This is where the general population will get their meals. There's plenty of seating and one might find themselves sitting with slaves, guards, and other types since there is no designated seating.

Enjoy your meal!

Gypsy lead Morrigan into the dining area and looked around briefly before heading over to the serving line with her new boss. They got their food and headed for an empty table. She paid no attention to the fact that everyone was watching her.

She'd become very well-known when she'd worked as a mercenary, earning her reputation the hard way. But she had earned it. And her new position as Morrigan's bodyguard had already made the rounds of the guards and slaves, ensuring that no one would be messing with her new boss for fear of dying in the attempt.

While Morrigan did want to know more about Gypsy, they stayed silent during the meal then left just as silently, giving no one any idea what to make of the duo. But everyone did get a good look at Gypsy in her fighting leathers and the sword at her back, set for a downward draw and worn comfortably. The sheaths rose vine markings did make them wonder, though, at what it meant to the unique hybrid...

Kharsis

The Hunter moved into the kitchen and grabbed a trencher of hard bread and filled it with a thick meaty stew. Striding over to a table near the back, he vaguely noticed everyone in the room moving away from where he'd chosen to sit. Such actions never failed to bring a small smirk to the outcast demon's face. Taking his seat, Kharsis began eating slowly and felt a presence moving towards him from elsewhere in the camp and emitted another small grin.

Gypsy moved into the dining area and simply walked over to the meal line. She selected items for Morrigan to eat then watched it get packaged and sealed then sent it to be delivered to her new bosses room. That done, she selected a few items for herself, mostly fruit and a bloody steak, and turned to look for a table.

She found one that was mostly empty, only one occupant, and made straight for it. She didn't care that he was what he was, she just wanted to sit and eat. At least he'd be better company than any of the other idiots that avoided her as much they did him.

She simply sat down across from him and started eating, only pausing when a slave came through with a pitcher of beer so she could get a glass of it.

Kharsis

Kharsis silently noted Gypsy sitting across from him as he finished the stew in the trencher. He began tearing the bread of the trencher apart as he stared surrepticiously at the woman. His soulless eyes unnerved most, but with her reputation the Hunter doubted they would have the same effect on her.

"How is Lady Morrigan these days, Gypsy Blade?" His voice was a whisper, but the hybrid before him would have no trouble hearing his ethereal voice. The fact that such a reclusive Hunter Demon knew who she was and even spoke to her was a surprise. Kharsis rarely spoke to anyone, even those who hired him.

Gypsy tilted her head at him for a silent moment when he spoke to her then wiped her mouth with a convenient napkin and took a sip of her beer. Thankfully, she was finished with the steak and only had the fruit left.

Over his question, she finally gave a shrug of one shoulder, "She's learning a few new tricks. Fine otherwise," she stated simply without giving much of anything away. When she was hired for bodyguard jobs, she was pretty close-lipped about them.

She leaned back in her chair a bit, toying with an orange slice, "And what are you up to Kharsis? I haven't seen you since Hell's Cradle..." she countered softly, remembering that he was one of the few demons there that had been polite to her.

After all, down there females were treated like property. Admittedly, some were treated better than others, but that didn't negate the fact that the place was truly hell for most females. Gypsy especially...

Kharsis

Nodding, Kharsis finished the trencher and gulped from a glass of mead that a young slave brought to him in that instant.

"I've been hunting since then. I heard what's happened to you after you started mercenary work. Despicable, the way most Demons treat their slaves, especially in the so-called Pillow room." Kharsis was known to have extensive knowledge of happenings wherever he happened to be, mostly from listening to the guards of the Re. The stupid oafs believed themselves to be invincible and therefore spoke about anything they saw. A gifted pair of ears could learn almost anything just by sitting near where the guards drank.

"However, those times seem to be behind you now. Though that husband of yours could use a little straightening out. Demons like the Lord of Contracts, such a stupid name, tarnish the species, though I've never been an outstanding specimen either." Kharsis held a slight tone of cynicism. Those who had ever actually spoken to him knew, or at least suspected, that the Hunter had a strong distaste for other Demons, especially the ones that owned and abused slaves.

