She felt sick. Every morning since a week before. Normally she wouldn't be worried, but with the nausea only hitting in the mornings and her close relation to Magiore made her nervous. She had scheduled a doctors appointment, had a check up and received news that was not only big but almost life changing.

It would explain the problems with her transformations into being a senshi, and why she woke up with nothing left in her stomach. She was nervous, confused, scared, joyful, grateful. So many things played in her head, so many scenarios.

She had to tell Magiore right away, and as soon as she was released from the doctors, headed to his apartment. At least as Failyn, everyone saw her as a normal woman that he dated. Just a woman in college, who was trying to get her history degree.

Never mind the ring that he had given her, that sat on her ring finger in it's silent claim that she was his. She had only told few people about the marriage, her parents and Arilee to be exact. Her parents feared and congratulated her. She could only imagine what their reaction would be after this.

Stealing a breath, she made her way to Magiore's apartment, pulling out the key he had given her a long time ago and entered in. Her head turned to see if he was around.

They'd been married, by Magiore's count, for three weeks now.

He could have lied and said that it wasn't dangerous; that he didn't constantly worry about both Failyn and Mintaka's safety, and that everything was simply wedded bliss between the two of them - but he didn't, because it would accomplish nothing if he pretended that things were fine. Magiore lived in constant fear that she would be discovered, and yet his devotion to Failyn Namgun was insatiable.

The first night together had been the closest definition to the aforementioned "wedded bliss," because for the first time in his life Magiore had simply let everything go; he'd forgotten the Negaverse, forgotten his duties, forgotten everything except for the woman he'd now deemed - that they'd both deemed was his wife. It had been agonizing to have to watch her leave in the morning, slipping out silently so that she could return to her life as Mintaka, and Magiore had kept pulling her back, not wanting to let go just yet. As a result, she'd been quite late returning, but neither one of them held any regrets.

After that, it had been somewhat of a roller coaster ride. Failyn couldn't live with him without arising suspicion, so their meetings were still carefully made, but no more in abandoned buildings covered in cobwebs or dank, dark alleyways. Instead, it was quiet, whispered conversations as she'd slipped in through the window of his apartment, or the old concept of hiding in plain sight as she'd casually made her way to his place as though she was a simple woman he was currently seeing.

He liked falling asleep with her in his arms, but he hated waking up without her.

The ring he'd made her was a simple one; Magiore had forged it in the workroom he'd set up long ago in the guest room of his apartment. It was a thin, silver band, one slightly smaller than the other. He'd spent hours engraving them to make the markings just right, and when he'd finally finished, they were just right. They looked identical, the infinity symbol stretching gracefully along the band; as Magiore he'd taken the smaller of the two and slid it onto the ring finger of Failyn one night after he'd finished, and then taken the other and slipped it onto his own ring finger.

"Infinity," he had said, as he'd drawn her hand to his lips to press a kiss to her slender fingers. "Because we will always be together."

Then he'd pulled her close again, unwilling to let her go.

That had been several days ago, and he'd seen her since then, but had yet to see her today. Magiore was sitting on the couch in his living room, reading a book and drinking a cup of tea when he'd heard the key in the lock, and by the time Failyn had entered the apartment, Magiore was already on his feet, striding towards her.

"Failyn," he said, and wrapped his arms around her waist, bending to give her a simple kiss in greeting. "Good afternoon, my love."

Three weeks. She breathed. Three weeks since that night. That blissful night of love. She played nervously with his ring, a ring he made for them with the symbol of infinity engraved in it and knew that it was something she would treasure forever.

He was home, and that both relieved and scared her all the same. She had interrupted his reading, his rare chance of downtime. Even if...Even if he treasured their time together.

Stars above, she was becoming a hormonal mess and she was only in the first month of pregnancy. It was ridiculous!

