Changes:
Artist could have free-reign with clothes, as long as he keeps a collar of some sort for his Apprentice stage. And I'd of course have words to share about other stages as we come to them.

Age:
xxxxxApprentice: 13
xxxxxAdept: 18
xxxxxExpert: 24
xxxxxMaster: 32

Personality
Personality:
Sassy:
Naar doesn't have a word filter/sensor on him. Even at his young age, he very boldly speaks to his superiors/larger children like he's the c**k of the walk. He's incredibly cheeky and has a tendency to say things solely for the purpose of getting a rile out of whomever he's talking to. He's especially challenging to converse normally with if the topic is something he doesn't agree with or finds ridiculous and silly. Very blatant about his feelings/desires/needs/thoughts/just about everything. Despite his crass attitude, the instant he feels physically threatened, any sass left in him is instantly replaced by fear.

Outgoing:
If there are a lot of people around, all being vivacious, friendly, and bold and just having a good time, Naar is at his best. He adores parties, even if he isn't well-acquainted with anyone there. Talking comes painfully easy to him and he has no trouble breaching even very personal subjects. He's completely unrestrained in a group and is literally open to just about anything that doesn't seem like it could kill him. It's easy for him to get lost in a good mood and forget the end, so as long as there are a gaggle of people to hold his attention and keep him occupied, he'll do his best to remain just as upbeat.

Unforgiving:
If Naar holds onto anything, it is the mistrust/hatred he has for people who have wronged him. Much like he has only one chance to live, everyone else is only given the one opportunity not to screw up around him. Even small slights will be remembered vehemently. With persistence, accidental blunders can be pushed to the back of his mind, but they will never be forgotten. He stubbornly hangs onto anything negative he knows about a person, especially if they're violent. Naar has absolutely no sympathy for anyone that is physically abusive, even if he heard it by way of a rumor. He'll avoid anyone he thinks is dangerous, and will actually try not to instigate anything if he's forced to be around them for whatever reason.

Impulsive:
He won't be around forever, so why shouldn't he do the things that please him and have the things he wants? If it hurts someone else, that's there problem. If it hurts him... Well, he'll know to avoid it in the future. Of course, he's more impulsive with his words than anything else. Sometimes things just slip out without really meaning to...

Judgmental/Vain:
Naar judges books by their covers and he's not ashamed of it. How other people look says a lot about their character, in his opinion. He knows he's probably not liable to get along well with someone who's scowling when they meet. He doesn't really want to engage with anyone who looks like they just got out of a fight with someone or something. If they have a strange, foreign drawl, he'll probably think they're stupid and unable to understand normal conversation. Of course he's willing to try and get along with anyone who's aesthetically pleasing. And smells nice. Smells are also important. As for himself, he always wants to look his best. The idea of being seen before he makes himself presentable is actually incredibly revolting.

Dependent:
Naar needs to be around other people to be able to survive. Even as judgmental and unforgiving as he is, if the only other person in all of Magesc was a grimy Orderite serial killer, he would find a way to make it work, because he simply cannot stand being by himself. He's perfectly capable of handling all his personal matters on his own, he simply needs someone else there. Being alone and being dead may as well be synonymous. The person doesn't need to be in his immediate vicinity, but he needs to be able to reach someone, anyone with relative ease.

Broody:
The only reason Naar can't be left alone is because he'll instantly lapse into sadness. If he's left to his own devices for too long, he dwells on what could happen near the end. He thinks about how he'll feel and how others will feel and all that he's leaving behind, and it becomes overwhelming very quickly. Once he's stuck with those thoughts, someone has to come and snap him out of it, as he is currently unable to himself.

Affinities:
Likes:
xxxxxPraise/Compliments: Naar wants so badly to be loved and needed although he'd almost never say the same to anyone else. Hearing someone say nice things about him almost makes him feel like he won't be immediately forgotten.
xxxxxNoise: Straight silence is incredibly unnerving. Even when he's in the middle of class, comfortably surrounded by all of his peers, if everyone is completely silent, it actually freaks him out. If he's in the city, he enjoys the sounds of hustle and bustle. If he's in the field, he wants to hear wind and birds and bugs.
xxxxxNew Places: Visiting someplace he's never been is exciting. Being at home is boring. Seeing the same things every day is boring. The world is dangerous and people are horrible, but he still wants to experience every minute of it.

Dislikes:
xxxxxHorror Stories: He really doesn't need people trying to needlessly scare him, thank you very much.
xxxxxMurky water/fog/anything that hinders his already questionable vision: There could be anything living in those depths, and he wouldn't be able to see it, so how would he know? Pass on all of that.
xxxxxKnives/arrows/blunts/pretty much anything that's designated purpose is to kill something (as well as a few that aren't): He understands that the world and all its people came about simply as tools of war, which is fine, he supposes, but he's not going to coerce anyone into killing him by having some threatening symbol of aggression in his presence.
xxxxxRepitition: It's simply boring. Once is enough. He's already done it/seen it/felt it. Time to move on to newer things.
xxxxxCruelty: Just why? Naar doesn't necessarily think he's 'nice,' but he doesn't really want anything to be tortured, no matter what it is. Even dragons should just have a nice, respectful, quiet death.

