There was a portal, open and waiting for the three well dressed female hunters to enter. It led straight to the private room reserved for the bride, in a large and garish building called Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel. There was no doubt what was about to happen - the ridiculous light up sign at the front of the building continued to blare, in garish blinking lights, ROBERT AND MIMSY 7/29
But none of them would see that until after, and a lot of people wouldn't see it at all. It was 3 in the morning, a time of night where the chapel itself was usually closed for business, but Robert had bribed enough to get them to make a special exception - which minimized the amount of people involved, for their own well being. In fact the only person in the building other than Robert and Jordan, was Elvis himself - fully dressed and made up, but a little less hunka-hunka than usual. After all, it was way past his bedtime.
"I wanna thank you again man, I know this ain't easy, I hope we made it worth your while." Robert reached out and patted Elvis's shoulder, and received a solid nod in return.
"Well uh, don't you worry none about that mister, with how much you guys are payin' me, I can close up shop tomorrow and sleep the rest of the day, uh huh."
Robert turned around and started to get giddy all over again, because
1. He was getting married today. 2. He was getting married by ELVIS.
"Are you seeing this Jordan, are you SEEING THIS-" He jumped up and down a little.
OOC
The wedding is set in this part of the chapel, outside: Outdoor Nighttime Garden Jordan and Robert are already there with the Elvis impersonator, the three ladies have yet to make the portal jump which will start everything.

Robert's enthusiasm was contagious, and Jordan smiled a little. He'd dressed well for the occasion, putting on a good suit and tie. He should probably be cheerful, but he couldn't quite make that happen; he could, however, manage smiling. He wasn't going to dampen Robert's excitement. "I'm seeing this," he answered, amused. "Hard to miss with that many sequins and lights."
Until a very recent point in time, weddings had been wholly unimportant to Mimsy. Wonderland had always had a way of encouraging her to see the extraordinary in the ordinary, however, and the multiple ceremonies that she and Robert held during their time there were so effortlessly flawless that a seed of approval for the tradition was planted in her mind. That seed sprouted a very wrong idea of how weddings worked, which had been blissfully and obliviously followed until the invited participants began to ask questions about dresses and colors and catering.
It did not take long for her to discover that weddings did not just typically happen as they had in Wonderland. If anything, they certainly did not include spontaneously regenerating cakes or rings made from some sort of mysterious alchemy.
Thankfully, it could include people of importance who had a much better understanding of the way this worked. Between the assistance so helpfully provided from Shu and Cami, she had managed to adequately prepare herself for this (sixth) venture into married life, and she was even wearing white, which was a bit of a feat in itself. But here was only so far that the attempts at appearing to possess any amount of human normality extended - the white roses that adorned her hair and bouquet had been visibly painted red, which she thought had been quite the clever homage.
Despite the distinct anchor to reality a wedding in the 'civilian world' held, she still carried evidence that mirrored the previous weddings in another existence. Svensyl held a place of honor, his cameo totem pridefully pinned at the base of her throat, and Lucky was once again as present as he could be, in the form of a picture tucked under her arm (though she did peek over her shoulder several times, just to see if he might somehow be there). As promised, Shu was with her this time, playing the part of their flower girl with such impressive accuracy that she couldn't help pridefully smiling every time she caught a glimpse of her. She would have made ALICE proud, too.
No, surely did make her proud. Mimsy felt confident that she would be in attendance in her own way, and there was no possible scenario where Shu would go unnoticed.
For all of the significance that the symbols and correlations with Wonderland carried, there was someone of a newfound significance on her side opposite Shu. Cami, her sister, who had volunteered with immediacy to assist her with selecting a dress, who volunteered with immediacy to assist her with anything. It puzzled her on many occasions, but not now; today it didn't matter what the motivations were. Today was a special instance, where having those of greatest importance to her and Robert in attendance was more crucial than any of that. The purpose of this was to be together, which extended to more than just the two of them.
