Using between 100-200 words only, respond to the following prompt below. Entries may be written as a quest trainee, or you can just make up a trainee on the spot as needed. This raffle will be specialized. Newbies who enter will receive 2 raffle tickets. Those with characters already will only receive 1. This will go on until 3PM PST 7/27. Meaning this is open to all, but is newbie favored! Entries will be randomized at the end, and winners will PM me with who they actually want to have Mist make for them. Prompt "You're standing on guard duty on the walls when suddenly, you see it. The first titan you've ever seen. You can see several of them far below, out of range to cause any trouble nor harm. However, what feelings and emotions run through your trainees mind? Disgust, fascination, fear?"

Let's get this thing started, yeah. Yesenia is a weirdo Laying down on her stomach, Yesenia kicked her legs as she peeked over the wall. Tens of meters below, standing in all their fearsome nakedness, were the titans. Her braid hung limply over the side of the wall, as though tempting a titan to grab it. It was impossible, of course - she was far higher up than any of the titans could reach. Turning to her longtime-rival-turned-fellow-soldier Amalia, Yesenia grinned. "Hey, Malia! Wanna see who can hit that titan with a loogie?" Amalia turned and looked down at her companion with a dour expression. "First of all, no. Second, gross." Yesenia shrugged lightly as she looked back over the wall. "Your loss." One gross action later, a wad of nasal fluid and saliva was dropping down the wall with increasing speed. Yesenia focused her attention on the loogie, watching as it descended toward a titan. Then, "YES!" The grey haired girl pumped her fist as the disgusting projectile made its mark. Sliding backwards, away from the edge, she got to her feet and looked back at Amalia. "Didja see that? I won!" The green haired girl shook her head. "It wasn't a contest, Yes." Yesenia merely rasped in response. Aw yeah, 200 words. EDIT: Ignore this, I already won Yesenia in the board game. <3

I had a moment of inspiration. >>;
"Ah! Wah! Whoa! Cool!"
Shakuntala nibbled her bottom lip as she kept a concentrated eye on the curly-haired thirteen year old bouncing around on the edge of the encampment. Ntombi's lips were stretched back to reveal a peek of her pearly whites as she continued to gawk and squeal in delight at the monstrosities clawing their fingers into the brick and mortar of Wall Rose. The trainee lurched forward every time the younger girl scuttled closer to the edge. She feared the worst of the poor girl falling, and when the imminent danger of such a possibility started to blossom into reality when Ntombi flailed her arms in lost balance, Shakuntala made a dash forward and caught her on the hem of her moss green cloak. Reeling her back to the safety of the wall, her eyebrows scrunched together in a frown, and she reprimanded the girl.
"A-Are... Are you stupid?!" she suddenly exclaimed, though her shout hardly rose a decibel above her typical soft tone. "You... You could've fallen!"
"Aha, aha, calm down, sissy!" the girl returned, waving a hand at Shakuntala's concern. "I wouldn't have fallen, y'know! I can work the gear just fine, y'know! I'm just excited for seein' a titan for the first time! They be so interestin'! I mean, look at 'em, sissy! Look!"
Shakuntala's maroon eyes followed Ntombi's erected finger to the titans below. She winced at their ugliness; her expression offsetting the excitement on the younger girl's. How could someone be so excited about them? So interested? They killed. They devoured. They were ruthless creations of an unknown hand. But, for some reason, her personal disdain was conflicted with that of a child's. She raised her voice to argue against the girl, but Ntombi's spoken thoughts stilled her attempt.
"I wonder what they think about. Must be interestin', y'know. Wish they could speak, wish they could answer things. I wonder what a human tastes like? Probably gross. Probably good to them though. Aren't they cool, sissy?"
Again, Shakuntala winced at the girl's ramblings and remained quiet on the subject. This girl... She was a young loon!

(I am a newbie!)
Archer really wasn't terribly interested in the titans.
He supposed he should have been; after all, they were the reason for everything that had happened to them, and they would continue to be that reason for as long as anyone could see, but at the same time, he found himself to be strangely indifferent to them. Maybe it was because of the way they looked, like they were humans turned inside out; or maybe because, deep inside, he found he didn't hate them.
Morbidly fascinated, perhaps, was a better term to use than indifferent, though it was strange how often those two emotions coincided. Archer leaned against the wall and peered down at the creatures that swayed next to the wall, and a distant part of him wished he could move closer, that he could observe them from a distance that was not this far.
But they were too far away to do anything; and Archer, after a moment, leaned back away, his lip curling upwards in faint smile. He lifted his foot, turned, and kept walking.

