridi." She responded kindly. "And yes I am new... terribly new. What gave me away?" she was a little self concious that he had been able to tell so easily. She clearly didn't fit in her yet but it had only been a few days, she would learn the ways. If only she could get over her sadness first. She had to admit though she did find being around this particular lion uplifting.

Moose: “You just seem really lonely. I’ve never actually seem someone walking by themselves unless they were a Scout, and they seem to have this air of purpose about them. You just seem…lost.” He plodded along beside her, taking life one paw step at a time.

Waridi shook his head. “I’m sorry if I’m pushing buttons. Just thought you might like some company on a walk, is all.” If she didn’t want to talk about it to him that was fine. Lions came and left for a variety of reasons, so he didn’t need to know hers to understand his need to reach a paw out to her. “I don’t think you’ll be like that for long, though. If you can talk to me like I’m half-way civilized then you’ll do fine.” He grinned.

nessiaing: Adri couldn't fault him in telling the truth, she hadn't known how transparent she was in her emotions. She offered him a kind smile "You don't need to appologize. I do quite like your company." she felt a little guilty for having made him question that part.

"I came from a pride that was taken over by some very mean lioness, and leading up to the battle and during the battle I lost my family. I believe like me most if not all of them likely made it out of the pride, but I don't know where any of them are now." She spilled more or less her whole life story out in one breath. "Its just lonely to go from such a big loving family to knowing no one. But at least I found this pride, I feel like this could be my home now."

She turned her head slightly to gauge his reactions, she had just unloaded a lot on him.

Moose: “Jeez!” Waridi’s surprise was loud and shocking. His eyes popped out, and his upper lip curled as the bottom one hung agape. “That is…I can’t believe that something like that could happen, but it did, and you…I’m sorry, I can’t be making this any better.” He gulped and turned his head away to exhale. That was just crazy!

“…Hey, you’re onto something. You’ve still got your family with you in your heart and you’re in theirs, so it’s not like you’re really alone. And maybe someday you’ll be able to see them again. I’m not really sure if that helps, or not, but I just…I can’t imagine going through that kind of loss and still being able to go on.”

nessiaing: Adri smiled, his reaction was so strong that she almost let out a laugh. She must be able to tell her story well if he had such strong feelings towards it. It felt nice to have someone else worrying about how she was doing thought, she had been on her own so long that she had forgotten how that had felt.

"Stop appologizing." she told him, it was said in a scolding voice but she meant it as a joke. "You have done nothing wrong, in fact you have done a lot right. You made me feel better today Waridi." she gave him a kind smile, "and that is no easy feet."

"I am glad that I ran into you today, and I hope that I run into you again on many days. I think we might be able to be great friends." there was something about the male lion that made her feel more at home and at ease. She could see how some might have trouble around him because of his energy levels but she liked them. They were a good offset to her laid back ways. She would definitely be keeping her eyes open for this male in the future.
