Torcha spent the night reading. All of it. At sun down, she had gone to her granny and asked if Granny had any books about Serenia wildlife. Granny had looked at her and asked why. Torcha explained that she wanted to learn about them and then see if she could tame and train some of the not so dangerous ones. A set of narrowed eyes and pursed lips brought out the real reason. "I'm tired of being treated like a child, Granny. I want you and the rest to see me as capable like Malnita. She proved herself by looking after the rest of us, but I can't do that cause I can't stand having to clean up after the others. so I have decided to pursue this method. I'll catch and tame creatures all by myself and take care of them afterwards. If I do this, then you and the rest of the elders might finally start taking me seriously. Chief Borshka laughed and told me that I could do so but only with the non-dangerous ones first. She says that after I proof myself by taming at least three safe creatures, she'll allow me to move on to the more dangerous ones. If I prove myself capable of taming dangerous beasts, then I'll have proved myself capable of protecting myself. I can leave the tribe and start on my dream then. That's what I want Granny, i want to start now, but you know I'll need Chief Borshka's help to complete it. This is the best way. I'll prove myself and learn new things at the same time." Her Granny aruged with her, wanting Torcha to stay and only concentrate on learning the tribe's magic. But Torcha would not be swayed and finally Granny gave in after Torcha told her that it was this way or she would run off and start exploring on her own. For an Oblivionite on Serenia, this would likely be fatal. So Granny gave in , and went and found her books of Serenia wildlife, giving them to Torcha until she had learned all she needed.
The morning came and Torcha was filled with the knowledge of creatures and their lives. Chief Borshka had said safe creatures...so an Uruu. There might be an easier and safer creature but this creature looked cute and fun. There was no reason to wait so, as soon as she had eaten breakfast, she left and headed off to where she remembered a meadow covered in flowers. There in the meadow she found lots of the little fluff balls munching on petals. Quietly walking over to one nearest to her she reached up and snagged a couple of branches with leaves. The book had mentioned that Uruu liked leaves and flowers. She laid the branches down in front of her and waited. she wanted one that wasn't afraid of her. It would make taming it that much easier. After a couple of hours, and several trips to find more leaves and other flowers, an Uruu wandered over to her and sniffed at her before settling down to eat the pile of offerings. When it had finished eating them, it trundled over to her and pawed at her knee. She smiled and picked it up. It didn't react. Perfect, she thought, this one is used to people, exactly what I wanted. And its so fluffy. She smiled and walked back to the camp, stopping every so often to feed the Uruu more food.

(sorry about the post count...I was typing to fast and kept forgetting to roll the dice... sweatdrop on to the rp part)
Torcha was so happy at having caught her first creature that she had forgotten that the Uruu's are tasty eating and the warriors loved eating them. So she walked into the camp and set up a medium size fenced in area to hold the fluffy uruu while she went out and got more food for it. She gathered a flowers and uprooted several leafy plants to replant near her uruu. After she had a huge pile she carried it back and placed it around the uruu, replanting the bushes and some of the flowering plants around the fenced in area where her uruu was, then she went and fetched one of the books that her granny had lent her. She stayed by the cage until the uruu went to sleep and read about taming creatures.
She would have read through the afternoon into the night except one of her uncles called her away to help with chores. She left after making sure that the uruu was fast asleep under one of the bushes and watering the other ones. While she was away disaster struck! Some of the warriors came back and noticed the uruu. “Look, an uruu was caught and brought back! that’ll do perfectly for a treat at dinner!” said one of them to another. None of them though about why an uruu was brought back, they were hungry. So Torch had left to do chores and when she came back, her pet was gone! She went frantic looking for it. Her uncle called her over for dinner finally and she came back, sad that her pet uruu had escaped. Her sadness lasted until she saw the cooked meat of a beast that looked familiar and a warrior playing with a very familiar fur coat. “You murderers!!” she yelled furiously. “I had just caught that Uruu to tame it as a pet and you killed it! You stupid over-grown thieving idiots!” and she stormed off, leaving her clan in shock at the dinner table.
What happened over dinner she didn’t know, but she refused to eat with the others. Instead she spent dinner time making 4 large signs to put around her fenced off area and moving the fence to an area where she set up a tiny little tent for herself. Next time, she thought, I’ll make sure that they won’t eat my pets. I’ll catch a bunch off uruu’s and not let them eat any! She refused to talk to her family when they came back and noticed her working on the signs that said TORCHA’S CREATURES. MINE! DON’T TOUCH! Instead she worked until it was dark then went to bed. She dropped into sleep between one plan and the next. The next morning she woke up, quickly did her chores before the adults were fully awake and headed off into to woods again. she spent the morning avoiding her clan members and making the fenced-in-area into a little miniature ecosystem so that the next uruu would be happy there. Her granny came and helped her with making sure the plants were fine. As the sun set, she left into the forest, aiming to catch another creature.
