Need to add / finish:
Audi Shahana Malik Zaniyah Nadina Maybe some more oldbies... Not sure who's dying off yet.
OOC Note: I joined Shaoilin Woods in 2004 as a teen, and frankly, I sucked at RPing. Because, you know, 14-year-olds are dumb. Due to this and the fact the shop became inactive multiple times, during which most of my closest RP partners left Gaia, I have retconned some parts of my older wolves histories and dropped their ages some so I actually have the time / ability to RP them properly (as they would otherwise be too old to do anything but drop dead or be crippled by the absence of aforementioned RP partners to the point of being unplayable). Also, a lot of things I just flat out don't remember. lolol
Therefore, if you happen to be a fellow oldbie and see anything that contradicts an RP from 8+ years ago, just know that it's intentional and should be assumed canon for my characters from this point on.

Homeland: Telk Languages: Telkish (native tongue) Age: Four years Gender: Female Parents: Jaha ♂ (NPC/Deceased) x Tissa ♀ (NPC/Deceased) Siblings: Yula ♀ (Hopefolly/Deceased) , Yura ♀ (Hopefolly/Deceased) , Yuna ♀ (Hopefolly/Deceased) Mate: N/A Offspring: N/A Pack: N/A Rank: N/A Colorist: JadeEye (original) / Hopefolly (recolor)
Wren was odd from the start. Anyone will tell you that. What no one can say for certain is whether circumstance or her own nature was to blame. She was born the only pup in her litter, one of four offspring total. Her mother was well into her dotage by time Wren opened her eyes to see the vast world around her — and soon left her daughter to fend for herself within it, as death's schedule doesn't cater to anyone.
Her older sisters, identical but for eye color, took to her more as a means of entertainment than a sibling. Wren herself, it seemed, was predisposed to favor bitterness over generosity, both with her things and her forgiveness. She took from them, then she took from others, first for survival and soon as misdirected revenge. The elderly, puppies, smaller predators — there was no one too frail or meek to incite a feeling of guilt for her misdeeds. She justified this through cold facts, brutal logic, and a sense of strength in knowing there was no alleged weakness in her thoughts and actions. The world would never wrong her again because she would never allow it.
Through patience, skill, and a lot of luck, she amassed a collection of trinkets, bones, and feathers, paying for her treasures with bruises, chipped teeth, and scars, but never her life. With nothing to do but tarry around her piles of stolen goods, her lifelong distractions no longer sufficed in muting the loneliness one feels in isolation and the utter boredom and aimlessness that comes with it.
A passing crow helped identify the origin of her once nameless possessions in the land of the two-leggers. After curiosity started to gnaw away at her sense of self-preservation, Wren traveled to a native tribe to see these strange creatures for herself. Her attempts to pilfer their tools directly from the source left her empty-pawed, but she was able to see another day through the assistance of her fellow wolf, Dakolin.
Though he had secured her right to breathe for the time being, it was immediately clear Dakolin didn't trust her. Yet he was impressed with what he perceived as a brazen nature and an impressive set of skills — though they would need to be nurtured, he said, as she had much to learn. After a long debate, he brought her to his home, a pack teeming with assassins, liars, and thieves just like Wren. Initially, she had her misgivings and her schemes, planning to rob them blind, perhaps even kill some in their sleep to ensure a clean escape.
Before this came to fruition, she realized it was more beneficial to stay and potentially detrimental to leave. She understood then she was not as invincible as the folly of youth had led her to believe.
While Wren is resolute in her claims her relationship with the pack never crossed the line of necessity — not that anyone but the voices in her head ever know to ask — the truth of the matter is she did form bonds akin to friendship. They just weren't enough to keep her from fleeing Telk when the sky rained ash and fire, leaving her surrogate family to an uncertain fate.
Wren remains dauntless in the face of her woes through a combination of willpower and denial. She is simultaneously meaner and kinder, more apt to lash out without thinking when under duress but otherwise liable to show mercy as she slowly undergoes a neglected grieving process.

