Mona's blue eyes were focused on the small black shape in the sky as he raced around. Seeing his little motion she nodded to her companions, the quirky younger mare who was her aunt, and her aunt's mate who was... equally quirky. "We can go now." She said softly, her musical voice lifting as she lifted her large pregnant self to her hooves and started up the hill to meet her mate, who was their protector and self appointed leader.

Karia bounced up, her twin tails flouncing as she nudged her mate and their little horde of treasure, knick knacks and things they had gathered along the way, and began up the hill, apparently not encumbered by the extra weight she was carrying as she was pregnant as well, though not near as much so as her niece Mona.

Lisa buzzed up the hill, quickly going ahead of Mona and up the hill to the dark male who she loved to pester and sit on, since she was trying to keep Mona from carrying too much weight for now. She grinned as she found her way to the male and zipped to his back, nestling just at the base of his neck.

Raven thumped the ground as he landed beside his very pregnant mate. "Well hello darling," he purred. She was the most amazing mare and he felt more for her then ANYTHING by quite a ways. He inhaled, breathing in her perfect, perfect scent. "I love you," he whispered.

She was a tough little fighter, full of child and marching right along like a little soldier. He couldn't be more proud of his Mona.

Raven smiled when Lisa landed up there, he would admit to no one else beside the little Tazfae and Mona that he liked her up there, all warm and fuzzy.

Mona smiled up at her mate, her sweet eyes shining with the affection and the care she felt for the dark male. "I love you more." She said warmly, nuzzling him as Lisa nestled into his shoulders. She chuckled at the little Tazfae who had comforted her when she needed it, and who would also be the foals' guardian. "Shall we bed down here for the day?" She asked, looking back at her aunt and uncle.

Mona watched her aunt and uncle with a soft smile on her face as she cuddled beneath her mate's wing, feeling his warmth and heart beating with his love for her. "Well my father told me of the Northern Forest. Not many dwell their for some reason or another. It would definitely be safe for two broods." She replied to her mate's question, looking up and nudging Lisa, who was snoring softly from her perch.

Karia nodded at Raven's question and Mona's answer. "Yes, Damir told us of the place plenty of times, though it's also mentioned in a legend, though I do not think it is very true expect for the forest being abandoned by azrein." She murmured, pressing her nose to Kivosk's shoulder and nuzzling him.

Karia nuzzled her mate as she snuggled closer to him, nodding at Mona so she would go ahead and tell the story.

Mona nuzzled Raven before looking off into the sunset as she recited everything she could remember that her father used to tell her and Kamryn. Once upon a time, when the Isle itself was alive and growing, there lived a young Stallion who was as careless as a spring storm. He was free as a bird and gallivanted about with no worries that plagued him, nor responsibilities to bear. He would spend his days as he liked, running, climbing, exploring, and doing things that young stallions are apt to do.

However, this stallion was foolish, for he made a terrible mistake one night. Disobeying what his mother taught him from a young age, he ventured out in the midst of a raging storm, gleeful and happy as could be. But it was all for naught, because in the middle of a wet and grassy field, he was struck by a blast of lightening which landed him on the forest floor where he fell into a deep, dark slumber.

It was in this sleep that the God's cursed the foolish stallion for hurting the trees and forest animals in the midst of his gallivanting, and caused him to see everything from the creation of the world to the end. This knowledge pained him so, and caused him to remain asleep for many many years.

When the foolish stallion finally awoke, he realized he was not alone and that something was different. When he stood, his antlers felt heavy and thick, and when he looked up...! He was attached to the tree! His antlers and the limbs of a tree that had grown while he was sleeping had merged, both in material, and in nerve systems. He could feel the heartbeat of the forest around him. He could feel what they felt, from their joy, to their sorrows, to their pain. His curse was completed.

When he tried to remember what had happened he found he couldn't remember anything past when he woke up and found that he was part of the tree. Not the visions that the gods sent him, nor his own birth, if he was even born, that is.

And that, is how the Foolish Stallion came to be, and also why you should respect all life, regardless of what kind it is. "

A yawn escaped Karia's maw before she spoke. "Do you think any of that story is true, Mona? I know Brother never really said, though I think he believed it..." She asked softly.

Mona shrugged. "I don't know... Part of me would like to believe it.." She looked at the mates. "What do you guys think?"

Mona giggled and lightly nuzzled her mate. "You should know better than to underestimate others, my love." She smiled at him, her blue eyes holding mirth in his reaction.

Karia beamed at her mate. "Well said, Ki. I knew I chose you for a reason.' her nose wrinkled in her grin as she shifted lightly, feeling the discomfort of pregnancy already.
