Aiden ( Because you like that name and that so happens to be his name ) : Exploring, only to stop and sit on a rather large rock; not realizing that it has started to moving.. When he sees the world start moving, he looks down and realizes he's on top of a large shelled creature and clings to it. "Sorry what ever you are- can you slow down and put me down? Pleaaaase!?" Which the animal only looks up at him.. extremely slowly and comes to a fault and retreats inside it's shell. The male's wings start to flutter just a tad enough to get him down then pokes at the hole from the shell. "Thank you~ um... what exactly ar-" Almost gets his nose chomped off and quickly jerks his head back.. "You almost took my nose off!" Gets his fur in a bunch then sighs. "... Guess its my fault though~ sorry.." As he pets the shell..

User ImageCarnal: Resting pleasantly in the shadowed outskirts of a pond, near the deeper water where the murkier creatures lurked, the place she had silently dubbed as 'home.' It was her ears that moved first, flicking in curiosity as she became aware of someone not too far from her, in the grass perhaps. Maybe near the stones or the shells? Her tail twitched in agitation as she lifted her head, becoming fully awake as she could hear the displeasure of someone just under her nose.
Standing and arching, Carnal peeked out from behind her bushes to eye the little orange and black Ulaya as he....pet the shell. Pet? Had he honestly just pet the thing? "He'll bite you again if you aren't careful." She said, and her voice carried on the wind. "Did you wander too far from home? They're not the most friendly creatures."

Aiden He was surely not accustomed to seeing rocks move nor bite. He definitely must have wondered way too far from home. His ears lowered and as soon as he heard a voice, he jumped and turned around looking for it's source. But jumped in range of the turtle yet again only to have it n** at his foot before it slowly turned and left. "....Whos there..?" He called. Thinking he'd get an answer right away.

His father was more sly and seductive than Aiden could ever be. "I kinda was exploring~ and I guess my feet did take me far to far off.." His voice sheepish and even a slight fear. "I didn't know rocks moved or bit! Is this the land of topsy tervy?" He was speaking now to himself, as he couldn't quite locate the girl til then did his eyes laid upon her...

How creepy she looked. "Ah.." He took a slight step back... Fear starting to build...

User ImageCarnal: Noticing the suddenly skittish demeanor of the little Ulaya, she smiled. It was a small smile, meant to calm and reassure that she was not dangerous, but as with most things Carnal did, it came off much more sinister and dark. The stitches in her fur stretched in an eerie, haunted house fashion that might have sent young kits skittering the other way, though her eyes were not nearly so cold. "Ah," She echoed him. " They don't normally, but the turtles are not rocks you see? They're bitey little brats so keep your distance. If you're going to ride on something I dont suggest one of them." Her voice, while not warm and inviting, was also not harsh and reprimanding. Detached might have been a good word, as she had become rather detached from the world. In fact, it had been many days, perhaps even weeks or months since she had spoken to another ulaya. Pausing to stare at him, she walked out calmly from behind her bush and sat, wondering if she could swindle this one into staying instead of running off in fright. "Carnal" She said, and this time the word was soft and almost warm. "Unlike them," She started, flicking her tail in the direction of the turtles. "I won't bite."

Aiden Lowering his body slightly.. and when she went to sit. So did he. Monkey see monkey do~ in his case, only to see if the alarm going off in the back of his head would stop working. "I see... so this place isn't ridded with myths and things of fears.....right?" He tried to chuckle and put a paw on the back of his head. Nervous of course. "M-my name is Aiden..Heh." Lowering his head.. "Carnal is a pretty name.. really pretty.." But the smile she gave off was less than pretty. It was creepy and his eyes went big. Where did he wonder off to exactly was beyond him. Beyond, meaning scary. Scary place. "Well you know- that's good you don't bite or anything because I don't bite neither~ and I would like to not be eaten today... Um.. Not saying that you would eat me or anything. I mean- er.. I didn't mean that. Why exactly are you in a place like this?" Not that she didn't fit, because she DEFINITELY fit the part of being here. Maybe even too well.

"Where I'm from, there is a lot of light.. and butterflies and gorgeous things..I can take you there sometime!? Not like saying that this isn't an awsome place~ little creepy but~ I mean..er.." Feeling like he was getting himself in to a much bigger hole, he simmered down and lowered his head. "Are there more of you around here.. "

User ImageCarnal: Watching him with curious, calculating eyes, Carnal moved forward a bit, lying down on her stomach to hunker in the high grass that surrounded the bank of her pond. The earth felt cool and welcoming against her fur, and the slight shadow it gave off was appealing to her eyes. She could never see well in the light, it was always blinding and blurring her vision. "You think i'm going to eat you?" She asked, utterly interested and not at all offended. "I'm not sure where I would start. I doubt you'd taste that good." The words were spoken as a matter of fact, though in retrospect she could have seen it as an insult, though it was never meant as one. She wasn't one of those undead that feasted on flesh. "If I was going to eat something it would probably be your soul." She mused, head tilting to the side in thought. She wasn't doing very well at not being terrifying.