Dakolin ♂ (Hopefolly) - The wolf responsible for saving Wren's a** and also wising her up to the fact no matter how tough someone is, there's always someone bigger and badder. Though he offered this service for many others, rumors about unresolved sexual tension did pop up concerning them in particular, most likely a product of Iriana's complaining.
Iriana ♀ (Kaelyndra) - "Dakolin's dirt pile," Wren calls her, as both Iriana and dirt are something he walks on everyday. Due to Iriana's (mostly emotionally-charged, illogical) jealousy and Wren's ability to make an enemy of a rock, these two have never gotten along.
Pavati ♀ (Kaelyndra) - Wren didn't always handle criticism with the gruff "******** you" stance she would take today. A conversation with a former group member left her determined to prove just how skilled a thief she could be, and as a result, she stole Pavati right from under her parents' noses. Dakolin was displeased, to say the least, and left the pup in Wren's care to teach her some responsibility. It's probably giving her too much credit to say she'd have gone out of her way to bring Pavati with her to Tolas; fortunately, Pavati just happened to be within shouting range when Wren made a run for it.

Homeland: Telk Languages: Telkish Age: Four years Gender: Female Pack: N/A Rank: N/A Domain: Birds Parents: Taeb ♂ (Hopefolly) x Ashara ♀ (NPC/Deceased) Siblings: N/A Mate: N/A Offspring: N/A Colorist: JadeEye (original) / Hopefolly (recolor)
Something is different about Aleu. Only those who have seen her kind before know just what to call it: Half-breed.
Aleu is the result of a tryst between her wolf father and tamed hybrid mother, by whom she was raised. Being born and bred amongst the two-leggers she's learned to call them by different names [1] and has a profound knowledge of their mannerisms and habits most animals do not. However, this is as much a hindrance as an asset, as relating to her fellow wolves is nothing short of draining on the best of days.
From the beginning, Aleu was practical; not a pessimist, but realistic, and to her responsibilities she was unwaveringly dutiful. Yet she longed to understand and define herself through her community and her lineage, two aspects of her life in direct conflict with one another. When her mother died, claimed only by the relentless passing of time, Aleu spent the better part of a year agonizing over her decision to stay or go.
Shortly after her shaman powers began to manifest, she left the only home she had ever known in pursuit of her father — only to discover him a rabid shell of a wolf in the most literal sense of the word. She trapped him in a ditch and exerted her healing abilities just enough to keep him alive, though she was unable to bring him any coherency [2].
She lured or chased other animals into her territory where she goaded her father to bite and scratch them, then trapped them too, thereby allowing her to study the sickness extensively. Though most of her victims were themselves murderers or other types of offenders, to say Aleu never contaminated innocent individuals is more than likely untrue.
Through her demented experiments she learned birds shared something of an immunity to this nameless plague [3], and it was due to this she opted to take them as her domain.
Aside from her experiments, she maintained a low key, productive life, and was well-liked by many of Telk's animals. She received word through a personal friend and seer that the end days were upon them and did not take this knowledge for granted. It took her months to lead her delirious, half-dead father to Tolas. There she has managed to find him a new hole to live in and new place in which to perhaps find the cure once and for all. Consumed by this quest and agitated by her unfamiliar surroundings, she has become far more aggressive.

[1] Aleu learned through repetition, same as a modern day dog learns to recognize things like "Do you want to go outside?" and commands such as "Sit!" that the two-leggers do not address themselves as such, but instead that they have individual names same as animals. She also learned that different groups, like packs, have their specific monikers. She does not, however, recognize the word "human" as their self-identifying word for the entire species and therefore still addresses them as two-leggers.
[2] Aleu's father has been infected with the viral disease known as rabies. Even in modern day, this terminal inflammation of the brain is an imminent death sentence if not treated promptly (generally with a week, give or take). In Telk, their lack of medical advancement means there is neither a cure nor method of prevention.
IC, Aleu does not know the word for it and instead refers to it as "a sickness." Through the use of her supernatural shaman abilities — noting also her healing prowess is above average — she has managed to extend her father's lifespan by focusing her energy to act as immunoglobulin would; however, she just barely manages to keep his neurological symptoms at bay enough to keep him alive. Her father continues to deteriorate and as little as one day of neglecting his "treatment" would surely lead to disaster.
[3] Avian life (along with reptiles) have shown a certain degree of natural immunity to rabies. This is cited in the wikipedia article ("Any warm-blooded animal, including humans, may become infected with the rabies virus and develop symptoms, although birds have only been known to be infected in experiments.") as well as many other printed, web-based, and real life account sources.

