 Kusari had taken longer than he'd liked before going back out there, trying to center himself after several meditation sessions and a bit of yoga to balance everything before attempting another fight. The rat moved through the tunnels quietly, before selecting an opponent, and tried to sneak up close enough to aim a quick nunchaku strike at his horned head. HP: 20

 HP: 19It was time for him to attack someone this time. He roamed around looking for a fight but it looked like a fight found him. The sneak attack was in vain, much to Donovan's luck. He swung around trying to slash his enemy with his sword.

Kusari was not as lucky or sneaky as he thought, or perhaps, being in the darkness follower's domain gave him the advantage over Kusari. He had to move quickly to avoid the sword that came his way, catching a nick as he pivoted, then tried to lash out with his nunchaku again, upwards towards Don's chin.

The blow to his chin set his head spinning. He had to take a moment to clear his vision and make sure none of his teeth were missing. He could already taste the blood in his mouth. He smiled a bit, showing off his bloodstained teeth before lunging at the cursed with his blade.

Kusari moved as he cleared his head and started to go in again, but he was faster and the sword bit deeply into his side as he tried to turn, he winced, this time moving to try and crack the nunchaku across his opponent's knee.

Donovan wasn't prepared for the attack to his knee but once he was hit he pulled his sword away. It felt like this cursed could have very well cracked his kneecap, but he couldn't worry about it now. He took this chance to swing his sword towards the other's knees.

Kusari was agile. And as he saw the sword sweep down he leaped up -- he caught a cut on one leg but the other snapped up into a jump kick aimed at Don's chin.

Again the cursed went for his chin and again it hurt and caused his vision to swim. He shook his head trying to free himself once more from the daze and sprang at the cursed, trying to hit him in a more aerial attack.

Kusari landed mostly smoothly after the kick, though his other leg hurt from the cut. But before he knew it the tenacious darkness follower was upon him again, sword swinging and the rat couldn't avoid it this time, taking a nasty injury across his chest. He winced, but tried to move in, his weapon a blur as he attempted several rapid fire strikes at Don's midsection with the hardwood nunchaku.

Donovan managed to dodge these blows somehow, jumping back and leaning on his good knee. He took a moment to act his breath before charging in at his foe, swinging his sword at his face.

Kusari was stunned this foe was faster than him, he considered himself very quick and light on his feet before he knew it, HE was the one backpedaling, but not enough as the sword bit through his shoulder and his face both as he reared back, blood flowing freely from wounds everywhere as he ducked low and instead of using his weapon came up with a fist, once more aiming for his foe's chin. Maybe eventually he'd crack something or knock him out if he kept this up, before he succumbed himself.

Again he was struck in the chin. Donovan was getting fed up with all the cursed's shots to his face. Freeing one hand from his blade, he tried to uppercut the other and give him a taste of his own medicine.

Kusari was able to avoid that, thankfully, feeling the punch brush his ear as he dodged, and raised his arm to bring down the nunchaku atop his head as hard as he could.

Most of the blow was blocked by his horns, but he could feel himself getting more sluggish. He knew he was close to passing out. He put both hands on his sword, swinging for the cursed's midsection and hopefully slowing him down.
