Tech Mech Street is home to some of the greatest mechanically inclined minds in the entire Kimchi region. The various shop owners on this street have banded together to maintain it. They look out for each other, and if problems come up, they band together and help keep their street clean and safe. That being said, there is a plethora of items for sale from the various shops and stands that line the roadside. There are also job requests available if you need the extra cash, so keep your eyes peeled.
Farsight Corner
Owned by a rather gruff man named Cole. He likes money but doesn't like people that much, so he can be a little difficult to deal with. His tech however is extremely handy, so make sure you stop on by.

"This is Techmech Street. See ya."Before Laram could turn around to say anything, Megan was gone. Laram had a feeling that Megan was a bit irresponsible. But he shrugged it off. If he was totally honest, he probably was a bit too. The trainer strolled down the sidewalk, glancing in the windows of the shops as he passed them. It didn't take him long to find the notice board Trish was talking about. There were tons of posters and flyers pinned to it in a haphazard fashion. It was difficult to sort through, but after a couple minutes of searching, Laram found a job that looked interesting. He had done his fair share of junkyard scavenging in his youth, so he knew he could be good at it. The trainer picked the paper from the board and showed his team. "This one looks good. At least its' not cleaning anything. Let's go find this Al person."According to the flyer, Al had a shop on Techmech Street called "Weird Al's Gadgets". Laram looked down the street to see if he could spot it. Sure enough, it wasn't all that far away. It was still a little early, and Laram wondered if the shop would even be opened. There were barely any people on the street. He shrugged and approached the shop. It was, indeed, open.
"Hello? Anyone here?"Silence. Laram edged into the shop and began to peruse the shelves. The place was an absolute mess. Bits and pieces of screws, and metal pieces, and electronics were just everywhere. It made it practically impossible to take a step without stepping on some sort of garbage. The shop smelled of soldering materials and Laram stifled the urge to sneeze. As he eyed the items that seemed whole, he realized he didn't know what any of them were for. Laram tried again."Hello? Is anyone here?"A scrambling sound could be heard from the back. Then a loud crashing sound. Laram winced and caught a glimpse of Shadow turning invisible and winked in his direction. This seemed to surprise Thorn, and he started looking around for the frog."Yes yes. I'm coming, I'm coming."From an unseen door, a tiny, old man appeared in a lab coat that was too long for him. He wore an old pair of spectacles that had several lenses attached to them, but flipped up to the side. On top of his snow white, thinning hair, a pair of large, dirty goggles adorned his head. Clearly, they had been used one too many times.
The old man; Al, Laram assumed, hopped up on to a stool and eyed the trainer with eyes that looked like they were having trouble focusing. "Can I help you?"Laram placed the flyer down on the counter."You looking for some help old man?"Weird Al flipped one of his lenses down and stared at the paper, then back to Laram. Slowly, he grabbed the flyer and put it behind his counter, obviously disappointed."Yes yes. Go to the junkyard and I'll meet you there later. You're looking for an old disc. I'll come by later and help."The shop keeper waved Laram off and disappeared into the back again. Bewildered by the experience, Laram exited the shop, asked directions and headed towards the junkyard.
"So Rob is out sick today. So we'll have you sweep up the streets instead. So, since you aren't prepped on the machine, we'll have you just go around and pick up any litter you find. So here's a broom and dustpan."Laram wondered why the man started every sentence with the word "so", but he shrugged it off and accepted the tools. After the previous day's activities, he was glad to accept a simple, "clean up" job. It was easy, honest work; and Laram didn't mind doing it. Thor, Shadow, and Jack even pitched in to help too. They were able to get in to places Laram couldn't. Thorn and Zues had taken off into the sky. Laram didn't mind too much, he just hoped that Zeus didn't drop the monkey. Laram had spent some time the previous night learning about Pokemon types, especially his own team's. Thorn was apparently a grass type, which was weak against Zeus' flying typing. But Laram trusted his life long partner, and he sort of knew what Thorn was capable of.Thorn...Thor. Well, there's nothing I can do about it now. But I suck at names.