Taeb ♂ (Hopefolly) - Aleu's beloved terminal ill father, lab rat, and burden all in one. Coherency is a lost art for this wolf due to his condition. He spends most of his miserable life trapped in ditches and caves while his daughter tries fruitlessly to cure him.

Homeland: Tolas Languages: Telkish (fluent), Naztl (native tongue), Agaphene (a few words and phrases) Age: Three years Gender: Male Pack: N/A Rank: N/A Parents: Tlaloc ♂ (NPC) x Pali ♀ (NPC) Siblings: Nelli ♀ (NPC), Zolin ♂ (NPC) Mate: N/A Offspring: N/A Colorist: Hopefolly
"Are you far from home?" A question Acalin hears more often than not at some point in his many conversations with passing strangers. It's usually assumed he must be from somewhere, belong somewhere, because he's so willfully sociable and not at all the slovenly image many pack wolves expect from a loner. Confident, but not arrogant, he can become too involved in the problems of those around him, sometimes to the point of projecting their shortcomings onto himself.
He was raised by his parents and extended relatives alongside several other family units. One could say they were a pack, though in fact they were more of a neighborhood nestled in the forests near the Wapishi tribe and the Overseers. He grew up with a well-learned wariness of two-leggers, a certain degree of awe for seer and shaman, and stumbling around whilst trying to learn three languages, of which he mastered only two.
He met the love of his life very young, and as a pup declared she would one day be his mate. The adults dismissed him with soft laughter and joking encouragements, but lo and behold, his adoration for her survived the trials of adolescence well into adulthood. He's certain still today they were destined for many litters of pups, a nice cozy life along the shore. But his beloved had dreams of her own, and so she left him, joining the Overseers to dedicate herself wholly to her budding seer abilities.
Acalin spends his days in denial, keeping upbeat and gregarious, trying to reach a level of perfection for when his dear would-be mate returns. Deep down, he knows this will never come to be, and this is in part why he keeps quiet on the matter of his romantic tragedy. He tells the world his mate is out hunting, away visiting family, anything but the cold truth.

Nahu ♀ (NPC) - Acalin's alleged mate, forever on a hunting trip, visiting family, or taking naps anywhere but where he happens to be at the time. This soon-to-be seer left to join the ranks of The Overseers, from which Acalin continues to hope she will return.
Zaniyah ♀ (Hopefolly) - Acalin grew up in the same neck of the woods as Zaniyah. He holds her in high esteem, though he worries she works too hard and "won't live to see seven summers" for it. What draws him to her the most (aside from their history) is the unwavering dedication to her brother.
Izel ♂ (Kaelyndra) - Zaniyah's younger brother, and to watch them interact, one would think Acalin's as well. Combined they serve as a stark contrast to Izel's no-nonsense older sister, but one might suspect without her they would starve to death as they seem to drain each others work ethic and attention span.