"Good day my heart." She returned it, resting her hands on his shoulders. "I hope I didn't take you away from a good read, I find them rare nowadays." She both glowed and paled. it was going to be hard. What if he didn't accept her? What if he didn't accept the child growing inside her. Barely married and she was already expecting. What if he chose negaverse, gave her and the child who could end up either a senshi, normal or negaverse in return for freedom forever. She hated herself for thinking it, hated herself for a moment of doubt.

"Can we sit together love?" She pulled back, taking his hand in hers. "I've got...I've got news to tell you." She tried to smile, but it was only half there. "If...If that's okay...?" she hated the nervousness. Any other time, any other place, she would've ran into his arms, declared they were having a child of their love, scream from the top of her lungs that they were going to be PARENTS. But in this war, she'd have to be careful. And with it effecting her...senshi powers, she was vulnerable. And so was their baby.

"You are always a welcome interruption," said Magiore truthfully, as he reached around Failyn to switch the lock firmly shut on his front door; one could never take too many chances, after all, and even though her civilian identity was mostly protected, Magiore refused to be lax on security when it came to her.

He settled both of his hands back on her waist, absently sliding them up and down her sides in gentle movements. Failyn's face was rather pale, which made him worried; had something happened on the way here? He'd seen her the day before yesterday, which made it one day too many for a newly married couple, but what could have happened in the space of that one day for her to look that way?

Too many things, was the answer.

Failyn had leaned back, which surprised him; Magiore wrapped their fingers together, lacing them tightly, and gave a slow nod. "Of course," he said, and gently tugged her towards the couch, sitting down and pulling her to sit beside him. "What's the matter?" he asked, and then his eyes narrowed slightly. "Did someone do something? Has your identity been compromised?"

The idea was terrifying. He tried not to think of it.

The lock clicked in place with a echoing noise in her own head. Foolish to get nervous, thinking that there was no escape when really Magiore was doing it to keep them safe. Keep them together. Her hands kept playing with everything, moving from him to her. Couldn't sit still.

She moved to the couch with a sort of stiff robotic movement, bending her knees as she sat up upright, back straight as a board. Her hands when to playing nervously with her skirt.

"Well...Someone did do something I suppose, two people. Together." She circled around the issue, hating herself, "N..No. No we're still okay, I'm still okay. Well I'm kind of okay. Just a little shook up. Not like bad shooken up." She rambled, playing with her hair, tucking it behind her ear.

Playing with a strand. It was really hard to face him, really hard to meet the dark blue eyes with her own softer blue ones. It was just really hard. Eventually her hands stop playing with her own and then she did look at him.

"I love you." She said very sincerely. "I love you with all my heart. I love you with all my soul. Whatever we decide here, I will still love you no matter." Her hands took them, placed them on her flat stomach. "We're going to have a...baby..." The last word was whispered...very..very quietly, but enough for him to hear.

He wondered what it was that was making her so nervous, because in turn it was making Magiore quite anxious himself. Failyn kept shifting where she sat, and she kept tugging at her skirt as though wanting to keep her hands occupied while she gathered her thoughts.

Magiore felt his heartbeat quicken, his breath becoming faster. "Two people?" he repeated sharply. "What did they do - did they do something to you? You look paler than usual, are you unwell? Did they hurt you, these two people? What happened, Failyn..."

He trailed off as she turned to look at him with those eyes of his, and her voice was soft and familiar and achingly warm, and Magiore felt some of the tension ease from his shoulders.

"I love you," he answered her quietly, "I will always love you, no matter what. Failyn..." he said, almost pleadingly, confused by this situation, this matter at hand that she was trying to tell him. "Failyn, please, what is the matter, at least let me know that you are not hurt - "

"We're going to have a baby."

He almost hadn't heard it all, had almost talked right over the barely audible word, but it hit him like a knife to the stomach, Magiore's breath catching in his throat, his eyes wide. He stared at her, his expression utterly stunned, and for several moments, he did not say anything at all.

A child? A child?

A thousand thoughts raced through his mind, each one cascading over the other so that they were nothing more than a chaotic mess, a tangled web of confusion and mayhem. Magiore reached out and grabbed Failyn, his arms going around her, his face buried in her hair as his entire body shook, his grip so tight it was nearly painful.

