It was a crisp, windy day when Riff found himself in the skate park. Like all of the other street rats he didn't wear a helmet as he sailed through half-pipes on his longboard. He glided over rails, performed ollys and every trick in his book as lazily as the last. There was a love of the activity, but not real motive behind it. He was simply there to blow off some steam before hitting the ol' grind once again.
Though, it was fun watching the newbies try to shred for the first time. The only thing they had managed to "grind" was their faces as they slapped the concrete. He sneered watching one cocky a** teenager bite it and rise up crying as loud as a toddler. Some punk you are.
Kicking off, he glided around the skatepark as easily as a bird through the air. His extra mouths were open, catching the breeze.

How skating was supposed to help her with her grace Kenna didn't know, but still she was here at the park with her roller blades in hand. A skate board had been an option, but the litleo felt more comfortable sticking to the blades she had just learned rather than the strange board. But as she moved around she noticed another poke-human who seemed perfectly happy using the board instead.
Jumping over a ramp Kenna skated closely enough that she could keep watching him, "Is it really that easy?" She called out after twisting around another obstacle. Her face was flushed though as she knew the guy must have been a pro at it compared to her version of rollerblading where she had just managed to learn how to jump obstacles rather than embrace them with her whole body.

Riff coasted with his hands in the pockets of his blazer. Though the adult looked like a bored teenager, he was really keeping a sharp eye out for the 'others'. Not that they would find him here, of all places.
"In time anything is." Riff smiled. This kid was better than some but she was still a greenhorn. He coasted into a stop right before kicking up his board near the half pipe. "Coming up?" His intentions were clear; she could follow up the stairs and drop in or flop around with the losers. "Stick with me and I'll show you the right stuff."

"You say that but I wonder." Replied Kenna with a pout. How many years would it take before she could board like that? Twenty? The litleo frowned. She wasn't that much of a slacker though! Surely she could master something like this easily!
Her determination only rose as she saw where he was going, "Can do." With that the girl started climbing up the stairs towards where Riley was, "I'll hold you to that." Gaze determined she moved along the top and stared down, "Don't I need a board for this?"

"Wondering is for those who aren't really meant to do anything at all. There is either the do, or the don't." Riff was pretty relaxed in his world views like that. If you had to sit around and look at schematics, books and ledgers just to figure something out then it didn't really matter. If it couldn't be learned by diving straight into it then it wasn't mean to be learned at all.
He took to the stairs, holding his board under his arm with his extra mouths open and snapping at any board hanging too low. When he reached the top of the half-pipe Riff was always amazed at how tall it was. He imagined some Poke'mon could just step to the top from the bottom. "Nah. You can do it on a bike, a board, or-" he motioned to her skates, "-those. If it's got wheels you can learn. Now watch."
Setting down his board Riff dropped into the frey. He sailed low over the ground and when he made it to the other side popped up for a 360 spin before dropping back down into the pipe. In no time at all he was back at her side. "What I want you do to is stay low and focus on just making it to the other side. Let you body guide you, and if it feels wrong lean back. Otherwise you'll fall on your face."

"And those who don't just miss out." Replied Kenna with a slight eye roll. She definitely was not going to chicken out of anything though. Her gaze did widen a bit as she noticed exactly how high up she was, but the girl just gritted her teeth. This guy was already paying attention and helping her so she was not going to ruin this.
Watching him made her heart jump. That looked so cool if not dangerous! As Riff came back Kenna nodded, "So just stay low?" She bent her knees and held out her arms for balance, "That good?"

Sabra Knight Look up problem on Google I says. End up on Gaia I says. Only check one thing I says.
He stepped back and nodded towards the coping. "Stay low until you get the hang of it. If your body is stretched out your more likely to loose your balance and fall. You have to learn to feel the peeks and pulls."
It was a process, and one she might get the hang of in time.

As Riff rearranged her limbs Kenna frowned, "So you want me to fail?" She scrunched her nose, "But alright, if I break something you better help me to get out of here." Her gaze flashed playfully before the stubborn girl moved her arms one more time. This was right...right?
So she needed to keep together? Kenna had plenty of practice with moving balance from all of the poke-contests that Sierra had entered her in while she was still a litleo. This situation was however a bit different...it was going to be strange jumping down like this. Still the girl was determined, "Alright then?" Flashing a grin towards Riff she nodded, "Should I just go for it now?"

Riff rolled his eyes and just stepped back. If she was going to fail it wouldn't be a matter of what he wanted; it would be up to her to make sure she stayed on solid footing. "If you break your neck I'll make sure they don't move you before they put your head in one of those foam blocks. Fair enough?" He wouldn't make any promises, though.
Riff grabbed his board, prepped it himself for another drop and nodded. "Just..go." And to demonstrate his point he fell in, gliding naturally until he came to a stop on the flat, near the edge, so he could be there to catch Kenna should she fall. He hoped he wouldn't, since he wasn't a big guy, but he would try.

Kenna just laughed at his response, "Alright if not I might have to haunt you. Would be pretty lame to go out this way after all." Her heart did clench in her just at the thought of falling splat against the concrete...they were high up. How did flying pokemon brave these heights? Even with wings the girl would be wary. Still though she was no coward!
"Fine, fine!" Yelling Kenna just decided to let go. Rolling down the ramp the litleo grinned at the rush of falling as she connected with the wooden frame. It wasn't a perfect spin but the girl did manage to make it before losing balance backwards towards Riff.
Still though it wasn't a major fall and so Kenna had to laugh before wobbling back up on her feet, "So...that wasn't so bad then." Right?

Riff placed his hands into his pockets and watched her roll. She had a lot of practice left in her, but at least she had the spunk to get it done. He couldn't say that about most kids that came here. When he saw her coming back towards him, Riff stepped up to catch her and offer the balance she needed. All three of his mouths grinned with sharp fangs. Once he had her upright, he kicked his board into a flip and caught it with his hand.
"Loosen up a little and you'll get it someday. Then you'll be ready to try the big stuff." He nodded over towards Death's Drop, even as a skater was sailing down it....and flying off it into the bushes nearby with a shriek. "Work up to it though, okay? You're a good kid, so don't snuff your flame out that quick." Riff reached up to ruffle what hair the girl seemed to have.