"I'm sorry, you said your name was Aiden? That's a nice name. Do you heal others?" she asked suddenly, and then chose to explain herself. "Since my name is Carnal, I am always being told that I came from a dark carnival or that I feast on the carnal desires of others, that i'm some sort of siren or just a monster. Since your name has the term 'aid' in it, i thought it might run true." She smiled again, though the majority of it was hidden among the grass. "And I'm not really sure. I suppose I could be the manifestation of someones fear. I dont really remember how I got here, just that I woke up one day and settled in fairly comfortably." She took a moment to look around at the world she was in, like seeing it at that moment from that angle might unlock a giant secret she hadnt seen before. "You should stay though, if it is a world of fears and myths. Maybe you're here to overcome some of your own?"

Carnal gave a lazy yawn and flicked her tail, inching closer toward Aiden like a beast stalking its prey, though her intentions were far more innocent. "I havent seen anyone in a while." She answered honestly. "I didnt kill them though, if that's what you're thinking. They wandered here just like you and then wandered back off into the distance."

Aiden He was not a happy camper here. He missed the sun light that hit his body, his explosively happy family... But maybe she was right. Maybe he was here for a reason. Rolling the thought in his head for a few before she broke his silence. "Oh.. I helped a few others. I don't know if it means I aid.. but maybe.." If he hadn't tried it, maybe she was right! "When I get.. back home. Whenever I do. I guess I can give that a try." The alarm of fear started to slowly ease.. even if she were speaking of eating souls, that was pretty scary but if she wanted to- wouldn't she have eaten his by now?

But she hadn't. He lowered himself.. maybe this situation wasn't as crazy as it first seemed. "So.. you haven't been around.. others in a while. That's.. Kinda sad. Don't you feel lonely here?" He gave a chuckle. "I guess my thoughts raced ahead of me.. no one around and just you- could possibly have eaten but I mean.. " Sighing. "Just don't eat my soul ok? I think you already gave me a heart attack the first time you noticed me here." Giving her a soft smile. A glowing one.. as she came closer he gave her a paw. "I don't bite neither. In fact I'm trying to go vegan!" Hopefully she could take a joke..

User ImageCarnal: Eyeing him curiously, she soon broke out into a grin that could have put that of a Cheshire cat’s to shame. A soft laughter filled the air, like a hollow tinker, and Carnal shook her head at his antics. “Vegan? You’re a curious one.” She took the paw and gave it a gentle shake, letting the grin creep up into her eyes as she pulled herself from the shelter of the high grass. “I will not eat your soul, of that I promise.” She stated, and her amusement leaked its way into her voice. “Though now I find myself wondering what it might taste like. I’m partial to sweeter tastes, like sugars and candies, and something tells me your soul wouldn’t be sour or bitter.” She took a second to ponder her thoughts and let her tail flick about in the wind. “No, I’m sure yours would be sweet, mine on the other hand…” she trailed off with a shake of her head and looked back into his eyes, unflinching and not at all cautious. The eyes of a predator, rather than the prey, they way they had always been.

She was a confident creature, her demeanor and poise always holding significance and her movements as sure as the day was long. It was something that had kept her going, kept her alive in a sea of uncertainties and dangers. Of course she had her moments, when she would let her mind wander back to her first instance in her current plane of existence, wondering what had come before hand. Had her memories been sealed off? Had she merely lost them? Perhaps there was nothing before that time at all, and she simply was. There were too many unanswered questions, too many lingering issues to deal with. For now she was stuck, perhaps even trapped, in this desolate land. It didn’t settle well in her heart, nor her mind, but there was little she could do about it at the moment. It was always the lonesome travelers that made her long for something more, and maybe one day, it would be the lonesome travelers that helped her escape.

Carnal sat down once more, her flicking tail finally coming to rest as she glanced at him. “Who have you helped?” She asked, with honest interest. She adored hearing the tales of the travelers, and it might have just been her way of living vicariously through them, but listening to their woes and sorrows, as well as their acts of heroism and triumph always warmed her heart, or at least the dark hole where her heart should have resided. “I do get lonely sometimes, but that’s only when I’m around someone else. Er,” She paused, her paws moving in a shuffle as she tried to unscramble her thoughts. “I mean, being around others has always made me a little happier than I usually am, and it also makes me think of all the time I’ve spent by myself when I haven’t had anyone around, which makes me feel almost sad. I guess lonely is the right word. But when I’m alone I don’t usually think about it. If that makes sense dear?” Her claw dug at a root between them, the flower it belonged to swaying with each tug and move she made. The petals had begun to wither and fall sometime ago, meaning it didn’t have much longer before it fell anyway. She ripped the entire plant up and tossed it to the side, over into her pond, where it floated among the lilies. The lilies, with their unusually dark petals, scatters around the dying plant created an illusion of mourning for their lost kin, and Carnal smiled softly at the little display. “It’s not that I’m always lonely, you see. Only when I speculate and think too much do I become that way. So why don’t you help me not think? Tell me about the wonders of your life, and perhaps it will do us both a favor. You may unlock the reasoning to your being here, or a key for later, when you are trying to return home.”
