Tiny VisitorEver's room was in first floor, luckily it was just a staircase up, so besides the laptop, she brought herself with some snacks too. She treated the laptop very careful because the Life Assistant was too nice to lend his precious asset to her. So she didn't pile up the snacks on top of it, but carried a backpack with her. The long list of anime reflected how excited the petite Asian was, Ever was gonna suffer from the "anime marathon" he didn't expect to have. However, since he asked, Shu would only give him the best lecture he could have. "Mr. Ever, are you home?" She knocked his door with the way the Little Red Riding Hood did when visiting her grandmother. "I bring anime and snacks! Are you busy? Can I come in?" and be blue Blue~ *purrs at* Since you went to bed, I made the decision on behalf of you~ 1) Shu is visiting Ever's room 2) RP in drabble format, so that Ever can ask whatever questions he wanted from any of the animes on our list OUO/

Tiny VisitorIt was probably his own fault she was showing up at his door instead of messaging him first -- after all, Ever hadn't checked Twitter in weeks, not since his conversation with America about the pointlessness of doing the same things over and over. And nothing on there seemed to change, not really. Theoretically, there was a statement to be made, here. Realistically, he'd just forgotten it existed. In either case, the girl was at his door now and there was a pause after she knocked on 104's door before Ever opened it -- wearing only a pair of jeans and still shrugging, slowly, into a clean-enough shirt. The flash of torso she got wasn't much to look at: pale, scrawny, and disappearing quickly under a splash of graphic tee. "Uh. Hi." A pause, not quite awkward, before he smiled at her: the smile all at once, showing all of his teeth. "I'm not busy. Don't just stand in the hall -- " And he stepped back to let her in, twisting as he did to shove bags from his recent shopping trip with Cee into one corner of the room, and spread his fresh blanket [crocheted, more old lady than twenty-something young man] over the end of the bed. She was lucky he was out of the basement: this room was much homier than B46 had been. It still wasn't much, but at least it wasn't dank. meegane she can come in and then we can do various anime drabbles?! The List for my ref.

Tiny VisitorThe super excited girl forgot to message Ever she was coming, because - she was simple too excited. It was her fault, not his. Shu was able to peek how the hunter suffered from malnutrition, and Ever was gonna suffered from being stuffed with snacks, or wait, not so healthy, low fat cookies and cakes. "Hello, Mr. Ever, hope I am not bothering you." The cheerful girl beamed. "Your shirt looks nice, you recently had your leaves?" She stepped in, looking around every single corner of the room, it was surely much better than her room, more spacious, lighter and well-equipped. "Your room looks comfortable~"

Set upAfter putting down the laptop, she skillfully set up the laptop, opened the file where all the anime were holding, with a peek, Ever could see how many sub files with name on each. She responded his curiosity with a bright smile. "Mr. Dwight is great, right? Look how convenient and neat it is and he did it for free." The handsome Asian had an important position in her heart, the unexplained good feeling of him even they were not even close. She was just confused about one thing - Why he acted so mean to Rep? "So what kind do you wanna start with?" She went through the files like a little professional, and counted him some of the genres. "Magical girl? Fantasy? Adventure plus detective? Supernatural? Slice of Life? Action? Mystery? Shounen? Crime? Thriller?" She listed out many many possibilities and then looked at Ever with a smile, waiting.

Cartoon V.S. Anime"Mr. Ever! Anime is not Cartoon! Please be careful of their differences." The girl rolled her amber eyes big at the hunter, stood up.

Break timeThere was too much in a day for Ever, she would even see what he might be thinking, they were all written on his face. Shu sighed, pondering if she picked the wrong choices for the hunter, might be he just want cartoons. "Let's have a break, Mr. Ever." She unzipped her backpack, and put some snacks out, candies and chips and so on. "I brought some snacks to eat." The girl smiled.

Indifference and DifferenceHe'd miss the start of whatever she played first: a series, it seemed, judging from just how much of it there was. But at least he'd miss it for a considerate reason, quickly working to smooth blankets and clean up a bit of lingering mess so that Shu wouldn't have to sit in the heart of a messy man-cave. It probably annoyed her, just a little, and Ever pretended not to notice. After all, he'd settle next to her eventually, not-quite-touching, to stare at the screen in a puzzled sort of way and try to figure out what he'd miss. And at least he didn't ask her to explain.

Do you mind?Somewhere around the third episode, his fidgety tapping of a pack of cigarettes against his knee turned to actually sliding one free. It would be halfway to Ever's mouth before he paused, blinking at Shu like he'd all but forgotten she was there, lime-green plastic lighter in his hand but the thing not actually kindled. "Uh." It was his room, but she was so young, and so cute, and a guest. So he hesitated. "...do you mind?"

Gay SwimmingAt least this one caught his attention, and held it, Ever's eyebrows raising up toward his hairline as he relaxed back on the bed: long legs stretched out and half-twisted so that he could watch Free over Shu's shoulder. By now, they were more companionable, comfortable, his head cocked to the side. No more fidgeting or sliding away to find a distraction, just watching, and laughing when appropriate, and -- At a pause, his eyes would settle on her instead, torn between amusement and confusion. "Okay, but is this supposed to be gayer than I am?"