With the portal open in front of her, she reached to hold their hands, her fingers trembling with a level of excitement she didn't typically show. She glanced between them, smile growing as she took a deep breath, and squeezed their hands as she exhaled.
"I would like to emphasize once more how pleased I am to have both of you here, as my family and wedding party," she said, for probably the tenth variation she'd expressed of the sentiment so far. The first mention of said gratitude for their presence had accompanied a gift for each of them: a glowingpocket watch for Shu, meant as a well-intentioned replacement for the one she had carried in Wonderland, and a necklace of forget-me-nots for Cami, of multifaceted significance. "And I hope that this marks the first of many occasions which we will attend as family, for many years and realities to come."
She squeezed their hands again, eyes widening as she began to tug them forward.
"We should go now! Little rabbits should never be late, and I presume that my most superior maid of honor would not want to prevent me from uniting with my husband, due to the counterintuitive nature of such an act!" With another more urgent tug on their arms, she disappeared through the portal, stepping farther into a rabbit hole that she was never coming out of again.

This was utterly surreal. Cami had known that coming to Deus meant leaving behind what she'd known but she'd never had any idea that what she'd be getting was better than what she'd lost. The trials and tribulations of being a hunter could not be discounted. They were serious things that had to be taken seriously. Yet between Otto, Maebe, and Mimsy? It all became worth it. She had a true best friend, a lover, a sister. Third of those was most important because it was a link to who she had been and a link to who she wanted to be.
Having been asked to be Mimsy's Maid of Honor was an honor (haha) that she'd never expected to have in life. Camille had had friends but never ones that were the marrying kind and, if they were, they had people who were much closer to them than she had been. They had sisters, blood or otherwise, to give that title to.
It had been shocking to realize that Mimsy, despite being on her sixth wedding, had not known much about planning one. Had no idea how to pick a traditional wedding dress, the reason that she had to choose colors so that they knew what to wear, and it had sent her into a flurry of planning. Unsurprisingly Cami had found the whole thing to be incredibly fun and looked forward to making each wedding different from the last, if she were permitted to be involved in future ones.
She wasn't silly enough to think that six was going to be enough for this couple.
Feeling her sister's hand tremble, the uncharacteristically wide smile of excitement made everything in the world worthwhile. She wanted to reach out and hug Mimsy, knew she was going to turn into a ball of tears during the ceremony simply because she was there, and tried to hold off now. "You couldn't have kept me away, Mimsy. I understand that being invited is of utmost importance but I would have been a wedding crasher if I had to be. You're my sister and I am so happy to be here with you." There was no resistance at all as she was tugged forward through the portal and into the lights and sounds of Las Vegas.
Elvis, momentarily revived by Jordan's comment, thrust his hips and gun-pointed his hands, while shaking those sequins for good measure. Robert giggled like a (very deeply pitched) school-girl and clapped his hands, but Elvis did not hold his attention as much as his best friend did. Not a moment went by - even the moments where he was freaking out about Elvis - when he did not ache with understanding for the ordeal this must be for Jordan. He wished that the timing hadn't been so awful, but life did not work out on anyone's schedule.
It only made him more grateful that Jordan had agreed, and come to stand by him despite it all. But he knew he would - because Jordan was the paramount of what a friend should be. He'd learned that word yesterday on his toilet word paper. Paramount.
He wrapped his friend up in a giant hug. "Thank you so much, man." He muttered, already getting emotional.
Elvis was just tired enough to forget who he was married, and in his Elvis voice, he started - "Dearly beloved,"
Robert let go of Jordan so fast it was jarring. "Jumping the gun Elvis, the bride ain't here yet."

Finally she had the chance to fulfill one of her dreams - being someone's flower girl. Shu was excited and delighted more than she expected as the couple was Mimsy and Robert. The girl knew the real world's wedding wouldn't be as magical as in the Wonderland, where she and waifu married to the Death Lead puppet, so she had been planning something ever since she knew that.
