Boom boom pow.
Mintaka grinned as she literally punched the lights out of a youma. When it disappeared to the shadows henceforth it came, she gave a relieved sigh. Or she would've if her knuckles weren't bruised and somewhat bleeding.
With no other cloth around, she used her white fuku skirt to hold over the knuckles. There had to be another way then punching the things into the darkness...but Chariklo was a hands on kind of girl and that was the only way that Mintaka had learned to fight.
Maybe she could ask Nysa or one of the other knights to show her how to use a weapon instead....

Vesuvius wasn't much help in the weapons department. He carried around a silly plastic sword that was meant to be, what, an oversized foil? An undersized dirk? He wasn't sure. He was more a happy go lucky brawler than a weapons master, though he was a competent fencer. Vesuvius was sort of a strange contradiction in the realm of Knights.
He'd felt the youma's signature and the young senshi as well and moved toward it instinctively. He was usually of some use, even if it was small.
He came to a stop as he came into the area and felt that he was not needed. The youma presence was gone which meant it was out of range or already dead. The page wasn't very daunted by this. He was usually too late for such things. He much preferred being the one to stumble across enemies rather than being the bloke that stumbled across people stumbling across youma.

The new order aura didn't escape her attention as she looked over her shoulder at the incoming source. It didn't feel like a senshi, nor did it feel particularly strong. Not that was a bad thing at being strong, it just tended that stronger order aligned characters had well...stronger ideals about everything. And mostly, the ones she had met kept to themselves.
"Not to sound like a creeper, but I can feel you there." She continued to nurse her injured hand, "If you don't mind coming out, I'm sure talking would be nice! If you were drawn here by the youma's energy, I'm sad to say that I dispatched it in a very unladylike manner." Fist punching...yeah she really needed to find something else to fight with.

At the invitation Vesuvius couldn't help but come out into the light, 6 foot even and all confidence. He was happy to talk to any young ladies that called out to him like that, especially those on his side of the fence. He didn't really get to talk to senshi much so this might be interesting. They usually felt too teenage girl for him. Underaged was a thing he was most careful about.
"Oh, I felt it, lass. I'm sorry I didn't get here sooner."
He had a bit of a complex when it came to his ideals. Pappy made sure he knew every woman was a gem and should be treasured as such. He noticed her knuckles and gently took her hand to examine it. He frowned, not liking to see things like this. He would never hit a girl himself and did not like thinking of girls needing to hit things. They should be protected.
"I sort of thought the thing with you lot was your magic."
He certainly didn't have any. He had a plastic toy as a talisman. He tore part of the sash around his waist and started binding her hand, unable to provide any pain relief.

She blinked at him, and then her head craned up pretty far. She was tall...for being asian american. Her 5'5 height was easily dwarfed by this knight's though, which made her squint just a little. Not that she didn't like taller people, but still...
"That's no problem!" She gave him a polite smile regardless, "It's part of my duties to at least handle a couple of youma's on patrols after all. If not, I'd be useless all together." It was meant as a joke, but it came out as a small squeak as he took her hand.
"Ah, yes sorry, I didn't realize that I was bleeding until after the fight." he hadn't asked about that, she corrected herself. "And I suppose some other senshi's have magic that take care of that? Mine is....not...terribly damaging." As in 0 damage, but hey she could get away from enemies with it! She heard the rip of his sash and stared down at the binding.
"oh you don't have to, there really is no need for you to ruin your attire for this little of a mess."

"It's better than this," he nudged his plastic rapier, "thing."
Truth to tell if it weren't for his years of bar room brawls he'd probably be useless out here as a knight though he certainly hoped that was not why he awakened. Vesuvius wanted to do good and help people more than he wanted fame or notoriety. Even his jokes about getting women with his costume were only half hearted. He wouldn't take advantage of anyone in a vulnerable situation. He couldn't. It was against his programming.
"Don't worry about it," he answered in terms of his costume. "It always seems to mend no matter how it's damaged."
Donovan was soft hearted when it came to women. Call it his weakness but very specific rules were drilled into his head about the opposite sex from the time he was young. Pappy made sure no grandchild of his would be what he called a "modern day moron." He didn't hit girls, not even ones that tried to hit him, and he opened doors and pulled out chairs and behaved as a gentleman. Which didn't mean he didn't believe women could fight or be strong, only that he would rather they not fight unless no one else was there to defend them.
Female Negaverse soldiers could definitely take advantage of that. Thank goodness he'd only met one.
"There's a better way to throw a punch to minimize the risk to yourself."

She studied the weapon of his before nodding to agree. It seemed that uh...Negaversers and knights had interesting choices for weapons. Some seemed dangerous, like Merlinites and some seemed just plain...useless.
"Ah yes..but.." She stumbled for words before accepting their fate with their costumes. He had a point anyways, no matter how she damaged it, it always came back new and clean.
She wanted to thank him a thousand times over, and offer some kind of trade but he didn't need her costume and she wasn't really...she didn't have anything to offer him.
"Th...thank you very much." She flushed just a bit, lapsing in silence....
His next comment made her eyes widen.
"I..Is there? I'm not very good at fighting, so I would love to learn more ways so that i stop hurting myself." If you could imagine someone sparkling up at you Vesuvius, Mintaka was doing it. Chariklo had taught her the basics but she never used her fighting unless she had too. Anything more she could learn to take less damage was worth learning.

"Of course there is."
Vesuvius smiled at her and held up his hands, showing her a proper stance. He was dazzled by how cute she was and chuckled though he was trying to take things seriously. He had never been "sparkled" at before and was not used to it, though he couldn't complain about it either.
"Here, keep your thumb tucked on the outside to avoid hurting it while trapped in your fist."
He'd known men that broke their thumbs by hitting hard and tucking it in. At the very least it hurt very badly.
He gave her a few basic pointers, standing behind her and gently guiding her fists slowly so she could feel the form of it. It wasn't anything professional, or fancy, but it would get the job done and it would help her avoid harm...he hoped.