As Laram continued to work, he ignored the contentious stares from so of the richer people walking down the street. He was used to them, but they never failed to annoy him. As he neared the end of the street, he met up with his team and finished up. He found the man who hired him and handed back in his tools. After thanking Laram for his work, he handed the trainer one thousand, and some sort of new Pokeball. Laram thanked him and pocketed his pay. Before he left, he wanted to stop in a couple of the stores. He visited Baron of Battle and turned in the dead battery his team had found in the junkyard. This allowed him to buy a fully charged battery at half price. He also purchased a cool looking magnet before exiting the store. He could think of a few uses for the item that could come in handy. After Laram finished his business in that store, he made his way over to Farsight Corner and turned in the broken glasses they had found in the junkyard as well. This profited the trainer, by allowing him to buy some interesting sunglasses at half price. After finishing his business, Laram realized that the day was barely half done. So he and his team gathered and made their way towards Route 2. Laram wanted to learn more about his Pokedex and how it could help him become a better trainer.
Laram scratched his head impatiently. He had been waiting on Techmech Street for an hour. He was supposed to meet the courier at ten in the morning. They needed to get on the road as early as possible. Once night fell, any progress would stop until the next day. Laram really didn't want to spend a super long time walking back and forth between towns. He clicked his teeth and looked up into the sky towards Zeus. He could tell from the eaglet's flight path that he didn't see anything. But it occured to the trainer that Zeus didn't know who the courier was."Wingu, use Water Gun!"The command came from behind Laram's back and he spun around to face his attacker. A fourteen year old boy wearing shorts, suspenders, and a blue dress shirt was pointing at Laram and his Pokemon Shadow. Then he looked up, and saw a white bird spitting a stream of water towards them."Shadow, move."The frog darted to the side and created a knife of light while adopting a ready stance. He was waiting for his trainer's orders, but ready to act without them if necessary. It was how they worked.
"Smack Down, then Cut."Laram didn't know why the kid attacked him, but he didn't care either. The Froakie carved out a medium sized piece of the street and hucked it at his opponent. The bird, seemingly having trouble maintaining its' height, took the blow head on and dropped to the ground, hard. As it struggled to get to its' feet, Shadow showed no mercy and leaped forward, slicing the bird with his knife. It collapsed and Laram grabbed the kid by his shirt and threw him up against a wall."Please don't hurt me!"The boy covered his face with his arms and shrunk down, trying to get into the fetal position. But Laram was holding him up by his shirt."Why did you attack us!?"Laram practically yelled at his assailant, which cowered more at his voice. Without looking Laram in the eye, the young trainer weakly spoke."Please wait. I just wanted to see how strong you were. A lot of couriers have been mugged on the road lately. I needed to know if you could protect me. Please let me help Wingu." Sudden realization washed over Laram and he released the trainer from his grasp. The trainer wanted to apologize, but he wanted to get moving first."Grab Wingu and let's go. We're running late already."It sounded harsher than he meant, but Laram was still a bit on edge from the attack. The courier picked up his Pokemon and followed Laram out of town towards Route 2.

What a rush! Regal could still hear his heart thumping away in his chest as he delicately hopped off of Nurse Joy's Arcanine. He was incredibly grateful to the fire type for how quickly it had gotten them into the city, but the poor trainer's legs felt like jelly after the high speed trip. Stifling her giggles at his wobbly knees, the nurse informed Regal that Techmech was the place to be if he wanted to begin preparing for his gym battle. All of the artisans there specialized in making equipment for trainers and Pokémon alike, so he was sure to find some sort of inspiration if he kept his eyes peeled. And with that, she was off yet again to resume her duties at the Pokémon Center. After another minute to calm his shakes, Regal set off as well.
"Another day, another new adventure! Jarvis, can you update the Town Map and ping any local requests to my Pokégear? We're gonna need to make some extra coin if we want to do anything other than window shop."
As quick as ever, Regal's Porygon uploaded the necessary data to its trainer so that he could find himself some part time work. As it just so happened, there was an urgent request for someone to help tidy up the street before their annual safety inspection. The work was honest and the payment was good, so Regal called the request poster to say that he was interested. Relieved that someone had finally accepted the job, the person on the other line, a nutty sounding guy named Al, gave him the list of areas that needed cleaning. He would send a worker and a truck to gather garbage from the various locations, after which the two would go to the local junkyard to dispose of it all. Easy!