The petite Asian made special request to take her monthly leave earlier, picking the things she needed for her plan and browsed the internet for dresses and so on, she brought back some wedding magazines so that the three could discuss the most perfect wedding dress for the special day..or night.
From what she heard from the couple, the venue was a beautiful outdoor garden at night time, decorated with warm soft lights and candles that resembled Mimsy's favourite - stars. Robert had been showing them pictures of the garden and chattered about how lovely and wonderful it was, frankly, it was really a good pick, but Shu wondered whose idea it was. Anyway, she was glad to join in the wedding planning, it felt so warm.
She left the old family and regained a new one, and shortly accepted as one of their member, the girl full of gratitude really hope to thank you them. So she took this great opportunity to assist them and make the wedding the most wonderful one.
Six? In normal people's logical, it was really weird, but not to Shu. As long as they felt happy for it, why not? Number doesn't matter, each wedding is crucial for the purpose of spreading the happiness.
The petite Asian was never a night owl, yet, from the day she knew it was going to be carried out at midnight, she forced herself to gain more sleeping time. That was why, despite she was yawn during the make up and hair half-updo, she was quite energetic. It was a bliss that Mimsy approved her little request of having a hair makeover. She might project what her sister could do onto Mimsy that she asked, but Shu didn't think it was a problem for the clever huntress. She enjoyed her hair being caressed and brushed by someone she liked.
They gathered at the portal, well dressed, hands squished back to the excited bride, as if telling her "you're so gorgeous today, don't worry". A sweet and warm smile was returned. "Oh my a present for me? Ohhhh it - it is -" Must not cry and ruin your make up, Shu. The flower girl took a deep breathe to suppress the desire. "That's the best watch in the world, I'm sure! Thank you so much, you're such - such a sweet - sweet person, you can read mind right?" She made an attempt to joke, relaxing the rising feels. "Thank you for accepting me into your family, it's my luck and pleasure." She felt her nose a bit sore and sniffed.
There was a little interlude before they stepped through the portal, the flower girl yelled and made them waited for a while before she re-appeared again, holding a long paper shopping bag in her return. "Sorry for that, we can go now."
================================ I am the dividing line =============================
"Robert, you look so handsome today! And Jordan Sensei, you too! I am glad that you are here too, can you spare me a few seconds?" Without Robert's content, the handsome Sun Hunter was dragged aside and given something, Shu asked him to stoop a bit and whispered to him. "Ok?"
Then, the next one to be dragged away was Cami, her excuse was they were gonna check the decoration to make sure everything was fine, and that Mimsy should spend her time with her perfect groom. When they were keeping a distance from all the people, she talked in a low voice to the pretty Maid of Honour. "That's it, here you are." The flower girl handed her a same item that she gave to Jordan.
With the bride and groom spending their attention fully onto each other, the flower girl busily ran back and forth in the venue, putting things here and there. It was a bit suspicious and weird in the sense if someone see that, Shu who feels the attention would reply with bright smile and a finger near her mouth with a sweet mischief smile.
Jordan actually laughed a little as Robert let go hastily, and tugged his suit back into place. He might tease Robert about it at some unspecified future point (when Mimsy wasn't anywhere within earshot, so as not to cause any unfortunate misunderstandings, of course). "Yeah, man, I'm not pretty enough to be the bride here."
A pensive moment washed over him, and he looked up into the night sky, where the stars had been washed out by the light pollution of the city, and was silently grateful that this particular chapel had worked hard to pretend that the small garden venue was a little world tucked away from the Strip. From here he couldn't see neon or the street, and that was enough to hold off some of the intensity of the associations this city held for him, in this world or another. He wouldn't be coming back here voluntarily, not after tonight, but this was important.
Shu's arrival distracted him, and he smiled at the petite girl. "You look lovely today, Shu," he told her, and let himself be dragged aside, listening to her request attentively. He nodded and took what she handed to him, tucking it into a pocket before wandering back toward the group.