Fears:
xxxxxThe Afterlife: Dying would be fine (as long as it didn't hurt, anyway) if he just knew what happened afterwards. Being an Oblivionite means he doesn't have a soul, so he should just descend into nothing, but what does nothing actually feel like? It's hard to imagine that all of his thoughts and feelings just disappear into the ether. he keeps hearing 'nothing,' but he's afraid he'll be conscious of it. He's afraid that he'll be aware that he sees nothing, feels nothing, and thinks nothing. It concerns him on a very deep level.
xxxxxAggression: Obviously nothing can match the utter terror that he has towards this looming 'nothing,' but anything that will bring him closer to that is something to be avoided. People, animals, or situations that look like they may have violent or life-ending tendencies are not things he wants to be around. He doesn't want to venture too near a dragon's nest or swim in water that's too deep or be around Magescians (mainly Orderite) that may have need to be rid of him. There is so much that fits in this nook that it seems like it should be completely paralyzing.

Bio
Family and Relations:
Loric Vivere:
Literally the only family Naar has ever known. He doesn't know his mother or any of his mother's family, and his father won't tell him about her. Eventually he got tired of asking and so is satisfied with just having his dad. Loric is on the upper scale age-wise. He was once a proud warrior, but he's softened considerably as the years have passed. He's no longer interested in battle, and instead owns a little shop selling potions and salves (Naar has little interest in this). He's a very doting father and completely spoils his only son, doing absolutely nothing to try and curb Naar's sass or demands.

Remalus:
While he isn't actively in Naar's life yet, he's about to be a very important figure. Remalus is Loric's only sibling. He was the family outcast and ended up moving to Eowyn, where he runs a rather unsavory business...

Background:
Naar has lived in the midst of Obsidian City all his life. In his younger years, while his father was still acclimating to civilian life, they slummed it a little bit. It was gross and dirty and the smells. The awful, horrible smells of filth. Of course, Naar still went to school with other youngsters that had it worse than he did, and since he didn't really know any better, he didn't have much to complain about.

However, Loric soon learned that while he'd given up outright battle, he could still use his skills to find ingredients in the nearby forests. He learned to brew potions, poisons, salves and saps, and with all his hard work and dedication, he was able to open a small shop in a better part of the city. By no means were they 'rich,' but Naar did get a taste of something sweeter. With a bit of a bitter aftertaste. He went to a better school, had nicer clothes, ate food he wasn't accustomed to... But he was also the brunt of his peers' nastier attitudes for being 'lesser' than them.

Naar quickly developed a defense to fend off the harsh comments of his schoolmates: his attitude. If they were going to spit obscenities at him, he was going to do it right back. He still isn't particularly respected, but it makes him feel a little better to have mean things to say. he has a terrible tendency to stir up trouble whenever the opportunity is presented.

Mentalities
Thoughts on the Great Engagement:
Good for the gods for starting a war...? Despite what his teachers tell him, he's actually extremely disappointed in these powerful beings that could create entire races, but can't seem to settle a squabble among themselves. It's kind of sad, really. And they hardly seem like beings anyone should worship...

Thoughts on the Dragons and Khehora:
Nope. Naar has no reason to engage in any kind of activity that will ever bring him anywhere near any type of creature that literally has no desire except to rip him to shreds. They can do whatever they want out there in the wild, but they need to keep themselves away from Magescian populations. He is not as all fond of the Bond, and doesn't think anyone should actively seek to try and tame a predator like a Khehora.

Thoughts on Orderites:
Too rough. Naar genuinely has zero interest in them. He doesn't see himself ever getting terribly close to them (since they're in Serenia and he's hardly allowed there), so hopefully they'll never really be in his immediate vicinity. He'd probably tend to stray away from one if he spotted one, if only because he's not so stupid as to idly approach someone that will probably hate him right off the bat.

Thoughts on Dovaa:
Not rough enough. He's not anywhere near as threatened by them as he is by Ords. He still hasn't seen any of them, but from what he's heard, they're generally a passive race. he should be fine if he ever crosses paths with one.

Thoughts on Oblivionites:
Just right. Literally the saddest people of Magesc. Of course it's his own race, so that makes it a little worse. While they're supposed to be brutal and fearless war machines, Naar has yet to meet anyone that actually fits this stereotype.

Thoughts on Hybrids:
His opinion varies from person to person. If it looks mostly Orderite, he'll probably treat it like an Orderite. If it looks mostly Oblivionite, it gets treated like an Oblivionite. If he genuinely has no idea what it mostly is, then it's strange and maybe uncivilized and uneducated and he should probably stay away from it. But it's also new and interesting, so... As long as it doesn't spit at him like some kind of wild animal, maybe he wouldn't mind trying to converse with it...? Just out of curiosity.

Hah, ha ha ha....hah. I love Naar. He's a cute little beastie. I approve. Honestly I don't see anything wrong with him, and he looks well balanced. Other than the occasional sentence that starts with a lower cased letter ("he keeps hearing 'nothing,' but he's afraid he'll be conscious of it." - "he has a terrible tendency to stir up trouble whenever the opportunity is presented." - "he should be fine if he ever crosses paths with one.") it looks well done to me.

Except Khehora are just wild animals waiting to eat him. Even if he'd raised it form hatching, it'd still grow up to be bigger and stronger than he could ever hope to be, and he doubts he could ever completely erase its feral nature. Best just to let sleeping dogs dragons lie.
