A series of large opulent rooms filled with every luxury Kael could desire.
The main living room houses a pile of cushions in the center instead of traditional seating for reasons Kael refuses to reveal. His desk sits to one side, a large table with food and drink on the other side of the room, and a large fireplace in the center.
The bedroom is separated from the living room by heavy silk curtains. Inside there is a large curtained bed where he and his wife Gypsy Blade can sleep in peace, away from prying eyes.
The bathroom branches off from the living room but is connected to the bedroom by another doorway. Inside there is a large tub set into the floor, hot water constantly circulated through.
Kael's hooded and robed servants are constantly seen entering and leaving the rooms with packages and food.

When they'd first arrived, Gypsy had stood out of the way while Kael's servants unpacked everything and got the rooms set up. Then he'd offered her another drink, bloodwine this time. She hadn't questioned it, she simply drank it.
She woke the next evening to find herself completely alone. Kael was gone. All of his servants were gone.
And she was wearing the usual golden collar of a Re slave as well as the ruby necklace he'd given her.
She wasn't sure what to think of it or what to do. She couldn't leave, the slave collar blocked her demonic abilities so she couldn't even search for him. She guessed that the ruby necklace still marked her as his wife, but he'd simply left without a word.
She wound up sitting in the middle of the huge bed with her arms around her legs, vaguely wondering what was going to happen to her now...

A few hours later, she'd gotten herself up and put on the outfit someone had laid out for her at the foot of the bed: leather corset, short-shorts, knee boots, and gloves. There was a cloak there as well.
Once dressed, she moved around the rooms looking for a note or something to tell her where Kael had gone but found nothing. Well, she found something, just not what she was expecting.
Everything of Kael's was gone. There were a few clothes in the dresser for her, but that was about it. Even her sword was gone.
As she finally stood in the living room wondering what was going on, two guards appeared in the doorway, one of them holding a chain leash. She stared at them blankly for a moment, then lowered her head and went to collect the cloak.
When she returned to them with the cloak over her shoulders, she looked back at the room as they clipped the leash to her slave collar. Then they lead her from the room, apparently to take her to the pillow room for lack of anything else to do with her for the moment.

Jaeger Bluderriech Jaeger appeared out of the shadows beyond Kael's door with Gypsy at his side. He kept his hands on the handles of his short sword and bullwhip. Although he was one of the darker beings inhabiting the world, the Reaper held little respect for Demons and would rather reap their souls for Pandora.
Waiting for Gypsy to lead the way, Jeager looked around the area with suspicion. He didn't like being here, but he had his orders and his pride. He would escort Gypsy, oversee the negotiations and most likely kill this Kael demon, reaping his soul in the process.

The Demon was behind his desk, with Gypsy's contract laid out before him.
Steepled fingers were held before him as Kael rested his elbows of the granite desk. He had plans to start and making Gypsy his forever was only the beginning.

Gypsy allowed the shadows to fully fade from them both until she was sure that they were alone. She finally stepped towards the door but paused there as she considered the situation then took a step back and gestured for Jaeger to take the lead. "He's probably reviewing the contract. As guardian, you get to talk to him..." she said softly, finding that stepping back into the traditions she knew wasn't all that hard for her to do. But she did put one hand on his shoulder, briefly but strongly, "He cannot know how you feel about Demons, Jaeger. If he does, you lose everything. And so do I," she pointed out for his benefit, knowing he had to be at the top of his game for this. She shifted back behind him, both to be in a following role and to watch his back...

Deviant Cannon Jaeger Bluderriech Nodding, Jaeger knocked on the door. Before a second had passed, the Reaper opened the door and strode in, Gypsy on his heels. Upon entering the main room, he saw a bare chested man with dark hair and tattoos sitting behind a large granite desk with a sheep-skin scroll laid out before him.
"I assume you are The Demon of Contracts, Kael. I am Jaeger Bluderreich, First General to Lord Shade and First Commander of The Reapers. I have come as Gypsy Blade's Guardian and overseer of Negotiations for Gypsy's Contract." Jaeger came to a halt directly in front of Kael's desk and crossed his arms. The General kept his face stern and solemn as he introduced himself and waited for the Demon's reply.

This was not the cloaked Reaper who he had met at the gateway of the Re's compound. He claimed to be the First General of the Reapers, whatever that meant. All of the knowledge about the fabled Reapers that had been uncovered were nothing but ghost stories and fables.
"Well, well, well, another famed Reaper. What, Grandfather Shade to busy reaping souls to come himself? So he sends a man who looks like a German Fabio to negotiate for ownership of my wife? Tsk, tsk..." Kael spoke in a highly sarcastic tone, meaning to invoke some sort of reaction from the both of them. After he spoke, the Demon Lord gave a sadistic smirk and waited to see who would react first.