Cartoon V.S. AnimeShu was surprisingly scolding: enough to drive her up to her feet, and that made Ever blink up at her, somewhat confused. It had been an innocent enough question, he thought, and he didn't quite see what had made her so -- well. Strident. Annoyed. Angry even? "Sorry?" It wasn't a proper apology if it went up at the end like that. And his next comment didn't help either, "What exactly is the difference?"

Indifference and DifferenceAnime was important, but not at a higher priority than the hunter sat next to her. Moreover, except some of the latest one, she focused on choosing that she already saw most of them but didn't mind to watch again. By doing so, she could explain any of his questions or queries, that was her intention. Furthermore, she saw some of them more than twice just to understand the personality of a certain character better in order to get closer to the essence of them and make her cosplay more lively. Therefore, even she was watching the screen of the laptop, she would perceive what Ever doing at a glance. His kindness as well as the puzzled look on his face was well noted that the girl made a gentle curve of her mouth, with a bit of roguishness. She was waiting for him to take action.

Do you mind?Even her eyes were looking at the screen, part of her attention was shifted to the hunter next to her. Shu blinked in a denser frequency than she usually does, but it wasn't something really unnatural. Because of some reasons, the hunter was a little bit uneasy. She loved to observe quietly and raised questions when needed, so when Ever picked out the pack, the girl could linked things together, action and reason. Shu gave Ever a bright smile and was pleased by his courtesy, "Hmm? Nope, please go ahead." Mr. Thompson was a smoker too, although she didn't really enjoy the smell, it didn't really a bother and it would be very rude to say so. She watched as Ever lit a cigarette and breathed out a cloud of smoke, that reminded her of the caterpillar in the Wonderland dream. Shu was curious about something that she stared at the man interestingly, it lasted for a while with the background noise from the anime playing. "Were you in the Wonderland?" The petite Asian wanted to know if the podded people will be sent to the collective dream or not.

Gay Swimming"Hmm? This?" Shu turned her head back. "It's a good anime right? Free! is about swimming, slice of life, sports mixed with comedy." The girl pointed to the screen, "This boy, Haruka and this boy, Makoto are really good friends, friendship and passion for swimming are what it's all about. And then there is another boy named Rin, this one with shark-tooth from another school as the rival character." The screen played the scene of the boy named Haruka took off his clothes and instantly jumped into the water. Shu paused her explanation and rolled her eyes. "Hmm, review said that the highlights of this anime include handsome cute boys, the feel of summer and abs and muscles....so- you will see a lot of these kinds of scenes..." The petite Death huntress continued to introduce Ever about the great points of the swimming anime while she suddenly paused again. "Did you say gayer than yourselfffffff?" Her mouth was opened unnaturally big. "Er-Hmm they don't show any intention to be gay....Hmm it's more than friendship...er...but it seldom shows important female character besides Gou....I can't say you are wrong...." The more she said, the less confident she was. Who can't see that Haruka and Makoto have a very very close relationship? It's so obvious! Shu's face turned a little red out of panic, this didn't suppose to be mainly about romance, but more about sports and seisyun. She just wanna watch some handsome cute swimming boys, but didn't expect it will get her into this kind of embarrassment, she didn't want Ever to have a bad impression of anime. "Er....which is your favourite?" She felt herself asked a stupid question but anything worked as a distraction was fine.

Cartoon V.S. AnimeThe apology cooled her down, Shu changed from a tiny angry bunny that might kick with hind leg to a girl that made a sigh as she sat down. "I-I overreacted, sorry." She didn't mean to startle Ever at all. Shu located the excel software on the laptop and open a new spreadsheet to draw a table. If she gonna just talk, he won't be able to catch up with all of the new information suddenly. "Let's use a table to compare them generally in several aspects. The first and most obvious difference is the origin. Cartoon, generally refers to western animation, whereas anime is japan animation." Her hands danced on the keyboard as she talked. "Secondly, style. As you can see, anime characters are more detailed in their overall design and facial expressions. The lines used are much simpler in cartoon, let's say: Disney princess and any of these. You can feel how different they are." She pushed her glasses up with a finger. "Next, it's the target audience: Cartoon is mainly for younger generation." Shu paused and looked at Ever with a pout. "I know there are some so-called adult cartoons, but sorry, I don't count them as official cartoons, they might fit every definition under cartoon, but failed the most important key - cartoon is for kids." The girl seemed to have grievances on that. "And anime targets for older audience because it can involve more mature content, dark negative emotions, sensitive matter, violence to deliver some more comlicated messages. Most of the time, they have a story plot to tell while cartoon that TARGETS KIDS usually have a light theme, mainly for a good laugh and maybe comical." "Ok, another point is attention span. Cartoon is mainly for short span of attention, you might treat each episode a separate one while anime, each episode is linked with each other, if you miss an episode, you might find it difficult to follow." She continued to type when she elaborated her viewpoints on the comparison, creating more rows on the table. "Do you need a small break to absorb the information?" She pushed her glasses for a second time and asked with a smile. If he didn't say anything, Ever's private lesson on the difference of anime and cartoon would go on until Shu couldn't think of more points.

Gay SwimmingHe should have been kind: should have backed off at her stammering and obvious discomfort. Instead it made him smile, slowly, a flash of teeth in his face, focused on the girl instead of the screen -- and his eyebrows raised, just faintly. She was so young, and there was something about that edge of embarrassment that Ever couldn't quite let go -- "I like the gay ones, I think." A flicker look to the screen, then back to her -- trying and failing to smother his grin. "Though it'd be better if they didn't look quite so twinky."
