General Galena lounged back in her overstuffed chair, adjusting her gloves with dainty mannerisms and small, finicky adjustments of her uniform.
Fieldwork was enjoyable, but returning to the confines of the indoors after such activities was its own brand of welcome comfort. When she should slough off the grime and upset of the days work and feel satisfied that things had shifted. The world was affected because she went out and molded change in the personal lives of unfortunates who crossed her path.
Although tonight the lingering lives on her mind were the senshi who could've possibly followed a false lead, wasting their time on a stakeout that wasn't going to yield to their expectations.
Her harshly painted lips shifted expression as she contrasted their discomfort to her own contentment and reached for her tea.
"How long before you think it will take before they figure out it was a lie?" She said like a rhetorical question, but only because her conversation partner was rarely considered little more than a sentient tool or furniture piece.

Said piece of furniture was occupying space at that moment like a sort of table. More accurately, a table that was doing pushups. Life hadn't really changed much for this particular senshi, despite the fact she had been corrupted a few years ago into this form. A civilian identity got in the way of training, and training led to this Super Senshi becoming an excellent tool in the Negaverse's arsenal.
After her time spent with her handler, Antiope had learned that counting aloud as she did her exercises did seem to get on the General's nerves. So the girl easily accommodated by keeping track in silence.
It took the furniture a good amount of time to speak up, but the corrupted Senshi of the Mantis liked to only end on an even number on her exercises.
"Well, the White Moon is dumb... so I am guessing it won't be until they see our faces that they will realize 'oh sh*t... we messed up!'" A grin crept upon her face as she sat herself upright before she seemed to invite herself to the General's side.
"Which tea did you end up with?" she asked, seeming to eye the cup her superior held onto.

Galena put her feet up, crossing one stiff boot over the other. She like maintaining her powered form these days and had all but left behind the struggling 20-something who dressed in costumes to get by. She was a general, and her uniform was crisp fashion that appropriately supplemented dignity.
"Elaichi chai," She answered in a flat monotone as she wallowed in the scent of cardamom.
Not that she wasn't fully confident in the operation at hand, but she thought that any stakes and their ability to stand up to the scrutiny of questions could only prove the integrity of the plan's structure.
"Right, well," She looked down at the liquid and tapped on painted nail against the porcelain, intentionally disrupting the surface tension and watching it settle before one hand affectionately brushed against Antiope's cheek. There was nothing visibly really wrong with the motions, but affection from Galena was always slightly off. Either too restrained or too forward and always plastic.
"No mistakes, as usual."

"Once I finish up, I think I'll help myself to some!" Antiope leaned into the hand briefly almost like a cat before pulling herself away. The prompt from her commanding officer seemed to have struck a chord in the corrupt senshi. Though this form of hers seemed to ignore certain protocols of honor, such as maintaining a fuku the way it was intended, other aspects of formality seemed to still echo within her.
Taking three large steps back, the dark haired girl saluted her superior. In a stern tone, she replied back "I, Antiope of the Negaverse, swear to uphold my duties and make no mistakes on the upcoming mission! I will continue to serve my commanding officers as seen fit for the glory that is the Negaverse!"
The girl did not move from her salute and remained absolutely still, waiting for Galena to essentially release her from the position. Some might have considered the Negaverse to be family, but for Antiope, it was a privilege and she continually would prove her worth until the day she died.

"It's not very good," Galena said after the first sip. It must've been low quality leaves, because it smelled better than it tasted, having produced some strange aftertaste on her tongue.
She had take to simply frowning down into the delicately painted tea cup rather than seeking a replacement for its disappointing contents.
Her lidded eyes flicked to Antiope, holding her salute, waiting to be released. Galena just let her hold it there for a moment, letting seconds tick by before she laughed.
She set her tea down and rose from her chair, arms folded behind her in the small of her back and shoulders squared as she circled the corrupted senshi until she was behind her, and then draped her arms over her shoulders.
The index finger of one hand twisted around a strand of Antiope's hair, and from her position Galena planted a shallow but dramatically flared kiss on her cheek before releasing her. "Of course you will. Now go find me something drinkable." She said with a stiff pat on the other girl's cheek.

There were advantages to being disciplined in certain matters. Solidly holding a stance was not necessarily an easy task, especially with the distractions her handler put into play. Her eyes didn't dare to follow the woman as she drifted from in front towards her back. Her body didn't even twitch slightly as she began to play with her dark hair. Not even a subtle shift as her cheek received some attention.
Antiope was well trained. This sort of teasing might have seemed cruel, but the little Mantis seemed to thrive off of it. It gave her a sense of value to be doted on in such a manner. True, as a soldier of the Negaverse, returning the affections to a superior was out of line, especially in a display such as this. To Antiope, it was all worth it.
Only once she had the permission to get new tea did the Corrupted Senshi finally relax into a more standard position.
"I won't disappoint, I promise!" With that, the little corrupt senshi skittered off to tend to the current assignment.
