Haumea disliked sticking close to town for his energy draining needs. But in this instance, he'd really had no choice since the summer concert series had made the park a little too crowded for his tastes. He'd hardly be doing the Negaverse any good if he went and got himself chased by cops for harassing concert goers, after all. And really, as long as he stuck to the shadows and kept his ears open, he would be all right.
As the thought crossed his head, an older woman walked by, clearly lost in her own sad thoughts with silent tears leaking down her face. Haumea felt a stab of pity and then simple pragmatism. She was alone, distraught and not paying attention to anything around her. Perfect harvesting source.
Slipping into step behind her, he waited until she was just passing a darkened alleyway and leapt forward, hand closing over her mouth as he pulled her into the shadows.
"Quiet now, miss," he murmured as he concentrated on pulling the energy from her body. "I'm not going to hurt you. I'm simply taking donations for a great cause."

Aludra generally disliked patrolling too far into town, but her mother had let her catch the bus by herself to go buy a new hairpin and it had seemed prudent to at least power up once to see if everything was fine (it also made getting back to the bus stop waaaay faster). Unfortunately it wasn't… She was in time to catch sight of the old lady being dragged down the alley and immediately abandoned her shopping on the street. Her heart was thundering in her chest but this was her duty, she couldn't run away. If her last battle had taught her anything, it was that she could get it right and things could go her way. The chibi entered the dark alley with a determined expression. "Stop! Let her go!"

The sudden flare of an sweetly pure aura made Haumea groan even as he drew his hand away from his victim, leaving her swooning and dazed. Carefully, he leaned her against the alley wall and let her slide into a sitting position. He hadn't taken as much as he'd wanted, but if he had to run, he didn't want to leave an old lady alone and defenseless in an alley. Better if she recovered enough to get out under her own power.
"Honestly, can't a guy do his job around here without being interupted?" he grumbled, turning around. It took a moment for his jaw to drop from the sheer shock of what he was confronted with.
"A kid? Are you kidding me? They're letting a little kid fight?"

Aludra was relieved when the Corrupt put his victim carefully aside. She didn't miss how gently he did it and it gave her hope of getting out of here without a fight. Though she was supremely annoyed when he called her a ‘little kid’. Yes she was rather small and only thirteen but that didn't mean she was useless. She’d been doing this for a whole year now and she wasn't just going to roll over and let someone get hurt. "You have to leave right now," she declared, taking a step forward.

Still aghast at what he was seeing, Haumea stood where he was and shook his head. Okay, sure, he'd heard a little about the kid senshi, but to actually see one. As far as he was concerned it was one more mark against his former brethren. War was no place for kids. Ever. It was sickening. And it went one more step to proving that the Negaverse was telling the truth about the war and how the white moon was prolonging it.
He didn't want to hurt a kid, but neither was he about to let one order him about either.
"No. I don't think so. Go home, kid. This is no place for you."

The Senshi’s gaze darted to the old woman resting against the wall. Her mind spun backwards; weeks, months, almost a year now, to a man on a park benched, slumped over- he’s just drunk. Aludra sighed at the memory and the fresh realization and then sent it away with a shake of her head. "If you don’t leave, I’ll make you leave," but now she sounded more sad than angry, her hand lifting in preparation for an attack. "Please."

Haumea saw the girl's eyes dart to the old lady he'd grabbed and wondered what was going through her head. Probably thinks I'm going to rip out the lady's heart Temple of Doom style, he thought gloomily. Still, he topped the kid by a couple of feet at least and he refused to go taking orders from a child who'd been recruited into a war by a bunch of lying assholes.
Crossing his arms and setting his jaw in grim determination, Haumea glared back.
"Kid, go home. This is no place for you."

All she wanted was for him to walk away, so she could look after the poor old lady and nobody else would have to get hurt. The truth was that she didn't actually want to fight but if he was going to be so darn stubborn about moving, well, her power was well designed for that. Her temper flared when once again called her a kid and she gave a childish stomp of her foot, an action she immediately regretted. Aludra pointed accusingly past him at the lady. "Don’t you feel bad about what you've done? Just go away and let me help her. Just because you’re older, doesn't mean you’re better than me."

