nobody needs a boyfriend. having a significant other doesn't confer happiness or a sense of fulfillment. it may seem that way to some people, but it just doesn't work like that. you shouldn't base success or self-worth on having a significant other.
you need to be able to be happy with who you are. form a relationship with yourself, first.
don't try to seek a relationship for the sake of having a relationship. try to know what you want out of a relationship. discover your goals, desires, needs, and personality. determine what would be quality values and traits in a partner. and know that your self-worth isn't determined by anyone other than you, and isn't determined by being with someone else.

clearly not, if you still think you "need" a boyfriend. besides, it's a never-ending story. you're never done forming a relationship with yourself.

I've seen you when I've lurked in other forums and I was like "where have I read that username?" To OP: Sorry, not trying to hijack your thread here, but why do you feel you need a boyfriend? Or do you just want one and you're not as fixated on it as we might think?

Well, you can order anything online these days. I think the politically correct term is "escort services." The classy ones usually get upset if you call them whorehouses.

Mr_Redmon1 all i want on here is a bf I think the point that people are trying to get across is that there is no "boyfriend vending machine" where you can announce what you want and have it pop out right in front of you moments later. Human relationships don't work that way, not even on the internet. Relationships (romantic or otherwise) should happen organically over time, at least when the feelings involved are genuine. Unless I'm very much mistaken, nobody here really knows you. That's not a bad thing, but most reasonable people aren't going to enter a romantic relationship with someone they've never met or spoken to (online or otherwise). A better tactic would probably be to try to interact with people in a more casual capacity so you can get to know them and they can get to know you, and to see how things go from there.