Homeland: Tolas Languages: Velskan (native), Sharanjin (secretly fluent; publicly conversational), Telkish (conversational), Yakoshi (only a few phrases and words) Age: Three years Gender: Male Pack: The Timekeepers Rank: Time Keeper Parents: Otho ♂ (NPC/Deceased) x Nadina ♀ (Hopefolly) Siblings: Blasa ♀ (Shia bean), Amery ♂ (Kaelyndra) Mate: Uuni ♀ (Kaelyndra) Offspring: N/A Colorist: Kaelyndra
Until adulthood, Iver was always of the opinion he'd rather be left alone, neither forced to lead nor damned to follow. He's fortunate to have grown into the qualities needed to maintain a pack like his, as birthright appointed him leadership whether he wanted or not. In many ways, he is a superb choice — thick-skinned, rational, and an adept troubleshooter with a penchant for creating and maintaining order.
Elsewhere, his immensely private lifestyle might be considered suspicious or concerning given his high rank. Within the Timekeepers, his "strong and silent" reputation serves him well. Many wolves have known him his entire life and couldn't tell you his favorite color to save their own. Yet for those he calls friends, it's a daily struggle to adhere to his loyalty to them and his duty to be fair and productive for the pack.
Few are aware of his humility, as it tends to translate as apathy or laziness, but Iver's primary goal is always the greater good for his home, even at the expense of his own reputation. He shoulders the criticism of not having learned Sharanjin because for the Sunlords to not know he speaks it fluently has proven beneficial in the past.
Iver was born with two siblings, a brother and a sister. In the weeks after his father Otho's passing, Iver remained silent but for necessity — giving orders, confirming schedules, and speaking to the bears from the Mountain Guard. Some remember he was well on his way to recovering of his own accord; others claim it was the arrival of Aksaya, a seer sent from the Sunlords, that brought the light back to his eyes.
Iver was not smitten with her, but rather intrigued. For someone with an inquisitive mind and appreciation for change, he had never needed much else. Aksaya assimilated into Timekeeper society under his guidance and remains at his side, now answering to "Uuni" instead.

Otho ♂ (NPC/Deceased) - Iver's deceased father, to whom he was seemingly very attached, given his reclusive behavior in the wake of his death. They had a stoic relationship from an outside point of view and were never seen or overheard displaying any affection whatsoever; in fact, most remember them being at odds with each other.
Uuni ♀ (Kaelyndra) - A seer from the Sunlords, forced to Timekeeper lands due to the peace treaty that bans her former pack from having seers. They are now accepted as mates in the public eye, whether or not this is the case, and are most often seen together. Rumors of Iver emotionally and even physically abusing her behind closed doors have been passed around, but no one can ever trace these to the source, and therefore they have yet to be verified. In public, he appears indifferent at worst.
Nadina ♀ (Hopefolly) - Iver's mother and Tolas' most skilled nagger, in his opinion. Their relationship is a strained one, bogged down by Iver seeing her as too demanding and critical and Nadina at odds with what she considers his disrespect for tradition and their family.
Blasa ♀ (Shia bean) - Iver's sister and the second oldest of his litter. He sometimes laments her not having been born first and at others is grateful she was not. They're very close, but disagree on some key issues, most notably the matter of whether to work toward abolishing slavery within the lands. These conversations are not for the ears of the public, of course.
Amery ♂ (Kaelyndra) - The only brother Iver has to his name, and truthfully, there are times he'd rather be without one. Amery is not as ethical as his brother, as hardworking as his sister, yet seems to be favored by their mother despite it. This isn't the root of Iver's primary problem with his sibling, however. It goes far deeper than just that.

Homeland: Telk Languages: Telkish (native tongue) Age: Five years Gender: Male Pack: N/A Rank: N/A Parents: Carth ♂ (NPC/Deceased) x Lara ♀ (NPC) Siblings: N/A Mate: N/A Offspring: N/A Colorist: JadeEye (original) / Hopefolly (recolor)
A charismatic wolf with an unwaveringly idealistic belief that the world is better off in a state of absolute freedom, that every animal should make his or her own choices without the intrusion of self-appointed authority and dictatorships. Dakolin is an ambivert, selfless in the most selfish of ways, simple at a glance and yet startlingly complex upon closer inspection. He is as flawed as he is gifted, and often, they are one in the same.
His tolerance for the shortcomings of those around him and his patience for their misdeeds has been bent, but never broken. He has picked up and dusted off many of society's most execrable, those they call thieves, liars, and killers, and helped groom them to be someone with purpose. This was his primary motivation in joining a group known as the Arcane Circle, most of which was lost in the downfall of Telk. Prior to that, he lived on his own, having left his parents and with no siblings to his name.
It was surprising to those as familiar with him as one can be that in the chaos of Telk's destruction he stood with a stillness a mountain might envy, struggling to cope with just what he was seeing. He finds Tolas a more favorable land when given the chance, though he wonders just what sort of life awaits him and those he now leads here.

