Massalia couldn't let himself stay scared forever. He had others depending on him, and he needed to keep working to get better, stronger, faster. He needed to fight for what was important. He'd promised, and Sailor Chibi Massalia wasn't letting himself stay down. Stay hiding. Tonight he tried walking tall. After all, he could fight better now and Subra, Almary, and Aludra were counting on him to keep working and pulling his weight. And he wasn't going to let himself not come home. The young senshi moved along rooftops carefully, feeling for others, for senshi or chaos agents around his route, finding himself hyper-vigilant to noise. Don't get caught. Don't be seen. But don't be afraid. The line was not easy.

"I hate children..."
How many times had he actually said that this evening? He wasn't sure, as he had lost count. General Buddingtonite was in a fairly sour mood today and it had much to do with the damned promotional gig that his brother forced him to attend. He understood that Sugar Shanty was reopening and that he needed to get his products out there, but why did his main clientele HAVE to be children? Why did they have to be the ones he catered to? He hated children.
There were few things he hated more than children, though one of them was making its way towards him. He could feel it, tingling within his chest and then his head, warning him that someone with a pure aura was quickly approaching his way. It wasn't too strong of an aura and likely someone he could manage in a fight, but it still wasn't anything to scoff at... in his line of work, the tingling of Order aura was never anything to scoff at. Perhaps if he wasn't already in an agitated state, he would have left the aura alone and gone about his business...
But then, he remembered something very important. He was a general in the Negaverse, Buddingtonite of Infiltration, and what kind of general would he be if he allowed this Order aura, as meager as it might be, slip away without a fight? Or in the very least, a firm scolding for daring to cross his path?
The caused the general to move after the Order aura he felt, making his way to the nearest rooftop and intercepting the youth as he skittered across the path, like a mouse. And did his crimson eyes gleam when he recognized the Chibi Senshi. "Oooooooh, well, look who it is! It's my favorite little chew toy! What a small world!"

Massalia felt the aura this tyime, and looked up. It was strong, like Ganymede's, and he was startled far less when Buddingtonite landed before him, the Chibi senshi freezing in place, brown eyes locking on tensely. Was he going to hurt him? Again? In that moment half of him panicked. He didn't want to die, and even if he wasn't the other one, the imagery of Bischofite's knife in his face flashed before his eyes, Massalia managing not to scream as he remembered. Others counted on him coming home. The boy looked up, and locked eyed with Buddingtonite calmly, frowning faintly. "Good Evening." He said, tone tense. He couldn't fight him off and his good luck may not hold, so far as dealing with Buddingtonite might be concerned. So he chose to try avoiding conflict, unless he had to fight. He still wished someone he liked was there, though.

Maybe Buddingtonite was a horrible individual, for hating children so and the idea of either frightening one or inflicting harm upon them bringing a smile to his face was what kept him within the ranks of the Negaverse. But he couldn't help himself. It was part of him. It was in his nature to look down at the young ones and want to sneer, and the best part of encountering a Chibi senshi was that, unlike the children that would be soon flocking to his store, was this one he could strike down and not feel a sting to his conscious or risk losing customers over the matter.
Of course, it might have meant that their overprotective nanny Senshi could track him down and depend justice, but once again, he wasn't immediately in the area, and this time, Buddingtonite was prepared. The moment he sensed that sickly sweet, diabetes inducing aura, he'd make his retreat, but until that time, Massalia had his full and undivided attention.
He wasn't as terrified as he liked him to be, but Buddingtonite wasn't going to complain. That'd simply mean he'd have to try something new, that's all. After all, he was in no rush this evening, not so long as Massalia was the only one on his radar. "You've learned some manners since the last we met! Good, good... because I recall you being so incredibly rude. Not that it'll help you in the least, though. Remind me again, name? Sphere? I like to keep a note of these things, so that I know what to label your starseed when I present it to my General-King."

Massalia moved back some, feeling his heart pound. This wasn't working so well, and Massalia swallowed. "I don't.. I don't want to die." He said. His voice cracked - too soon for puberty or perhaps it decided to appear early, or perhaps it was fear - one never knew - but the eleven year old was afraid and he stepped back again, trying not to bolt. He wanted to, though. TYerribly. "...Not... Not gonna die here." He tried. Maybe he could scare him?...Yeah, likely not. Even he knew that.