Gypsy gave a shrug of one shoulder over Kael's reaction then gave him her own smirk as she dropped into one of the chairs and reclined back, "Tradition, Kael... My father was an idiot and we both know it. My grandfather isn't one. Tradition dictates that all negotiations are done by a guardian, the final decisions rest with the oldest male living relative. Jaeger will do the negotiations, Shade will make the final decision. I'd suggest you show at least a little respect considering what's at stake here..." she said softly, knowing she'd gained the upper hand by going with tradition. "Jaeger, as guardian, acts as negotiator, chaperone, champion, and go-between for you and Shade. I will, of course, be staying with Morrigan since I've been hired as her bodyguard. My grandfather approves the position, by the way, so it's not something you can protest. But from here on out, this will be between you two. I've already made my wishes clear. My presence here right now is only a formality, as we both know," she added, knowing she had the upper hand by going with tradition. It was something she wouldn't have ordinarily done. She'd hated the traditions that had landed her in her marriage in the first place. But right now, they were going to help her out just that much more. She only hoped this would work out for the best in the end...

Jaeger Bluderriech Jaeger raised an eyebrow at Kael's words. Though every fiber of his being screamed at his to dash the man's face with his bullwhip, the Reaper maintained his calm and flashed a glance at Gypsy as she spoke. Nodding his approval of her words, the General looked back to the Demon.
"As Gypsy said, I will negotiate the terms and you agree to them. Lord Shade does not want his Granddaughter to be your wife, unless she wishes to be so. In order for that to happen, you must first prove to Gypsy that you are worth the time courting her would take. Then you must court her, prove your worth as a man, and nothing more than a man." He paused letting his first words sink in. He watched as Kael's face turned to a mask, hiding all emotion. The Demon, however, was growing in anger beneath his carefully crafted guise. He couldn't believe that the Reaper was speaking so proudly and directly, leaving little room for bargaining so far.
"If Gypsy accepts your courtship and finds you worthy to propose, you will propose as any man would, on your knees, professing true love and obedience to her. In proposing this way, the contract will be revised to allow Gypsy ownership of half your assets, including the training base you keep hidden and protected. You will also offer a dowry of one hundred children born from those you hold in thrall with your current contracts. These children will be protected and raised by Lord Shade, myself and the other Generals." Jaeger stopped, allowing Kael to speak if he wished to. The Reaper General had thought about what he'd offer in negotiating, and decided that the easiest way to get the results Kedar wanted would be leaving no room for the Demon to weasle his way out of it. It would most likely lead to a fight as well, but the General had to be careful about picking the fight and making it in his terms.
Kael leaned back in his chair and listened to this Reaper. He kept his face a mask of indifference, save for the slightest of twitches at the right corner of his mouth. Gypsy would know this twitch, for she had seen it before, just as he had exploded in anger upon a less powerful demon. He hated being forced into a corner, especially with one of his own contracts that had been signed over a century ago.
"Of course, Gypsy's father was a greedy moron, a foul detestable demon of such low station that the only way he would elevate his power was through one of my contracts! It was a steal, he offered his only daughter up on a silver platter for trinkets and jewels! Where was her so called grandfather? He was as good as dead!" His voice boomed, letting a portion of his anger out. He couldn't believe that he'd been laughing about renegotiating this contract, thinking that he'd have the upper hand in the whole deal. Turning a venomous eye to Gypsy, he knew instantly how he'd been cowed like this. That wench, who he should never had left behind when he left, had gone to the Reapers and let them know everything he had told her when he'd been in the haze of lust when he had found her in the Slave tent at the temporary base. Standing he remained silent for a moment, glaring between Jaeger and Gypsy.