Oh, this was gonna get old real fast. Without thinking, Haumea took a more aggressive stance and stared down at the girl.
"Let's see, I didn't kill her, had no plans to kill her, and was actually going to make sure that she didn't end up as Buffalo Bill Baitonce I had finished with her. So gee, hrmm, let me think. No."
As for the rest of her accusations, Haumea had to work hard to not flat out laugh in her tiny face. Instead, he kept himself to an angry snort and bent slightly at the waist so that he could stare her coldly in the eyes.
"Honeychild, I don't think I'm better than you and your lot because I'm older. I know I'm better than you and your lot because I don't go around recruiting little kids into a friggin' war!"
By this point, child or not, Haumea was practically daring her to live up to her bold words.

"That would be super, if you hadn’t just stolen a whole bunch of life or-or whatever out of her. If someone punches someone, they can’t just say, 'oh at least I didn’t kill them' and think that makes it okay. This is still bad!" She retorted, finishing her sentence with an angry wave of her hand. Don’t get mad. Don’t get mad. Don’t- oh she was so mad. "I don’t have to fight, but I do anyway, because I want to help people." It was so frustrating being face to face with Chaos. Sometimes they were sweet, sometimes kind, sometimes cruel, sometimes they seemed so understanding and yet she couldn't seem to convince them their path was wrong. Tears of frustration pricked at the corners of her eyes as she lifted a hand and called, "The One Path!" Then she turned and ran. Attack info: The One Path - Aludra runs ahead, following a path that is appearing beneath her feet. You are compelled to follow her and ignore everything else. [Time limit: 10 seconds]

Welp. He had to hand it to the kid, she had the sermonizing part of being a White Moon senshi down pat. At this point, Haumea was ready to walk away if only to escape the lectures. But that would have been giving in and he had his pride.
Though option two of seeing if he couldn't swipe some of her energy just to shake her up a little was also appealing. Before he could make up his mind, she raised her hand and yelled and Haumea's world immediately narrowed to Follow the Running Kid.
So he followed her, only dimly aware that this had not been part of his plan.Ruriska This should be fun once he recovers and uses his magic. XD

She had ten seconds. Aludra was acutely aware of each second as they ticked by. She knew that when her magic wore off, he would be angry. He would retaliate and she would wonder why she had ever interfered. So as the seconds ran out, she continued to run, knowing he would be close behind. The path glowed beneath her feet, trailing behind her, constantly beckoning. Five seconds. She needed a plan. Away from the alley with the old lady, across the road, down another alley, now if she could only… two, one… and her magic faded. Aludra cast one look behind her and made to jump to the top of a nearby building, where she hoped to make an easy escape from. Twilight Jaws yes xD I like that they both have a similar sort of ability!

Oh that little brat! Haumea felt the effects of her magic wear off and shook his head, trying to clear it. A quick glance told him that she was getting ready to bolt and he simply couldn't have that.
"Plumeria Sweet Breeze!"
Calling his own magic up, he stood perfectly still and waited. Once she was in reach, he'd figure out what to do with her then.Able to perform once in battle and the effects last for approximately 90 seconds. When invoked, Haumea is wreathed in a ghostly haze of plumeria scent and can draw one person (perhaps 2 if only civilians) towards him. The haze in and of itself is harmless, however those under its spell cannot help themselves in the need to move closer to the source of the scent. As such, this attack is fairly useless unless a lure is needed.Ruriska It's going to be like two Metapods battling. XD If we were masochists.

Aludra was poised to jump, ready to make her escape, when the scent of his attack first reached her nose. Her first and worst instinct was to breathe in deeply. She instantly realised her mistake and had half a second of panic, her hand coming up to ineffectually wave through the air. Then none of that mattered anymore because it smelt so nice. The young girl moved out of her half-crouch, turned around and headed straight back towards Haumea. But she wasn’t going to settle for just being closer, oh no, she wanted to be as close as humanely possible. So with a funny little grin on her face, Aludra attempted to give the Corrupt a nice big hug. Twilight Jaws That's such a beautiful comparison. lol

Oh. So this was what happened when his magic worked properly and there wasn't a ton of fighting chaos going on around him. He got hugs. Good to know. Reaching down gingerly, he gave her a little pat on the head and then tried to figure out what to do. The idea of beating up a child, even an annoying white moon child like this, made him feel sick to his stomach. Even at his (admittedly lame) angriest, he was pretty sure that he could actually hurt a kid.
So. Sososo. What to do? He still had a little time. And well, there was always taking some of her energy. It would make up for her having interupted him with the old lady. And surely the energy from a child senshi would be superior to that of an older human lady.
Smiling a little, Haumea rested his hand against the girl's head. He had time, he didn't have to rush a decision.Ruriska Is it okay for him to steal a little bit of her energy before his attack wears off? I just don't want him physically waling on a little kid XD;;;