There was no use in denying just how utterly good it felt to have such a presence like this, Buddingtonite told himself, as he drew closer and closer to the chibi. Yes, he knew that it only came out of a Chibi Senshi, but the idea of causing such a reaction to the rest of his enemies was definitely something to cling onto. Maybe someday, everyone, even his own allies, would cower in fear... but for now, he had to accept the fact that he was only this threatening to a single Chibi, and he was willing to embrace it for now.
"No one does, usually," Buddingtonite said with a snicker, summoning his bladed boomerang and taking a moment to admire the roses that decorated its form and threatened to hide its deadliness. It would have done a great job, if not for the sharp and deadly blades that protruded from it, and the general took a time to test their sharpness by plucking a rose from the bouquet and dropping it onto it, beaming at how the petals tore apart against the metal. At Massalia's words, he chuckled, before reeling his hand back. "You don't sound too sure about that... here, let me test that for you. Are you ready?"
Like he cared if he was ready. He had enough fun with the taunting, and now was the time to attack. He swung his weapon, giving a shout in hopes of scaring his small opponent and forcing a mistake out of him. Well, besides the biggest mistake, which was NOT running when he first saw him.

Massalia griumaced, stepping back and shutting his eyes rapidly, body quivering a bit as she tried not to scream. He wasn't going to give in, he needed to keep focused, he- "Not so fast, Negaverse scum! How dare you attack young children!" And a blur of teal and pink tackled Massalia down. Pisces hadn't seen trouble in years - and moving so made accessing things, finding ways to work around public opinion difficult. She was dreadfully anxious herself, but - why was a young boy out and why would he be in a fuku? The skirted senshi didn't know but - well, Pisces knew a bully on patrol when she saw one, and Pisces hugged Massalia a moment to try protecting him, glaring at Buddingtonite scoldingly. "You should be ashamed!"

Part of Buddingtonite wanted to stop the blow before it connected, if only to laugh at how he made the poor boy squirm and give the impression that he wasn't going to mutilate his body. It would have not only made for a great joke, but it might have given him an opening to kick him down instead. And yet, the other part of him really, really, really wanted to feel his blade cut through and let that be the end of it. Maybe he was a monster no better than Bischofite, but at least he looked damned good, right? He'd accept this...
And yet, the decision to jest or run him through was taken out of his hands, as there came a tingle of Order aura, a shout, and then a blur of teal and pink, and his weapon hit nothing but air, causing the Negaverse general to stumble forward. He stopped himself before he fell over completely, and only when he was certain that he had completely regained his balance did he twist around to see who had interfered with his game, and for a brief moment he feared it to be Ganymede.
Thankfully, this one was vastly different, much to his relief, and though his anger was boiling hot, he kept a farce smile on his face, even if venom laced his words. "Sweetheart, if you knew who I was, you'd realize that there's not a single ounce of shame in this body, nor was there ever any, last I checked. You're wasting your time trying to introduce it to me now, but you can introduce yourself while you're here."
He took off his hat and gave a bow of the head, his gesture and tone nothing short of mocking. "General Buddingtonite. And you are? I like to have a name to your starseed as well- it's only proper."

Massalia trembled against the older senshi, Pisces holding the frightened child close with the air of a mother as the girl glared at Buddingtonite with eyes burning in rage. Massalia cried, clinging, and whimpering as he tried not to be as frightened as he was, but Pisces was far calmer, glaring at Buddingtonite with a fire. "Of course you don't, you're from the Negaverse!" Pisces' tone was accusing and acerbic, and her instincts railed against the Chaos aura. "None of you know shame. You're no better than the youma you create!" And Pisces gave Massalia a tight hug, the boy shivering again as Pisces motioned to herself. "I'm Sailor Pisces, and you're seen nothing yet!" She hissed. Her mind was trying to concoct an image far more terrifying than a Negaverse General, and as horrifying as Charonite was in her mind, she wanted worse, something to drive the stronger general away. Massalia huddled against Pisces' skirts, brown eyes wide as he pointed to Buddingtonite, angry. "She'll show you!" He said, feeling braver with another senshi present. He wished he was stronger alone, but... He'd not turn down a grownup. "You better be scared!" Pisces hoped Massalia was right. She could distract, but not harm, and the Imaginative Senshi was terrified on a level.

