Camelot did not often venture this close to the city, but he was looking for someone tonight.
Maybe he had a bit too much to drink back at 'home'. Or what passed for home nowadays. With half his family dead, a six year old daughter at home and a wife who was suffering under the strain of their losses, sometimes even the first Royal Knight, who had been in this game for over six years as that rank, got overwhelmed. He made bad decisions.
He found he was making them more and more, now that his son was dead.
It was not really fair to say dead. Technically, the man, the body, was still alive. It was just corrupted, controlled by Chaos, but without the mind, the person who know Camelot as family and loved so dearly, he could hardly say it was still his Nathan. Nathan was gone. And he always would be. Even if they managed to purify him again... there was no saying he would be the same. In fact, Camelot knew from experience that the strain on his starseed would scar him, somehow.
His son was dead. His step daughter was dead. His dog was dead.
He had managed to fall to fall to sleep and the nightmare hit him like a train. He could not escape it, and it overwhelmed him completely, leaving him shaking when he woke. Seeing them both, helpless, screaming for him, but he could not save them. He did not know if he even tried. He found his small stash of alcohol, had what he dared, and here he was, walking it off. He was sobering up by now, but he found himself too close to the city for comfort. He needed to get away from there, to power down, and to disappear.

A lone fourth stage Order aura in the city was strange enough that Cybele went out of her way to seek it out. It was a Knight, most likely, as the Senshi Princesses could pass as eternal, and he didn't seem to be trying to hide at all. It occurred to her that this might be some sort of trap about the same time he came into view. Hopefully, he and any powered down teammates around weren't the sort of knight that attacked Dark Mirror Senshi. Personally, she wasn't an enemy to Knights like some in her Court. They protected the Senshi and provided good information sometimes. She felt sorry for them, even. They were fighting a hopeless war and she couldn't help them. "Hello, um... Camelot?" The name was an educated guess, one she'd heard connected to 'Royal Knight of Earth' a few times. She thought she'd seen his face before, too. Her voice and expression were neutral. "Are you all right?" She was half concerned, half waiting for people to start powering up and jumping at her.

Camelot felt an aura approaching him and he tensed, summoning his shield and holding it in front of him, defensive but not overtly aggressive toward the stranger as they got closer. He was surprised to see a Dark Mirror Senshi, and one of a stronger power than he would have thought. They could mask themselves, where Royal Knights lacked the ability.
And she knew his name.
It should not have surprised him. His name was well known, for good and bad reasons, by good and bad people. He was the most experienced Royal Knight in the fight, the first one to have ever awakened in the city, back when times were much easier. He frowned at her, careful, but lowered his shield and nodded his head.
"Yes, I'm alright. I made a slight miscalculation coming here. I'm not looking for trouble with anyone, Miss..." he trailed off, hoping to prompt a name in response. He thought he might know her, but he could not place the name immediately. He wobbled a bit as he stood, still battling the effects of the alcohol he had let himself use as a crutch. Old habits died hard.

"Cybele. I'm Sailor Cybele, Dark Mirror Senshi of the Hunt." She curtsied. People didn't usually hide behind shields if they had allies waiting to attack you, so she felt a little better. Still, she wasn't sure what to think of him. Something seemed off. Not necessarily in a suspicious way, like she'd thought, but off. "Miscalculation?" Order was so careful, recently, and closer inspection revealed that he didn't look very good, no matter what he said. Maybe he was just having a bad day, there were plenty of bad days to go around, but still. She didn't feel like leaving him like this, and she definitely didn't feel like turning her back on a situation that was still fairly suspicious. "You shouldn't be powered up if you're not looking for trouble. I won't hurt you-" She didn't rush into fights over her head much anymore- "But it won't be long until a Negaverser feels your aura." She paused briefly before asking, "Where were you headed?" There was a mirror set up nearby and she was willing to help him out, as long as he wasn't headed to the Negaverse Headquarters or somewhere equally dangerous.

"Yes, I know. I'll power down when I'm away and safe. Unfortunately, Royal Knights cannot conceal their auras. I'm stuck like this, if I'm powered up, and I must be powered up if I want to be safe here." He sighed. It could some times be a tricky situation, a knight on the lamb with few options, but who needed to return to the worst place for him in order to help others.
Though tonight, he did not think he was out here for anyone but himself. He was looking for trouble, and had only just wizened up in time to get himself out of there without too much trouble. At least, he hoped that was the case.
She seemed to be offering him a way out without trouble, and that was welcomed. he knew that there were some trustworthy Dark Mirror Senshi out there, and he was glad to have found one of them. He wanted to promote and cultivate the trust between the two factions, so they might both survive.
"I was looking for a Negaverse General, to pick a fight, but I realize now that is a mistake. A reckless, stupid mistake. I am going to disappear from here instead, I can't tell you where." Their hide out needed to be kept secret, at all costs. He could not be followed or found, and he would never divulge its location if he did not have to.
"Why are you here tonight, Cybele? Are you patrolling for the Negaverse, or are you putting your neck out there, as well?"