Gypsy waited for the explosion then was a bit disappointed when it happened, until she realized that he hadn't fully blown up yet. That look at her told her that he was blaming her for the problem. She got to her feet and shook her head at Kael, "You told me that you wanted me to be your wife in truth. Then you left me without a word or even a note. You left me here with no defenses to wind up in the pleasure room where I was savagely beaten and raped. Only someone stepping in stopped it from happening twice. Then I was freed and now have a position doing what I'm good at. You abandoned me, Kael, after I said we'd give it a shot. So don't blame me for where we are now. What happens from here will be your choice," she told him firmly but still in her soft musical voice. She looked at Jaeger then and gave him a nod of respect, "I need to go check on Morrigan. So I'll leave this to you. I'll be over there in her rooms if you need to talk to me," she said then headed for the door. She knew both men would be watching her and reached back to stroke the handle of her sword in an effort to warn Jaeger to be on his guard. That look from Kael told her what she needed to know, as did his words about her. She was nothing but property, a good deal, something he owned. She had to wonder if he'd ever loved her at all or if it had all been a good line... She needed to leave long enough to take a meal to Morrigan along with another test for the girl. But she found herself hesitating at the door, knowing she needed to leave but wondering if she would miss something important. Would she actually find out that she did mean something to Kael? Or would she find out that she was truly nothing more than another acquisition to him? She had no idea and she was actually afraid to find out...

Jaeger Bluderriech Kael fumed as she spoke, what remained of his indifferent mask falling to pieces. When Gypsy turned to leave, he watched her go, but caught her warning to the Reaper. That was when he snapped.
"You aren't going anywhere! You are mine!" He yelled furiously before reaching up and conjuring a Hellfire whip. The flaming tendril sped towards the woman's back, intending to wound her with searing heat. Then it collided with a crucifix-scarred chest.
The Hellfire left a sweltering brand diagonally through the crucifix on Jaeger's chest. The Reaper grabbed the burning weapon before it's wielder could draw back for another strike. The look on his face was as death, his eyes burning into Kael's.
"Gypsy, attend to Fraulein Morrigan. I will finish the Negotiations with your Late husband and meet you presently." Jaeger's voice had changed, taking on a lethal tone that the young women would never have expected from the jolly German. The shadows of the room flocked to the Reaper and adorned him in a hooded cloak of darkness.
Kael stepped back, releasing his grasp of Hellfire and grabbing for his sheathed sword of segmented bone. As his hand closed on the leather grip, the Demon Lord heard the whistle-crack of a bullwhip and felt tight coils of leather wrap round his throat. Jerked back, the bone blade was dragged back with Kael and left his grip as he was pulled backwards over his desk.
"You are scum, Kael Kinrath! Your contract to possess, to own, to enslave the granddaughter of my lord, my oldest friend and my own personal savior is more important than finding something worth living for! You did not even attempt to bargain, or court her, make her believe you were worthy of her! You, like all pureblooded Demons, are a greedy, sinful, deplorable and damned creature! And I will put you out of this world's misery!" Jaeger roared as he pounced forward, drawing his short sword and withdrawing his whip from Kael's throat.
As soon as he was free of the whip, Kael rolled off of the desk and snatched up the sword he'd dropped. The segmented blade whipped from it's sheath just in time to block a strike from the German Reaper's blade. From this position, the two broke apart and clashed for several moments with their swords. Jaeger batted the demon's two handed strikes easily, deflecting them to either side as he danced in a circle around Kael.
Gypsy had gone before her soon-to-be-late husband reached for his blade, but Jaeger felt her presence returning. He had been flitting about the room, leading the enraged Demon on. Kael had begun to weaken, realizing the Reaper was toying with him and that the fight would soon end. The Demon Lord also noticed that Gypsy was returning and fended off as many strikes from the General as he could, taking several small, but deep, cuts as a price. As soon as Gypsy would open the door, the Demon Lord of Contracts would turn away from Jaeger and lunge forward in an attempt to skewer the hybrid woman.
Whistle-crack went the forgotten bullwhip in Jaeger's off hand. The tightly bound leather coils snapped around Kael's throat and violently ripped him backwards at an odd angle. As Gypsy would watch, the Demon would fall backwards and the point of a runed short sword would burst from his chest where his black heart should be. Jaeger stood behind Kael, gripping the whip wrapped round the Demon's neck.
Dropping the handle of the Bullwhip, Jaeger's offhand reached behind his back and produced his small sickle-scythe. With a few final words, the Reaper General brought down the thin bladed weapon, neatly severing the Demon Lord of Contracts' head from his shoulders between two coils of the bullwhip.
"With this act, your soul is absorbed into my Dark Goddess, Pandora, and your power flows into mine own soul! Your contracts are now mine! All of the property you own, belong now to me! Kael Kinrath, you die so that others may know peace and freedom!" Jaeger's words as he severed Kael's head were soaked with power and the instant his life ended, Gypsy would feel the draw of the contract her father had forced her to sign switch from the deposed Demon to the Reaper standing before her over the body of her late husband.
Jaeger's eyes faded from black to their natural ice blue as he looked up to Gypsy. In his eyes, she might see a hint of what she meant to the German Reaper now that he had dispatched the Demon who threatened her freedom.