The immediate response concerning how pretty Jordan actually was bubbled up Robert's throat, ready to spew out thoughtlessly - but something stopped him. It wasn't Shu, it was just a single, solitary moment of actual common sense.
It was gone in a flash.
"SHU!" Robert screamed, reaching out to try and grab the girl for a hug. She was focused on Jordan, however - dragging him off and leaving him alone at the altar for a moment. His hands were still held out, waiting for a hug that would never come, and he looked pretty forlorn about it.
His little flower girl was keeping busy. And his hands dropped down to rest behind his back, folding impatiently as he waited - and stole glances at Elvis - and maybe gyrated his hips a little, because Elvis was doing it too - when it happened.
The girls were in the back, preparing to enter the room, and without meaning to, Robert caught a glimpse of something he would never forget for the rest of his life.
She was partially obscured by decorations and part of the door, but she was there, preparing with her maid of honor and her flower girl to walk down the silly little room's aisle. His hands were still behind his back, but they clutched painfully.
Everything around him stopped. His vision focused, to a pinpoint, on what little he could see of her, and he stopped breathing. Because as much as they'd already toyed with the idea, and as much as they'd already said they were married, there was nothing - nothing at all - that could prepare him for this moment.
The moment Mimsy Kercher walked down an aisle, wearing white, to marry Robert Morris.
That moment didn't exist in rational thought, so rational thought ceased, and he lost himself in the wonder of such an obviously hallucinatory day. Mimsy Kercher would never marry Robert Morris. Mimsy would never love this dumb, bumbling fool. That was reality, and this was just a dream.
Robert's face burned with such bright pride that it hurt to smile as hard as he did, as he rejected reality and substituted it with this new world of his own.
This was his Wonderland. She was his Wonderland. All she had to do was walk down that aisle and take his hand, to make it real, forever.
Once they had safely made it to the other side of the portal, Mimsy hesitantly released their hands, momentarily lingering close in case she felt the urge to snatch them up again. That didn't happen; now that they had arrived at the venue, a new list of concerns and requirements rose to take the place of what they had just completed.
"All right! Are you ready?" As she addressed the two of them, she was already busy quadruple-checking for the presence of each 'something' as dictated by the rhyming rules for good fortune. After verifying that they were all there, she glanced out towards the altar, intending to briefly note that everyone was where they should be.
But just a glimpse through the door brought a tightness to her chest, reminiscent of days reigned by oblivious uncertainty. It had been so difficult to even look at him then, restrained with unfounded fears that had long since dissolved, frozen with a hesitant refusal that fought actively against any progress that she--they--had attempted to make. Despite all of the research and projections and intricately planned timelines, none of it had been as simple in the moment as theories made it seem.
Now just the sight of him through the foliage had been enough to capture her undivided attention - she stopped everything to peer out at him, retaining partial cover, even if there was no use in ever hiding from him. An absent, entirely unintentional smile slowly spread across her lips, and she sighed almost dreamily through the heavy intoxication of unparalleled success.
It was a possibly disorienting visual to those in attendance who knew her.
She remained lost in that state until the sound of music startled her out of it, and returned to the present with an awkward splutter and a sharp cough. Promptly, the distinction of whether or not it was the song was entirely forgotten, in spite of the efforts she had put forth to ensure that she would do all of this perfectly, just as it was supposed to be done. But this was their wedding, and she could eschew rules all she wanted to, because the only thing of importance was that she was here and needed to be there. Right now.
The dress was more than a slight impediment, but she still managed to rather respectably bolt down the short aisle towards Robert, trailing painted rose petals behind her as the movement freed them from the flowers in her hair and bouquet. When she made it to the end of the aisle, she dropped the bouquet and threw her arms around him, wide eyes staring up into his through half of a skewed veil.
"Hello," she breathlessly greeted him, before turning to speak to the priest. "I would like to take this husband now, please."