Iriana ♀ (Kaelyndra) - Dakolin has long ago acknowledged Iriana's infatuation with him, but has always dismissed it as little more than that. The long glances, the nearness, the cooing... He'd hoped it would stop sooner rather than later, but anticipates this forced move will only exacerbate it. For all his condescending talk, it's unlikely he would have fled Telk without Iriana in paw's reach.
Pavati ♀ (Kaelyndra) - Pavati, like Iriana, is a former member of the Arcane Circle. His relationship with her is outwardly more neutral than the others in contrast with her slight crush, but that's blame to be placed on him, not her. He currently assumes she's perished in Telk.
Wren ♀ (Hopefolly) - Wren was your typical low tier thief until Dakolin directed her negative energies in positive ways. He gave her a home, a goal, and a chance to be part of something bigger than herself for all the good it did. He believes her to be dead, killed by the falling ash and fire in Telk.
Light ♂ (Kaelyndra) - Light was a straggler found when Dakolin was leading Iriana out of Telk and to the safety of Tolas. He was assisted for no other other reason than being humane and presently travels with the duo as they try to get their bearings.

Once, the path less traveled had Kaho's paw prints from one end to the other. They've long since faded as the wolf himself seems to have suffered the same fate. Wherever he goes, he moves as though he's haunting the place, absent the passion, the light in his eyes. Muted is his wit and flirtatious remarks. On the worst of days, he doesn't lift his head, so his once keen observational skills are of little use to his makeshift pack of refugees.
Turning back the clock, to a time before he lost his family and the majority of his friends, Kaho is a gregarious wolf who brought just as much joy as he took, moving group to group, female to female, not only heading straight for chaos but acting as its harbinger. All for the love of the thrill, as opposed to the love of love.
His father was aghast to raise such a cad and his gentle mother too forgiving of her son's wrongdoings. Kaho met his match in a wolf named Solan, whom he settled down with, sired a son and a daughter — then lost all three.
He travels now with what — or rather, who — remains of the life he once knew. Though he is able to literally see the future, what hope he had for it remains shattered in the past.

Kara ♀ (Kaelyndra) - Kara and Kaho have a complex relationship. To label it would be difficult, if not inaccurate. He serves as an adviser, both with and without use of his supernatural abilities. That he knows Kara's secrets is just because he's as good at seeking as she is at hiding them. There's a tension around them that isn't friendly, and yet a mutual trust built from seeing through one bad experience after another side by side.
Ran ♀ (Hopefolly) - Kaho finds Ran less naive than he once did; instead, he tends to see her as willfully blind, not unintentionally ignorant. It calms him in some ways and agitates him in others. But what he can say for certain is that her personality complements her healing prowess. They are closer now than they ever were as both know the pain of losing an entire family.
Kiros ♂ (Kaelyndra) - Kiros was led to safety by Kaho, Kara, and Ran as they abandoned Telk before the eruption. His upbeat mannerisms aren't perceived as mercifully as Ran's are. Kaho seems to use him as something of a lightning rod for his own negativity. They are not enemies, per se, but friends... No, they're probably not friends either.
Deliver Us - Kaho's visions presage something terrible and the shamans' guardians start to flee Telk, prompting him to act on this knowledge. Powerless - Kaho discusses his opinion of Kiros. Or not.