"A baby," he whispered, and there was a sort of reverence in his tone, but also a terrible, terrible fear, because what on earth would happen to a child born of both the Negaverse and the Order? He clutched Failyn to him, trying to get the shaking to subside.

"A baby," he said again, and this time there was more joy in his words, Magiore leaning back to cradle Failyn's face in both of his hands. His eyes were oddly bright, startling tears stinging at the corners of them.

"A child," he said, "Our child. You're...you..."

It was hard to get the words out. A small smile found its way onto Magiore's face as his thumbs brushed against Failyn's cheeks.

"We're going to have a baby," he whispered.

"No..No okay, sorry that was terrible. I mean, us two. We, two. I mean you and me." She tried to lessen his worry, "I'm not hurt, a little sick, but that's it so far." his touches were reassuring and nerve wracking all at the same time.

He wasn't quite rejecting her, which made her happy. Her arms wrapped around his in turn, trying to ignore the painfulness, clutching at the back of his shirt as tears started to shimmer. She hated that she kept crying. He was shaking, was it in fear?

"Y..Yes. 3 weeks or more they said." She rubbed his back, more for herself but also for him, to keep him relaxed. Or relax him. Relax them. She heard the tone, her heart waiting for him to stop, double think their marriage. She hated she had those thoughts. He was nothing more then loyal to her, nothing more then the perfect husband.

"A baby." She reaffirmed, searching his face. She didn't see pain or fear, but a joy. her face easing, lighting in it's own way. "A baby, yes. We are." She laughed because he was so typically stunned she couldn't help it. What was it with guys and their...she just laughed because it was so normal and happy and she had to look at it that way.

Her fingers came up to wipe his tears away, kissing the corners of his eyes. "Our child. I'm pregnant. With our Child." She shook her head. "I love it, I love you. I want this baby..." She said fiercely, "And it's so selfish too, but it's ours and it'll be a beautiful baby and..." She took a deep breath though, because this was the part where the bad news came in.

"I can't henshin up though...." she looked at him, "I can't become Mintaka. At first I thought something was wrong, like my planet had disappeared. At first, I had trouble keeping my senshi form, and the transformations wouldn't last long....and then I couldn't do it at all...so I went to the doctor." She shook her head, "But I went in to see if I was...ill or if something was seriously wrong. That...That's when I found out. I just found out today...."

He was having difficulty wrapping his mind around it.

A baby. A child, his child. He was going to be a father. The concept, the very idea was mind blowing, and seemed to be surreal to the point of disbelief - and yet, Failyn's early morning sickness sometimes when she stayed over, the strange glow about her, it all added up.

Failyn was pregnant.

He wasn't really crying, though there were a few tears beading at the corners of his eyes, which Failyn kissed away with gentle ministrations. Magiore took a deep, shuddering breath, his fingers still moving restlessly over her cheeks, feeling the warmth of her skin beneath his hands.

"We're going to have a child together," he repeated, in a wondrous tone. "It's...amazing. We're going to be parents."

Five years ago, he would have never thought it possible; three years ago, when he'd been in denial of his feelings, he would have never even considered the possibility, would have laughed and shaken it off. Now, however...now after having married Failyn Namgung after all this time, it felt like a dream.

But not all dreams were entirely good; Magiore felt his smile fade as Failyn spoke, worry and anxiety threading its way into his thoughts.

"You can't power up?" he asked, thunderstruck by this unexpected issue, and then he became more alarmed, his hands falling away from her face to reach for both of hers and grip them tightly, fingers wrapped around her own. "But it's dangerous - how are you to defend yourself - but the child - "

There were so many risks, so many dangers; he had not anticipated that being pregnant meant she could not become Mintaka, and this put a whole new spin on the situation. Magiore felt as though he'd been doused in ice cold water, a chill sweeping over him that had nothing to do with the temperature.

