...from the 10th anniversary of this place. Since the Gaia economy is totally destroyed, gold and item prizes are basically out. What if anything do you guys want to do this year?

Vikki - I've learned that, when it comes to cake, it's best to bake it yourself, as the promise of cake leads only to disappointment, disillusionment, and disintegration.
Plus, I think my necrons stole it all... hence the disintegrations. <<;;
Seriously, though, I've been contemplating doing something around here for a while, and the 10th anniversary might be the kick in the bud... (one quick look at her avatar later...) ... in the tail might give me the jolt I need to go through with it.

An all out apocalyptic death match free for all between four people. Playing as the Marines, Deamons, Tau and the Nyds. 10,000 points for 40k altogether and there can only be one! Winner of the cake that is

Maybe an organized anon gifting event?
People sign up 'till a specific date. Then, the participants get a PM with the one who they shall gift. Gifts have to be sent out until another specific day, mostly 5 days after the first deadline.
Profit?
Also, there might be a "the item you have to gift should be at least worth x (2 maybe) million gold in marketplace" clause.
Done that one in another guild and it was fun.

As much as I'd like for us all to meet up and play a giant Apoc game or something, at least a few of us would have to make a transatlantic flight for that to happen...
...I'd like to say instead of offering Gaia items and/or gold as prizes for the inevitable events, offer bits and models, but aside from me, I don't know how many people would be willing to chip in for prize support.

I'm all for an on-line gaming event via Steam. We got Space Marine, Dawn of War 2, Space Hulk and if you're really unlucky.. Storm of Vengeance.
Not for a secret santa event, so count me out on that something fierce. Though is mainly due to personal experiences from previous ones run here.

Yeah, unfortunately we haven't had much luck running model exchanges and the like. So if we go with a Steam event, what game do you all want, or better to run several?