Not. The amount of garbage was nothing less than ridiculous, and a lot of it was discarded, HEAVY equipment from the local artisan shops. Nova and Terra did their part in helping to move the trash into the back of the dump truck, and Icarus especially provided a lot of help by whipping up small gusts to sweep up the dirty streets. By the end of it though, all three of them were pretty spent. The streets were clean though, which meant the team had successfully earned their bread. Hopping back in the truck, Regal and the driver, a polite young man named Marshal, hit the road towards the junkyard, but not before the trainer received another call from Al.
Apparently, he had lost an old disc of his at the junkyard they were heading for, and was willing to pay Regal to look for it while he was there. It meant a bit more money to put in his wallet, so the trainer accepted. Ending the call, Regal informed Marshal of his arrangement with Al, and that he was gonna try to sneak in a quick cat nap on the way to the junkyard. Something told him that his already busy day was about to get busier...

Apparently, Regal was just in time to make some easy money. The local barbecue joint needed someone to pick up a package for them on Techmech Street, and the job request was uploaded to the trainers Pokégear not even five minutes after he had arrived looking for work. It seemed to be a time sensitive request, so Regal accepted it quickly and made his way over to the appropriate store to pick up the parcel. It turned out to be a box of Cell Batteries, which made a lot more sense after the B.O.B. owner filled him in on the nature of the restaurant.
"Well, we've got the package. Now I just need to deliver it. Jarvis, can you upload some directions for me?"
Quick to comply, Regals Porygon uploaded the map to his trainers Pokégear and watched him as the trainer looked it over. Even on foot, Thunder Barbecue wasn't very far from Techmech, which made this job a relatively easy one. The cherry on top was another job from the same location asking for trainers interested in battling their staff. It would be a great way to train and fill his wallet at the same time, so Regal was all kinds of pleased. With the parcel in hand, the trainer made his way out of Techmech Street and towards Thunder Barbecue.

Techmech Street was already bustling by the time Regal showed up to Al's to collect his Pokémon. The engineer had worked on the broken Pokéballs throughout the night to make sure that the trainer would have his team back together the next day. Strapping the newly repaired capsules back onto his belt where they belonged, Regal thanked the older man profusely for his help, to which he simply smiled and sipped his coffee. As far as Al was concerned, an all-nighter was hardly enough to pay him back for recovering the artisans stolen money and goods, which would have seriously hurt the district had the thief managed to have gotten away with his heist.
As thanks, a number of the shop owners presented the trainer with an Item Finder as well as a small cash reward for his efforts in recovering their valuables. Having now attained a respectable amount of money in his wallet, and also to prepare himself for the journey ahead, Regal decided to finally make the trip around the various shops along the street to look for gear to fortify him and his team. They had gathered a ton of raw materials throughout their trips into the junkyard and abandoned factory, which meant that the artisans were happy to give him a discount on their wares. Furthermore, Regal had also received a twenty percent off coupon for his purchases from Al the other day for even more savings. By the time his shopping spree was finished, the trainer had walked away with an Up-Grade for Jarvis to use in the future, a pair of Running Shoes and a Silph Scope to better assist Regal in combat, as well Protective Pads, Wise Glasses and even a bag of Quick Powder just because it was on sale. All in all, the trainer was quite happy.
And he was about to become a lot happier. As the trainer finished paying for all of his purchases, he was distracted by a strange movement coming from his backpack. Setting it gently on the ground, Regals eyes widened as he pulled out the Pokémon egg that Professor Hemlock had given him back in Blume Town at the start of his journey. No cracks had formed just yet, but from all the movement going on Regal was certain that it was about to hatch. Ecstatic, he gingerly picked up the case his egg was stored in and began making his way back to the Pokémon Center. He wasn't sure if he would make it in time, but if possible he wanted Nurse Joy on hand to ensure that the baby inside the egg hatched safely and healthy. He couldn't wait to see what kind of Pokémon it would be.