"How do you feel?" he asked apprehensively, and lifted their clasped hands, pressing his lips against her fingers almost as though to reassure himself of their connection. "What are we going to do if you can't...if you can't power up?"

Fai was a bit slower on the uptake then Magiore, because she battled that morning sickness for couple of days before actually doing something about it.

"We...Yes. We are going to be parents. You and Me. We are." She laughed, wrapping her arms around him, because he accepted her. He accepted this baby. He wanted them. He wanted both of them. A family.

Ask her about this five years ago, and she would've been insulted. She was growing and training to be a lady. She wouldn't have children without a proper income, steady job, loving doting husband and a house together. They would be married for years before their child, got all that newlywed energy out and then settle. Ask her three years ago, and she would've said no, it wasn't safe. It would've never been safe for them to think of a child while they were still dealing with each other.

Ask her now, and she was excited and terrifed. Thrilled but dreading. What would her child be coming into? What did it mean for Magiore...and herself? What would happen now?

"Yes, I couldn't ask the doctor about it, so I might go find one of the order princesses and ask them if they know anything about it." She pulled back, trying to ease the alarm from him, rubbing his arms. "I'm not sure. I'm not sure what I am going to do, that's the problem." She brought their hands up. "I'm just a civilian now, but anytime that can be compromised....Especially when I run Safe Haven..."

"I feel sick, a little hungry. Scared mostly. I'm excited." She shook her head, "One minute, then I'm terrified and weepy the next. I don't think it's hormones yet, I was reading on internet some of the symptoms and such, and I seem to have some early ones but..." She squeezed his hands tight, "I...I have to leave the city Maigore." She pressed her lips to his fingers too, mirroring his motions. "I can't protect our baby here. And I can't protect myself." And she couldn't ask him to protect them, when it would threaten everything he was. Not that he was unreliable, because he wasn't. But because she wanted to protect him more.

Parents.

It was a terrifying word, one that Magiore had heard many times before in his life, millions of times - but never had he even considered the word would be in relation to himself, and especially not with Failyn Namgung. When they'd first met, as Mintaka and Aurostibite, he had been stubborn and resistant to everything she had said and done. He had wanted little to do with her and her cause, but little by little, day by day, slowly, he had started to feel something different, something that scared him. And every moment had started to lead up to the one where he had finally realized his own feelings, until his emotions had burst out of him and he had let go of everything.

He had no regrets, but sometimes he wished he had let go earlier, because he could have been with Failyn much earlier than they had gotten together.

It was the worst and the best time to have a child. The war raged around them, and nothing was set in stone; every single future was uncertain, and there was hardly anything a single person could do to change that. But at the same time, something so precious and so beautiful in the midst of all the sadness was wondrous.

Wondrous and terrifying.

A civilian, Magiore thought, as he stared at Failyn. A civilian. She could no longer defend herself if the time came, she couldn't power up. She was entirely on her own when it came to protecting her and her child - their child, because without her powers, there was precious little hope.

A swell of fear rose in his throat, Magiore clutching his wife's hands. "Are you..." A pause, as his mouth had grown dry, and it was suddenly hard to breathe. "Are you telling me that...that you're leaving me?" he asked, and the room spun around him, making him feel dizzy. This wasn't happening, he couldn't let this happen, he couldn't be alone again, without her. "You're leaving?"

Fai had been doing everything she could to keep Magiore calm. Even with such news, it was no shock that he'd be well...shocked. It wasn't fair of her to think that he would be dumb about it.

Magi-Aurostibite was thoughtful. Mostly Calm. He saw it all, took it all in and he let it sit there until it processed. His staring worried her though, her hands coming up to touch his cheeks, holding them there, brushing against his skin.

It was sad how dependent she was on her powers, how they had served her and her cause and become a crutch in this warring world. Without the power of origami, she wouldn't be able to defend herself from Youma...or worse, Negaverse generals and corrupt senshi. The ones who didn't care about breaking rules and stealing large amounts of energy from humans.