Guard duty was never exciting, it was spending long hours staring out over the wall at the rolling green grass and the occasional flying bird. The worst part was the fact that Lottie had the worse habit of daydreaming with things got bored. She could imagine being out there beyond the walls, riding horse across the green grass and then of course a titan would appear and…. Lottie blinked a few times. A titan? Squinting she stared, unsure if what she saw was really true or merely just her imagination. A shiver ran down her spine as a grin spread across her face, this was it! The first time she had even seen one of the monsters with her own eyes beyond the drawings of a book. They were still far enough away that concerns for the wall were not an issue but fascination filled her mind. Dangerous fascination but fascination none the less fascination. Part of her wished they would grow closer but she knew better, it was safer this way she told herself as she slowly continued along the wall.

((Yet another newbie here!))
They weren’t going to do anything. These walls would hold. Reminding himself of these facts, Jeong-jae peered over the wall at the herd of titans below. It was embarrassing to think himself afraid even though they were perfectly safe here. The problem was that one day his brother Hwan-Jae wanted to go out there and explore, that was the reason they’d joined the military in the first place. He was a little curious too but really only wanted to make sure to protect the people most important to him. Thankfully their little sister was too young to join the military just yet.
“Well there you have it, our first sighting.” He attempted to sound relaxed as he glanced to his brother also on guard duty. Playing it off as nothing, Jeong-jae didn’t have the guts to admit it was a bit freaky to finally see the soulless killers. Instead he stretched his neck and arms, pretending he was just stiff from guard duty. They spent the next minute watching in relative silence. Fear was replaced with boredom now that he could see they lacked the intelligence to do very much.
“C’mon let’s check the south now.”

((Newbie here too!))
"Another day of nothing!"
An anxious foot tapped rapidly as a young soldier waited for his shift to be over. Guard duty was not exactly thrilling to Ryom Hwan-jae not because it was boring but because he itched to keep moving and exploring. Yesterday had been his first day and had gone without interest and he doubted today would differ. He looked over to his brother, Jeong-jae, and the two yawned in sync.
But just as the signal for their shift to end sounded, he heard sound too big for any animal to make in the forest beyond Wall Maria. His pulse raced and the two twins shared a glance before peering over the edge childishly afraid. A tall head rose from the greenery and he felt his heart jump up to his throat. The titan was ugly but huge and he hated to imagine it getting closer. His brother murmured something to break the silence and he was grateful. Tension floated away as the minutes passed with little action from the titan.
"Yeah, let's go." The two walked away and he spared one glance back. He'd never been more appreciative of these walls no matter how cage-like they were.

Melina stood guard with a few other trainees, pissed that Alec wasn't put in her group. Now she had to wait till later to get her cookies from him. Grumbling, she looked down at the city below her. Another boring regular normal day. She sighed and walked to the other edge of the wall, scoping out the openness of the forbidden world. Looking down, the platinum blond freckled female saw them.... her first titan ever. GOD ARE THEY UGLY! AND WHY ARE THEY NAKED?! She shook her head and spat at them before moving back to look down at the city. At least there wasn't naked titans to look at there.... Still, naked and sorta silly looking... they were still terrifying. They ate humans after all and weren't exactly easy to kill. Some titans are even larger than the average titan. Melina rolled her eyes, glad she wasn't planning on becoming a scout... only idiots did that. She rubbed the chills from his arms and looked along to wall to see if she could see Alec.

((Not a newbie!))
He'd read about them, and up until the moment he saw one he was deathly curious about them.
They were a bit like plants, weren't they? Big mindless things, made of light and air. They were mysterious, and in that mystery there was something to be understood. Something to be learned. But when that big bland idiot face looked up at him, flabby lips peeling back from its hundreds of even white teeth, Kevin felt nothing but revulsion. This creature was nothing like a plant. It was a nightmare.
A convenient rock by Kevin's boot made an excellent projectile. He kicked it, watching its slow downward trajectory off the wall. It bounced off the giant's open, glassy eye.
The giant didn't blink, its smile never faltering.
Grimacing in disgust, Kevin took a step back from the edge of the Wall.

There was not fear, nor excitement, nor rage when Basil first saw the giant monsters outside of the walls. Why should he find himself feeling anything towards it? The situation was the same as if he had seen a wasp’s nest. Such dangerous and feared creatures but from here they could do nothing.
He saw them at this very moment as nothing to be feared just a mass of flesh off in the distance that could not hurt him. A moment of peace between a hunter and the hunted when there was no reason to attack.
Quite possibly there was a bit of fascination there as he moved a few feet closer to the edge of the wall peering out further to see if there was anything particularly special about the beast. Nothing but nakedness, disfigurement, and eyes larger than needed. And there were more about the area just like it. Nothing special, nothing interesting, and nothing that needed to be taken seriously at this point in time.
Basil shifted his own gear on his hips and gave the beast one last glance in passing indifference, then continued on his patrol. Perhaps there would be something interesting later.