Homeland: Tolas Languages: Velskan (native tongue), Telkish (barely) Age: Two years Gender: Female Pack: The Timekeepers Rank: Warrior Parents: Yael ♂ (NPC/Deceased) x Isolde ♀ (NPC) Siblings: Ulrich ♂ (NPC) Mate: Rayner ♂ (Hopefolly) Offspring: N/A Colorist: Hopefolly
If ignorance is bliss, then arrogance is euphoria. This is mind, Zalina has certainly found her corner of paradise within the Timekeepers. She is by far more flaws than virtues, but not outwardly wicked as one might expect; rather, she is selfish to the point of depravity. Given time, her many likeable quirks are vitiated by this narcissism, but many could understand (and some have experienced) her magnetism in the beginning. Zilly lives life with a certain flair not just anyone can, strutting about with unbridled confidence and a relentless curiosity and awe that reminds one of puphood, when the world was new and unmarred by the prospective of an adult. She has a knack for finding drama worth watching, yet is proficient in keeping herself and her viewing partner out of the line of fire. She is, put simply, fun to be around.
Where things take a turn for the worse is around the time one realizes just how needy and demanding Zilly can be. She has unrealistic expectations about how she should be treated; she expects to feel superior without any accomplishments to warrant it; she is not practical, not likely to tend to her own day-to-day rather than foist those responsibilities on her circle of friends.
She was raised by two decent, but not exceptionally loving parents, and perhaps that's where she awry. Maybe it was that they seemed to favor her brother. Maybe she was just a bad seed from the start. Whatever the case, Zilly has already caused havoc amidst one family and it's unlikely to be the last.

Rayner ♂ (Hopefolly) - After Rayner's servant companion and mother of his pups died in an "accident," Zilly was quickly deemed his official mate, despite having been involved with him well before then. Then it was discovered (albeit by Rayner alone) Zilly and his eldest son, Gervas, were having their own tryst. Hesitantly, Zilly assisted Rayner in blackmailing Gervas so as to send him away to the Mountain Guard. Since then, they have been in a seemingly stable relationship.
Gervas ♂ (Shia bean) - Rayner's eldest son and one of Zilly's former flings. While Zilly was drawn to his father for his rank and power, she genuinely liked Gervas. One of the few bouts of guilt she suffered throughout her life was having to frame him for attacking Rayner so he would be sent away. But she knows these things are necessary to ensure her own comfortable lifestyle, and her self-preservation overrides all else.
? (Kaelyndra) ♂ - Rayner's second son and yet another source of attention for Zilly. With Gervas now absent, she's seemingly hellbent on pursuing him in his brother's place.

Homeland: Tolas Languages: Velskan (native tongue), Telkish (fluent), Sharanjin (fluent) Age: Seven years Gender: Male Pack: The Timekeepers Rank: Warden Parents: Andras ♂ (NPC/Deceased) x Maibrit ♀ (NPC/Deceased) Siblings: Quintus ♂ (NPC/Decased), Malakia ♂ (NPC) Mate:Zalina ♀ (Hopefolly) Offspring: Gervas ♂ (Shia bean), ? ♂ Colorist: Hopefolly
Rayner embodies the best and the worst of the Timekeepers' warden rank. His personality is in essence charismatic, confident, and efficient on one side, domineering, intolerant, and impatient on the other. Had he been nurtured in an environment where his long-term focus could have been directed to "greater good" causes, Tolas might have had a mighty fine humanitarian in its midst. Instead, Rayner was raised by a warden father who taught him it was his duty to better the world by empowering the strong and disparaging the weak; that it was his right to walk on those with less potential than he himself possessed.
When Rayner is in a bad mood, the slaves certainly know it, as he is one of the most guilty perpetrators of slave fights — something that almost cost him his rank once the current alpha, Iver, came into power. Rayner does not fear much in life, but the thought of losing his title was and still is cause for alarm.
Typically, he respects those who stand up to him, yet to say he loathes his new leader is an understatement. Even those of high rank best err on the side of caution when making an enemy of Rayner. He has proven through actions rather than words given enough time and resources he can accomplish near anything.