His question made her hand jerk back, staring at him with wide eyes. "No." She tugged at their hands, where he gripped them. "No. No I'm not leaving you." She was shocked, but mostly scared. "I can't leave you. But I can't...I can't stay in the city." She turned her hands, pulling them from his and gripping his face gently in them. "I can't stay in the city when negaverse controls it. I can't stay here....with Negaverse and it rules and...What if they want energy Magiore? What if one corners me one day? The youmas..." She shook her head, "I'm not leaving you, but...but I have to leave the city." She repeated again, running her thumbs across his cheeks. "I'll go to Safe Haven, and I'll stay there with everyone. I've been meaning to spend more time there. And there will be plenty of powered people there. Drake will be there too, you know he wouldn't let anything happen to the house or to any of us there. I can just focus on rebuilding it again, I can help out the kids." She leaned over to kiss his lips. "Come...." it was right there, on the tip of her tongue. At the breath of her lips. Come with her, Come with me. Come. She wanted to say it, wanted to demand it. But he was of Negaverse, and she couldn't....she couldn't bring herself to ask him to defect. He was too loyal. He had always been loyal.

She hated it, She hated her stupid stance on neutrality in that moment. She hated that she was trying to be selfless, to keep him with her without asking him to change himself. 3 years, she never demanded anything from him concerning his allegiance.

3 years and didn't have the courage to ask him to do it now. Coward. She was such a coward. She hated herself for it, hated herself for not being stronger. Hated herself that she fell so desperately in love, that even when she wanted him chained to her, she had no way too. She hated that she thought he needed to be chained to her in anyway. Even if she was pregnant, married to him. She could never ask..she could never demand from him.

"I..." she looked away from him, her hands dropping into her lap. What else could she say now.

Her hands were gentle on his face; Magiore closed his eyes against the feel of them and lifted his own, covering her fingers with his and pressing them more firmly against his cheek. He didn't want her to let go, didn't want her to leave him, but it was almost as though he could feel her slipping away from him.

This war was good at tearing people apart, whether a single person or more.

She withdrew her hand he opened his eyes to find her looking at him with a stunned expression on her pale face. Magiore felt his heartbeat quicken, and his mouth felt dry, too dry, to properly form coherent words. Failyn's thumbs brushed over his cheeks, and he couldn't breathe, because losing her - now losing both of them, for there were two people he cared most for in the world even if one had yet to be born - was painful in a way he couldn't quite describe properly.

He felt as though he'd been dipped in ice cold water. Failyn's lips pressed against his, words dying in her throat, and Magiore closed his eyes, inhaling a sharp breath that was muffled by her mouth. He lifted his own hand and slid it around the back of her neck, tilting her face more towards his own, deepening the kiss until it was mingled passion and frustration and fear all in one.

When she pulled away, his body moved automatically to chase hers, Magiore trying to catch his breath, his hand refusing to move from her neck as he kept her from slipping too far away (too far too far too far). His eyes were still closed, Magiore dizzy with all of his emotions.

"I can't..." he started to say, and then shook his head, just once, and when he opened his eyes, his expression was pained. "I can't live without you," he whispered hoarsely. "I can't do this without you, I need you, I need you, I need you..."

His cheeks felt hot, his selfish desires eating away at him. He was Negaverse and always had been and always would be; a dog at their disposal, for them to use whenever they pleased, and that collar and leash weren't so easy to break - and he wasn't sure if he could even if he had wanted to. His loyalty had always been a strong point in him, and it was painstakingly hard to try and change views and opinions that had been long since cultivated.

But this was Failyn. This was his wife, and his child, and he couldn't abandon them, couldn't leave them to stay alone in that place while he continued about his daily business.

Which was more important?

Magiore pulled Failyn towards him until he could touch their foreheads together, and then he sighed, his fingers brushing gently, soothingly, against the back of her neck. He took a deep, shuddering breath that felt as though he was trying to breathe through sandpaper.

"I'm coming with you."