Gypsy just gave an amused snort over his opinions then shrugged one shoulder, "I met a few from Hell's Cradle that were perfectly content as slaves and even loved their masters, were treated like precious gems and nearly spoiled rotten. There are even a few of the type here. So not all are treated badly here, just a few by stupid idiots," she said of slavery, knowing that there were times when it worked as it was supposed to.

It was supposed to offer protection to those who didn't have the skills to fight, give room and board to those who couldn't afford it otherwise, and even give a bit of romance to those who were into that kind of thing.

But, as with alot of things, it was often abused by idiots who thought they had that right simply because they were stronger than others.

She finished off her orange slice and moved on to the apples on her plate, leaving the grapes since she didn't have a taste for them today, "As for Kael... I agree with you on the title, but he does have the skill to word a contract, so that's what he does. Still, I'm about to go through some re-negotiations on the one my b*****d of a father made me sign. We'll see how he does with what I have in mind. He probably won't like it... But, as with my other attempts on him, it won't kill him. Just make him suffer a bit," she finished that with a small smile that made the rest of the guards in the vicinity move to the far end of the room.

That small smile of hers had lead to people dying in the past. Usually in painful ways if they pissed her off enough.

Kharsis

Kharsis smiled lightly. He remembered that smile, one of the things that had endeared the hybrid to the Hunter when they'd met in Hell's Cradle. Finishing the mead, he stood and gave Gypsy a small nod.

"Those who force suffering on others shall reap what they sow. Kael will be sorry for what he's done to you and so many others. I, however, will have to miss such festivities. There is always someone to hunt when the Re is involved. Farewell, Gypsy Blade." Kharsis offered her another small smile before leaving the area, looking for another Prey to hunt.

Gypsy gave him a nod as he left then quietly finished off what fruit she was going to eat then the beer and got to her feet, pausing when one of the kitchen slaves came to clear the table. She simply motioned to the remaining fruit for him to eat then took her leave.

She had an appointment to keep...

So once she was outside the dining area, she used the shadows to take a trip...

Morrigan
Morrigan entered the dining area and gathered up some food. She sat at a table and began to eat, wondering where Gypsy had gone and when she would see her again. She finally just shrugged and continued to eat, paying close attention to the world around her as Gypsy had taught her.

Gypsy walked into the dining area and took in the entire room with a casual glance, giving Morrigan a simple nod before heading over to collect her own plate of food before joining her. She sat across from her and took a sip from the glass of dark ale she'd been given.

She stayed silent as she started eating her meal, waiting for Morrigan to start talking first since she could see the questions behind her eyes. Fine with her, she could wait.

Morrigan
Morrigan was silent for a while as she finished her meal. "I finished the assignment you left for me," she said quietly. "I didn't use my powers a single time. I chose to release one and sent the other back to the prison. What do you have for me to do next?" She didn't ask any of her other questions yet. She felt that it was better to get the talk of training out of the way before asking Gypsy about other things.

Gypsy tore a chunk of bread in pieces to sop up the juices from the roast, silently wondering where the kitchen slaves had found any beef for the stuff, "One more test. It'll be over in the training area. I've already made the arrangements for it. We'll go over there after we're finished here," she stated simply then returned her attention to finishing up her meal.

She never said anything about Morrigan's progress. Whenever the girl hadn't figured something out yet, she had her repeat it until she did. Whenever she got it, they moved on to something else. Gypsy knew it was likely frustrating, but it was also working.

She knew she'd gotten some major looks over her new darker appearance but she didn't really care by now. She had other things to worry about....

Morrigan
"Alright, then" Morrigan said. "Let me know when it's time to get started." She didn't really say anything else. Of course she had noticed the changes in Gypsy, but Gypsy obviously didn't wish to speak about it, so she wouldn't ask. She wouldn't say much at all, really. She'd been head over heels for Gypsy for quite a while now, but Gypsy either didn't notice or didn't care, even when Morrigan tried to make it obvious that she really cared for her. So Morrigan was done trying to get Gypsy to notice that she had feelings for her. She would be polite, but she had given up trying to get Gypsy to really notice her.
