Kekeovonnai was wandering, as he often did, enjoying the newfound freedom of Orakoirdom that allowed him to not be supervised or in the company of his sister or his father. The family tension that hung around his father was a bit much for Keke, and his sister had a tendency to complain all the time.
Neither his sister nor his father were the reason he was wandering alone, though. No. It was just a thing he did for fun, to discover more about his beautiful home. The Terra expanse was, indeed, expansive, and Keke found something new every day. To think that there was more beyond it's peaks! He looked forward to a life of adventure and excitement.
Today, he was following a strange scent, one he had never smelled before. It smelled alive, of light, blood, and metal, things he had never smelled all together before. And, being curious, he wanted to see what it was.
It had been a while since Xenosa had gone after the Vlidean. At one point she’d gone so often the wicked animals practically knew her by sight and smell but most of all they knew to avoid her at all costs. Older now, in her mid twenties, she figured she had the knowledge and strength to capture one of the birds again. So off she’d gone into the wild, looking to the highest tree tops and spying the youngest, meanest, and most colorful Vlidean she could find. A toothy smile appeared on her lips and she lowered her bag from her shoulder to the ground.
The Orderite had not been to this part yet, so as she dug through her pack for a net the birds watched her curiously but cautiously. Net in hand, Xenosa expanded her double set of wings from her back, bent her knees and launched herself into the trees after her target. The birds squawked and flew off in surprise before rallying together and gather to gang up on her. While Xenosa chased the young bird in front of her, a whole slew of them chased after her in an impressive areal display. But Xenosa was detertmined and she would catch this Vlidean.

Kekeovonnai heard a sound above him and looked up, intrigued, as a pink shape covered in some kind of uneven pelt flew by. Clothes! he realized, recognizing the strange things his father wore. it has four wings was his next realization. It's a magescan! was his conclusion.
His tail wiggled in excitement, and he called out a greeting, leaping with some degree of grace onto a nearby boulder and spreading his immature wings.
She – for she had that distinctive note to her odor that spoke of femaleness, not that he could otherwise tell – was chasing a Vildean, which was notable because they typically chased you. Well, they were doing that too.
Kekeovonnai wondered what she was doing and, to an extent, kind of wanted to join in. With an amateurish rumble, he gathered his magic in his mouth and tried to do that thing he knew he could do with it. Nothing.
So, instead, he picked up a pebble with his magic and tossed it at one of the Vildean. ”Are you playing chase?” he asked, as some of the Vildean, angered by the intrusions, turned and shrieked at him. He posed and wriggled playfully at them, ”Because I am joining the game, and it's one of my favorites!”
At the sound, Xenosa briefly glanced and noticed a Dragon shape, her hand went to her dagger but she relaxed once she noticed it was in fact only a Khehora. If she stopped now the Vlidean would certainly get to her, no she’d stopped by later. As her wings beat harder and faster than before, Xenosa finally threw the net with precision and caught the young Vlidean with ease. Done with that, she glanced behind her and noticed not all the older Vlideans were chasing her. Perhaps if they noticed they were two they wouldn’t approach them, it was worth a shot.
Xenosa continued to fly through the air, twirling and doing some aerial acrobatics until she spotted the Khehora again and aimed for him. The Orderite landed gracefully next to him, took out a few of her throwing daggers she kept between her fingers and offered the Khehora a wicked smile. The young Vlidean in the net squawked loudly trying to bite her through the net but was being unsuccessful. Knives in hand, Xenosa posed ready to throw daggers at the Vlidean. But it seemed the birds did not want to get involved with two people at once. They made angry noises and retreated to the tree tops and glared down at the introducers.

Keke determined the game was not chase, but something completely different. He grinned in return, sharp teeth revealed against his black scales, and arched his wings behind him for fully threatening effect.
He purred, pleased, as the Vildean flew away. He felt scary and powerful which was fun, though he knew it was an illusion. He padded over and looked down at the net, turning his head – too large on his devloping body – to the magescan woman.
”Hi!” he said, waving his tail as he settled his wings on his back. He inspected the struggling, angry Vildean. ”What is this game you are playing?” he asked, sniffing at the Vildean, who tried to claw at him, and only got tangled, ”Are you hunting?” if so, it was a very roundabout way of doing so, which only made him more intrigued. ”I heard magescans hunted, but I have never seen how!”
“Greetings,” Xenosa put her knives away hidden in the folds of her clothing on her body and relaxed her stance. “Not a game.” Observing the Khehora before her, he seemed young, his speech wasn’t fully developed yet and his body proportions looked like he was still growing into them. She shook her head at his next question. “Not hunting either.” She said, no Xenosa did not hunt she stalked and killed. Though that was probably not the type of thing that she was about to admit to anyone, Khehora included. She wondered why all the questions, he didn’t seem to know much about the world around him. “What are you doing here by yourself anyway?

Keke looked at the Vildean again, before tilting his head at Xenosa. ”Then... What is it?” he asked, curiously”I'm exploring! What are you doing?” he fired back, blinking his innocently inquisitive bright green eyes at her and sniffed at her briefly. ”Are you a Magescan?” he asked, watching her put away the sharp objects. What were those? What was she doing with them? Oooo, he wiggled with barely repressed glee, So many new things today!
The Orderite narrowed her eyes at him slightly; this was a very new Khehora indeed. “I’m getting myself a new pet. A Vlidean would serve my purposes very well.” Loyal and aggressive, a Vlidean would be able to deliver messages secretly to her contacts and would die before allowing anyone to grab her messages. That was if she trained it properly, otherwise it would be useless to her. “Yes I’m a Magescian.” She turned her back to him then, crouching down and staring at the bid, she took out a scrap of meat from her pocket and waved it in front of the Vlidean before taking a bit of the jerky. “Mmmmm.”

”Ooo, a pet?” Like his father had! How interesting, very interesting indeed! ”I didn't know magescans kept pets!” he said, watching her take the meat out of her... Why did she have meat hidden away? Carrying meat?! How smart!
”Wow! Goodness, wow!” he said, watching her, his young mouth inadvertently watering at the smell of the smoked meat – but it wasn't for him, it was for her pet. ”What kind of Magescan are you? Are you an...” He tried to remember what his father and the elders had taught him about the two leggers.
Dovaa had horns, Oblivionites had no eyes, and Orderites had wings.
Thus...
”An Orderite?” he asked, victoriously waving his tail, ”Are you from Soluuna?” he asked, ”The contident of light?” He thought it was Soluuna, anyway, he couldn't remember how it was pronounced. Soluuna, Sernia, Spoon... Oh well! He'd soon find out, right?
Xenosa glanced back at the Khehora and offered him a pointed stare. “Yes I guess like a pet.” What in the world, who was this kid anyway? She glanced down at the meat and offered him a piece, but not before waving it in front of the Vlidean before extending it out for the Khehora. “Yes I’m an Orderite, never seen one before huh? We’re from Serenia.” Dear goddess. Xenosa turned back to the Vlidean and gave it a piece of meat before removing the net, it looked tame enough. She offered it another piece of meat and it took it hungrily. “What’s your name kid?”