She understood and didn't understand his fear. To think she would leave him meant cutting out her own heart and leaving it here. She had told him forever, however long and short and far it was. She would never look at someone like she did him. She would never love (besides their child) like she had loved him.

She was so angry with fate, so tired of destiny. She, in that moment, hated the moon princess. With her love for the prince of earth, that cause this war. She hated how she felt like she understood now, how she could see why this was so important. For the briefest moments, she felt the truest sense of attachment to the moon princess, to her court. Love. Love was amazing and terrible all at the same time.

And yet she couldn't really let go of him, even as he kissed her, almost emptying thoughts from her brain, she couldn't let go. How could he ever think she was leaving him, how could he ever think she could live without him. She would die a little inside at the house, wishing for him, pining for him.

He engulfed her, even when she was moving back. Even when she thought to give him his space. He moved in need with her. To her. And she still couldn't bring herself to ask him.

Come with me. Run away with me. Leave them behind and stay with me. Stay with us. Come with me.

"Magiore...Magioreeeeeee." She drew his name out, soft and quiet. "Please..." Don't make this harder, don't make her stay. She would. She would stay and try to make it work, you just had to ask. Even if it meant losing herself as Mintaka, she would stay. She'd never henshin up again. She'd stay.

His words punched through her, her heart exploded. It was like he read her mind and heart and understood. Like he knew that in truth, she wanted them away...away together.

"You'll come?" Her had lifted, eyes meeting his. "You'll come with me..." She brought her hands up to his chest, gently pushing him back so she could look at him clearer, and not through the fringe of her white bangs. "You'll...you'll give....them...for me....you will...but...Magiore..." She was so stupidly happy and so stupidly upset at the same time. "A..are you sure?" Please be sure. Please come with her. Please leave the negaverse for her, and for their child. Live with her peacefully at the safe haven until they couldn't live there anymore. Stay with her. Stay with her forever. "Are you sure?" She asked a bit more clearer, a bit more stronger. He had to be sure. She didn't want him to hate her after this, hate her for forcing him like this.

It was dangerous, what he was considering, perhaps to the point of being considered almost suicidal. But at the same time, it was the only option that Magiore could see himself being able to accept; the only path he was willing to take. He could not simply go about his daily life with the Negaverse while Failyn was pregnant and powerless, all on her own at the sanctuary which she would have to call home for the time being. It made him feel cold to even consider such a thing, but the Negaverse had been his own home for so long that it was difficult to change his feelings about it. He had always believed them to be the right course, even with everything going on, and he still maintained that belief and that loyalty towards them.

But this was his wife and his child, and he could not and would not abandon them.

Magiore lifted his hand and wrapped his fingers around Failyn's, which were pressed against his chest. Her eyes were wide and fearful, but there was a stunned sort of desperate pleading in them that matched his own, and Magiore's heart ached, his chest feeling tighter and tighter.

"I've made my choice," he said, and squeezed her hand, and though his throat felt dry and tension and anxiety riddled his entire body, there was a strong, clear conviction in his voice and in his eyes as he looked at her. His grip was iron as he held her hand. "I will stay with you no matter what, even if it means giving up the life I currently hold."

Magiore's expression softened. His other hand lifted and pressed tenderly against the side of Failyn's face as though she were extremely fragile and he was afraid of breaking her.

"I love you," he said softly. "I could not live with myself if anything happened to you and I was not there to protect you...or our child."

She was troubled by his trouble. She felt his struggle, as if she felt the struggle within herself. She knew him too well, she supposed, when she knew that he was deciding the factors within their relationship compared to the loyalty to the Negaverse. They were strict, and sometimes harsh, to her opinion, but if not for them, she wouldn't have Magiore, or Aurostibite.

"Oh Magiore." She leaned over and kissed him, her words a soft sigh against his lips. "I...I am so happy. I'm so happy." She took his hands, "I'm so so so so happy, and I want this. I want this life. I want this life with us together." She brought his hands to her stomach, pressing gently to it. "And we'll make a good home for this one. Whatever they are, whoever they are." She looked up at him again.