Cybele nodded at his explanation but said nothing, silently thankful for her Chaos aura that didn't attract too much attention. In his situation, she probably would have powered down, despite all the dangers for civilians around, but it wasn't really her place to make that suggestion to someone of a different faction. He didn't need to think she was spying on him. At least he seemed to recognize that fighting the Negaverse was reckless and stupid. "Someone specific?" she asked, remembering only afterwards that grudges could be a bit personal. "Specific people are hard to track down, especially now. I used to be the Huntress, and even I usually ended up fighting whoever I could find." Those were days she didn't miss. He asked if she was patrolling for the Negaverse and she quickly shook her head. "But I don't do that anymore." She looked down and picked up a handful of her black skirt and overlay pointedly rather than expressly stating that she had corrupted. "I'm just looking for people to talk to, mostly. I kill youma if I see them, too." Actually, she was gathering energy, but he didn't need to know that. "I can take you to the outskirts, if you want," she offered, always up for gaining people's trust. The Order Base probably would have been a better offer, and she knew there were mirrors there that some of her Court used there, she wasn't sure exactly where they were. It would be a good idea to find out, in case she was in this kind of situation again.

" I don't like to fight. I'm letting my personal hurts catch up to me, I think. Get the better of my judgement. I want to hurt someone because they hurt me. Unfortunately, that is sort of what all wars boil down to, in the end, as that's the only reason most people have to keep fighting one another."
He sighed, running his hand through his hair and gathering himself. He was sobering enough to know that he was in a dangerous place, flashing his Royal Knight aura around like he was. It was not like he was a face in the crowd: his name was well known, and he would be hunted down like a dog if anyone discovered he was out and about.
He could not afford to be captured or hurt.
Her kindness and patience, though, was well noted and he smiled at her. "I wouldn't want to put you in danger, if we're discovered together. I can find my way back. I don't want to put you in more harm's way, though being here, I'm sure, isn't easy for you, either." Living on both sides of the mirror, so to speak, had to be very difficult.
"I did want to say, and have for a while... I'm very glad for the help we get from your faction, when we can. It means a lot to us all, and in some case it is the difference between surviving or letting the Negaverse continue their expanse. You are all risking so much, just to help us, and while it is hard for us to find a chance to tell you, or to return the favor, we do appreciate the help.

"Revenge?" He didn't really seem like the vengeful type to Cybele. Maybe he wasn't and that was why he'd turned back. So much had been taken in this war, so many people hurt and killed that even those not inclined towards revenge had to at least consider getting even. She certainly had a long list of people she would be hunting down if she didn't have more important things to do. "I understand. Once you start fighting, it's hard to stop, especially in wars. Especially in this war. I doubt the Negaverse would even accept a surrender, now. My court is trying to escape that by leaving the planet." She couldn't talk too much about the war without pitching the Dark Mirror, even to someone who couldn't join. Leaving now that the city was lost was the only option, and with the Court working tirelessly at it for years, it was going to happen soon. Definitely. She would have taken Camelot along if he could come. He seemed to understand. He didn't seem to want her help, though. Did he not trust her? She just sort of stood there awkwardly when he started praising her Court, though. Some of the Dark Mirror senshi spent a lot of their time helping order, she knew. She... hadn't approved, although this Knight was changing her mind a little. "I'll tell everyone you said that," she replied, putting on a nice smile.

"Well, I hope you find a way to be at peace, where ever you end up," he said, nodding his head. He would support the Dark Mirror court for what it was worth, as far as his help could go. He knew he was not the most useful to them, in the scheme of things, but if he could offer some small assists where he could, he would do that.
He sighed and ran a hand through his hair, trying to relax a bit. His head was starting to ache a bit, and now he just wanted to get home and be with his friends and family.
And maybe not tell anyone about what a bad choice he had made tonight.
"Well, I hope you stay safe, and that we can meet again on better terms. I'm not in the best head space or condition right now, and I'm sure I'm not making the best impression I could be." He bowed chivalrously, his usual demeanor coming back to him a bit more as he relaxed.
He did appreciate her offer to help him, and though he was determined to keep her safe and not drag her around too much with a knight aura as strong as his own, he would remember her offer. If, one day, she found herself in need, then Camelot would do his best to be there to help her. That was the basis of a friendship, as far as he was concerned, and he would always be open to those.

"Peace?" It wasn't a concept Cybele had considered in a while, although she supposed that it was what she was working towards now. She wished she could say something similar in return, but her hope for Order had died a long time ago. Instead, she said, "Thank you," managing to keep a small smile on her face. She did appreciate his kind words. However... if he was trying to make her feel better, it wasn't working. "No, no... you're not angry or dying or trying to kill me, so the impression you're making could have been far worse, it's just..." she took a step towards him, not that it would really help anything, smile replaced by a small, worried frown. "Are you sure you're all right? Are you sure you can make it back?" Her worry wasn't really necessary. She'd made her good impression, what happened to Camelot next was none of her concern, but... Being appreciated, even by someone who she considered an enemy, was enough to trigger her guardian instincts, it seemed. She curtsied deeply when he bowed, then glanced in the direction of downtown. Nobody seemed to be around, but that could change quickly when someone was radiating this much energy. "You should go, then. I'll make sure no one follows you."

stari_maga FIN from me. If you want another RP with any of my folks just let me know =] "Thank you. I won't forget your kindness. If you ever have need for a Knight of Earth, I will do my best to aid you."
He nodded his head, a smaller bow, one more time before he turned and moved to flee. He was fast, due to his rank, and he knew that he had made a mistake coming out here tonight. It had, at least, not gone as badly as it could have, and for that he was thankful. While he was always at the service of anyone who needed him, when he made a personal offer of service he did his damn best to fulfill his promises.
Once he was far enough away, he powered down and continued the rest of his trip back toward the camp as a civilian with a limp, so no one could follow his large aura. Unlike other fourth ranks, royal knights lacked the ability to return to their third stage ranks and auras. And he didn't have a cat with him.
He could not help but worry about Cybele as he went, hoping that she would be alright, and that no one had witnessed the two of them speaking. That could put her in danger, and he would not be able to forgive himself if that happened.