Otho ♂ (NPC/Deceased) - The former Timekeeper alpha, Otho and Rayner had a much better relationship than he and Otho's son, Iver. Otho was far more willing to overlook an obscene number of slave fights and shared a similar personality to Rayner's.
Tisa ♀ (NPC / Deceased) - Tisa was a slave Rayner took on as a servant, then as a mate after Iver became the alpha. This was done only to better his image as he was at risk of Iver demoting him due to abuse of power, though by all public accounts he loved her quite a bit.
Once the dust settled, so to speak, Tisa vanished, allegedly having died during a "hunting accident." As she was still technically a slave and there was no proof to the contrary, Rayner was not technically guilty of anything; furthermore, the fact that he then accepted their two enslaved sons as his own did well for his reputation, abating any suspicion those in-the-know had (or at least making them all the more willing to overlook it).
Zalina ♀ (Hopefolly) - Zalina is Rayner's current mate. He has little respect for her, perhaps about as much affection, but she strokes his ego and listens well. He feels more as though he owns her than is mated to her, but so far, their relationship seems to be going well. Aside from one thing...
Gervas ♂ (Shia bean) - Rayner's eldest son, discovered to have been having an affair with his mate, Zilly. Outraged, Rayner lured Gervas outside the pack, claiming he was teaching him to hunt. He sent his son ahead and ordered Zilly to inflict injuries upon him.
After shouting for Gervas to return to them, saying they were being attacked by outsiders, the three rushed back to pack. There, Rayner instead claimed it had been his son who attacked him. In accordance to Timekeeper "eye for an eye" law, Rayner was permitted to wound his son; however, he insisted he didn't have the heart to harm his own kin, so instead Gervas was sent to the Mountain Guard and Rayner's public image was further ascended by his supposed unconditional love for his son.
? ♂ - Other son. Coming soon!
Iver ♂ (Hopefolly) - Rayner does not like Iver. Iver does not like Rayner. They have a forced neutrality amongst one another in public when possible, as both are unable to fully get the better of the other in the public eye.
Uuni ♀ (Kaelyndra) - Rayner hates Uuni the most, not because of any personal slight, but because of what she might do. Being the Timekeepers' best seer does not bode well for him, though so far she has been of little use in helping Iver get the leg up.
Until Proven Guilty - Rayner's search for Iver leads him to a lone Uuni.

Ran's comfort zone is a relatively small one, encompassing herself and those closet to her. When permitted to work from within it, she thrives. Her devotion to her friends is deep and genuine, but her concern for the well-being of others extends beyond those known by name. She is not only considerate of society, but permits her morals to be influenced by it, always watching her step, ever mindful to live under the banner of "normal."
Though her powers manifested in puphood, Ran did not fully embrace her shamanism until age and wisdom gave her the courage to willingly stand out, if only once. She has used her salutary abilities for friend and foe alike; something that seems saintly at a glance, but has had done more harm than good on more than one occasion.
Ran longs for a harmony that, realistically, the world will never see. Predators will always hunt prey. Wolf will always fight wolf. She knows this, but discussing it? Another matter entirely and not one Ran is interested in. Instead, she engages in conversations about topical concerns and day-to-day life. When she asks how you're doing, she truly wants to know.
Without a doubt her biggest downfall is how sensitive she can be. Her heart is easily wounded and, at her worst, she can become obsessive with what others think of her.

[1] OOC, Ran was a shaman before domains were a thing and just sort of got shoved under "Butterflies" for lack of anything more appropriate, as at that point I had been RPing her for years and it was far too late to retcon her entire shaman quest. That being said, she does not actually control / signal / alert them in general. See "Tahara" for more.