Gypsy returned just in time to see Jaeger kill Kael and take his soul. She stood frozen for a long moment then she felt the full shock of the contract being transferred over to Jaeger, drawing her eyes to his in an instant. But her crimson eyes were wide over it from shock. In that moment, her mind registered that he now owned her just as Kael had. The contract now made her the wife of the German Reaper. She remembered that moment when Jaeger had kept Kael from attacking her and now saw the look in his eyes that said he was feeling... something... for her. But she'd been fooled by that look before and had no idea what to do with it right now. That meant that she was concentrating on her new status now. She was now, technically, married to Jaeger. And she'd known him for less than a day. But in an instant, she pulled back from her emotions completely and looked down at Kael's body, "You'll want to remove your weapons. I'll take care of the body and see you back at Shade's place in a bit," she said softly, her voice carrying no emotion. She'd let him tell Shade about her new marital status and figure out what to do about it. For now, she'd take care of the mess, see to Morrigan, then head over and find out what Shade had decided. That sounded like a plan. That and not thinking too much. Not thinking or feeling sounded really good right now.

Jaeger Bluderriech Jaeger felt Gypsy's emotions before she put them on lock down. He listened to her and moved to the desk after collecting his weapons.
"Gypsy, don't go just yet. I want you to see this before we go back to Shade." Jaeger's voice was soft, carrying none of the lethal intent he'd displayed during the fight. As she watched, the Reaper picked up the contract that Kael had left on the desk, Gypsy's contract. Holding it up for her to see, the Reaper General called upon the shadows and the lambskin erupted in black flames.
As the last ashes fell to the granite desk, Jaeger moved to stand before Gypsy. He took one of her hands in both of his, while looking into her eyes. She would feel nothing of the pull the contract had forced on her to the Reaper or the deceased Demon.
"Gypsy, you are free to pursue any interest and goal you might have. You are no longer bound by any contract other than those of your own making. I look forward to becoming your friend, and if you ever need anything, and I mean anything, I will come at a moment's notice." He held her hand and knelt before the enchantingly independent woman. The German Reaper's words were truth and he hoped that Gypsy would see that he meant what he was saying.

Gypsy triggered the ShadowFlames with a touch of thought, instantly consuming the body of her former husband. It was so different from the dark flames Jaeger used and a mark of her mixed blood. She didn't turn away until the body was ash. She was about to take care of every thing else when Jaeger surprised her yet again. The sensation was a bit delayed this time but she still managed to feel it. Unfortunately, it was probably not what the Reaper was expecting. It felt like something was tearing through her body, drawing a shocked gasp from her as she dropped to her knees and doubled down over herself, gasping through the pain. She didn't make a sound otherwise for the next few moments that felt like an eternity to her. But after it was all over, she found that she could only sit there and shake as her body finished reacting to the pain of a century-long contract being severed. The shocking thing for Jaeger, though, was probably the fact that she didn't make any other sound even though the pain was bad enough for anyone else to wind up screaming from it.

Jaeger Bluderriech Jaeger dropped with Gypsy, keeping his hands near her to keep her from being hurt. His face became a mess of fear and worry. What was wrong, what had Jaeger done?
"Gypsy! What's wrong? What can I do?" Jaeger didn't know what to do. He couldn't know that the contract being severed would have this affect on her. The Reaper General watched the pain of the contract rip through her, unable to help her.

And then it was over, just as suddenly as it started, leaving her panting as it sank in for her. She could actually feel lighter, feel as if something had been taken away. Now that it was gone, she could feel the contract had been as much of a tracking device as a binding on her soul. The worry and fear in Jaeger's voice finally seeped into her and she reached a hand up slowly to cup his cheek before she finished rising back up to his level, still panting a bit but giving him a small smile. "I'm fine, Jaeger... Nothing in life comes without cost... I can actually feel the freedom of the contract being gone... My cost for signing it was a bit of pain. That's just the way things in life work," she said softly, needing him to calm down. She tried to push to her feet but wound up dropping back down on her knees with a sharp inhale of breath, catching herself from fully falling with her hands, "Crap that hurts... He'd better be glad he's dead..." she groused a bit under her breath, clearly disliking the pain and weakness she was experiencing. But it was just something she was going to have to deal with for the moment. Of course, being low on feeds wasn't helping her out much.
