Drake shifted the heavy braid over his shoulder and let out a sigh. The room in front of him was finally done. Failyn's - Mintaka's - safe haven had enough rooms that he'd claimed a few on the lower floor for himself as a small school. He had no teaching credentials; the war had gotten bad before he could get them. He did, however, had a wealth of knowledge, and the young children who were being rescued or born of order parents couldn't get normal schooling. He'd at least teach them to read, write, do basic math, and how to write in code. Drake had mellowed some, though mostly to keep his head down and himself alive.
Someone had to teach the young ones, if they weren't going to be able to learn it themselves.
He left the small classroom and made his way to find Failyn. He had a stack of papers in his hand, mostly of the children he'd enrolled. Information of parents - dead or alive - age, whether or not they were awoken yet. As well as a missing persons list.
"Miss Failyn, I have the documentation on my students. We've lost another two," his voice was somber and quiet as he handed her the stack of papers. It was never easy telling her of the missing ones.

Fai had all manners of tools spread out one of the rooms, a private office for herself or Drake to use so they could further organize the flux of people coming and going. She'd have to keep receipts for supplies, food was actually going well as they cleared out more wooded area's for gardens. Thank goodness some actually knew how to grow vegetables and while it wasn't enough to supply a whole army, it was enough to make sure no one would starve. She thought of buying more land, expanding it for farms and cows and such. That way they could get their own milk, make own butter. It was a rustic life, and she knew that it was a pipe line dream, especially when she was still trying to finish rebuilding the large house so that when it rained, she didn't have to put buckets out in some spots...or that she could have more rooms for people to work in.
She had so many things she wanted to expand on as is.
Her head turned up from the thoughts as Drake came in, and she gave the man a bright smile. "Hi Drake, are classes finished already?" She got up, placing the tools around her and taking the papers to the old wood desk she picked up in a flea market. Her younger self played in her mind, disdain at using anything that had been used by another. Her older self appreciated the cheap and sturdy, but mostly cheap addition in these times.
"I'm so glad to see them enrolling!" She looked at them, really glad that most the senshi that awoke too early were getting a education free from Negaverse hate. She trusted Drake to teach children of the negaverse but in a neutral light, because who knew how this war would end up.
"Oh..." Her smile dimmed. Her heart sinking. Various things could make them go missing. A change in attitude, moving on from the safe haven to different place or the more negative, being captured or killed. She couldn't save them all. She hated that she couldn't save them all. She hated that she felt the loss just as terribly as she would if she loss someone close to herself.
"I can ask some of the other household if they'd like to help you out with the guard at night." There was plenty of stronger ranked people, and if she asked, they would probably help. Perhaps. "I suppose I'll have to go back to the city tonight and scout around again. Maybe they were taken and I can..." She set the papers down gently, "Ever hopeful aren't I?"