Tahara ♂ (Hopefolly) - The spirit of Ran's seer uncle, Tahara is an entity not coherently understood by those around him, nor is he seen by just anyone. Typically, animals that have seer/shaman prowess are most likely to detect him as more than just a faint glow.
Tahara manifested in the form of butterflies when Ran was a puppy in order to not frighten her and simply maintained this form either by choice or necessity (as he cannot speak to them, no one can be certain). He appears as a group of butterflies, usually taking the vague shape of a wolf, in order to help guide Ran's group and assist in healing. Without him present, she is close to useless as a shaman; with him, she is quite skilled.
His personality now seems to coincide with what it was in life: dependable, intelligent, and protective.
Kara ♀ (Kaelyndra) - Ran met Kara some number of years ago when she wasn't much more than skin, bones, and bitterness. They shared a rabbit together and the rest is history. Kara's romantic pursuits of Ran have gone unrequited and perhaps tapered off. Either way, Ran would more than likely have been nothing but bones herself by now if not for Kara's leadership. Left to her own devices it's unlikely she'd have survived the fire that killed most of her family and friends, let alone the volcano that destroyed Telk entirely.
Kaho ♂ (Hopefolly) - Kaho and Ran have a complex relationship rooted mostly in their shared experience of having their powers awaken as pups and the fact Tahara was his best friend in life. Ran enjoys his company and spends a lot of time fretting over whether she's annoyed him.
Kiros ♂ (Kaelyndra) - Kiros and Ran and kindred spirits. Their attitude toward having to leave Telk is very much simpatico and because of this she is spending more and more time around him.
Deliver Us - Kaho's visions presage something terrible and the shamans' guardians start to flee Telk, prompting him to act on this knowledge.

If life was a story, Hayako would never be the main character. He is too reliable, too responsible, too steadfast and law-abiding to be considered quirky. Most mistakes he made young, and likewise, learned to avoid repeating them well before adulthood. He is dedicated first and foremost to his duty; if things go awry while fulfilling these obligations, he is now and has always been one to shoulder the blame, both on his behalf and that of those appointed to work with him or below him in the chain of command.
As this has burned him in the past, in present day he hesitates to join forces with anyone but those already proven trustworthy. Hayako does not take his allegiances lightly, so for an inspiring Tracker to persuade him to guide them would be quite a feat.
Liars and laziness are two things that ruffle his feathers, to no surprise. Confronted with this or looming deadlines, his temper burns bright and hot as the sun itself.

The silver lining isn't good enough for Tabahira. Where there seems to be only wickedness and despair in any given situation or individual, she will dig deeper until she strikes gold. Her idealism can discourage as easily as it inspires, since although her selflessness can drive those around her to better themselves, it has its infamous downsides. There have been times Tabahira has become so adrift in her own world — musing over the hypothetical what could be, the philosophical what might be — she neglects her duties and reality itself.
Tabahira sees herself as misunderstood; others typically describe her with terms like shy, calm, and most inaccurate, uncertain. She is silently self-assured, internally passionate. Her every action adheres to the righteousness of thy own self, with little mind for cold logic or consequence. She listens often, but speaks little, and when she does tends to use metaphors and whimsical stories.
Her creative side has groomed an astute memory for all things with deeper meaning, in particular the moral-driven legends of the land. Tabahira can recite nearly all of them by heart — and frequently does so.
Her upbringing was all together boring. Her middle-aged mother, thought infertile, managed to give birth to her and a brother whom passed away shortly thereafter. She was a bit spoiled and safeguarded, which fostered her dreamy personality quite well, needless to say. After her parents passed on, she joined the huntresses and there she has remained.

Stability is Lin-ne's goal, and she sees no better way to uphold it than by adhering to order and the established norms. "Change for the better" is something of an oxymoron to her.
Although honest to the point of viciousness, her intent is never cruelty. Lying, as well as cheating and half-assing things she feels should be criminal offenses, but since they aren't, they at least deserve her scathing reviews. Perhaps a bit hypocritically, no one suffers her verbal wrath more than the current Spiritseeker, whom she sees as unfit for the task regardless of if he was put in the role through traditional means. Biting her tongue isn't a skill she bothered honing, and one day, it just might get her in trouble.
On the other paw, it's easy to nod along or overlook her perpetual bitterness when she walks the walk as often as she talks the talk. Hard worker? Understatement. Lin-ne abides by her duties and then some, picking up the slack where others fall short. Of all things, this is a burden she bears in staunch silence; she never seeks credit or recognition for her many benefactions. In the event of a disaster, she would not only be one of the first wolves on the scene, but one of the first to start bestowing order in the face of chaos.