Though brave and a bit feisty, this senshi was no Ganymede, and perhaps that was why Buddingtonite found himself rolling his eyes as her statement. Was she truly trying to shame him? Worst off, shaming him simply because he was in the Negaverse? Either she was naive and pegged all Negaverse officers the same, or perhaps she truly didn't know who she was dealing with, and Buddingtonite was eager to show her the errors of her ways. "Sweetheart, me being in the Negaverse has nothing to do with having no shame- I was like this before I was ever gifted with the dark gift. They merely don't care if I hurt a few annoying little brats along the way."
However, the comment about the youma did strike a nerve, and his smile faded, though only slightly, and the way he gripped his boomerang made it clear that he wasn't going to take the comment lying down. "Now, now, that's hardly a nice thing to say. Comparing me to the likes of a youma? Sweetheart, I'm offended... because I'm absolutely certain that I am capable of free thought and desires outside of animalistic hunger for starseeds. I can move freely throughout the city and am not confined to the Rift... I can talk, think, just the same as any of you, which makes me so much worse than any youma you'll ever face in this city!"
He had not missed her name during his rant, and if she was expecting someone to quake with fear at the sound of her name and the threat that came shortly afterwards, then she would be disappointed. The name was familiar, if only because Buddingtonite knew of the Zodiac signs, but there was nothing else beyond that. With introductions out of the way, there was nothing to get in the way, and Buddingtonite openly scoffed at the Chibi senshi's words. "The only one wetting their pants with fear is you, pup! Now stay quite and let the big kids play- don't worry, there's enough room in my pocket for both of your starseeds."
And with that, he lunged forward, his boomerang remaining in his hand for the moment as he swung at Pisces' chest.

"In the end, you're still a monster!" Pisces snapped, and moved Massalia aside, the young senshi swallowing and trying to get out of her way. Pisces, however, dances back, frowning. The tip cut open the midsection of her bodice, and Pisces was sure a hair closer would have hurt - she didn't mistake the weapon as weak by any means - and she frowned, wagging a finger at him before picking a rock up, throwing it. While she hoped it hit, she knew it probably wouldn't stop him - but it would buy them time to find something to protect themselves, and Pisces wished she could bring her sewing kit as a senshi - a needle would be most helpful at the moment for but one reason - quick wounding. It was a pity she had no volleyballs or similar athletic balls. It would be useful.... Massalia seemed to be of a similar thought, looking around for an evironmental advantage before spying a half-inflated, abandoned soccer ball by a trash bin, and the boy practically bolted over, kicking it out before kicking it at Buddingtonite as hard as he was capable. It was something, and maybe he and the nice lady could escape if they kept pelting him. It was worth trying!

Months ago, her insult would have shook him to his core, unnerved him, unravel that cocky persona he pushed out for others to see and left him weak and vulnerable. He would have argued against such a statement and explained in long, vivid detail that he was no more a monster than they were, that he was nothing compared to the likes of Painite, Mica or Bischofite. Months ago, this would have broken him... unfortunately for Pisces, the Buddingtonote of today was nothing like the Buddingtonite of a few months ago, and her statement only made him laugh harder. "But at least I'm a damn good looking one!"
The tip of his blade managed to cut the cloth at the midsection but there was no blood staining the tip, which meant that the general would have to try even harder! Her gesture, while playful, only acted as encouragement for him to want to stain his roses with her blood, even when there was a rock being thrown at him. Dodging the rock from Pisces wasn't that difficult, and he let out another laugh, failing to notice Massalia and the weapon he armed himself with as his full attention was on Pisces. "What? Only rocks? You'll have to find something bigger than THAT if you plan on taking me down!"
He side stepped the incoming rock, but walked right into the path of the half-inflated soccer ball. He'd never forget the sound it made when it smacked him in the back, right between his shoulders, and as strong as he thought he was, he let out a pained grunt and fell forward, his breath and words knocked right out of his mouth!

Pisces learned far too long ago to never give a Negaverse officer a reprieve, and the young adult moved to place a heeled foot on his hand lest he strike again, and gray eyes glared down firmly upon him with a stern expression. "A pretty face hiding a bad natur3e is only a pretty face, and your cruelty only makes that face less attractive." Pisces scolded. She glared, and kicked his hand with the heel rapidly before turning to retreat. He was stronger, even if they tag-teamed him, and she wanted space. If nothing else, she could hide, and hide the little boy senshi (How was someone so young a Senshi?!), and Pisces moved to run as planned, looking for a place to hide, possibly power down to trust to glamor to hide her from him. Massalia practically lit up seeing Buddingtonite go down, and jhe'd have taunted his tormentor, if he wasn't aware Buddy could kill him, and really, really would. Instead the chibi followed the example of her elder, moving to run rapidly. He didn't want to be caught now, but he was glad he remembered enough to find a way to use his environment, and the young boy refrained from whooping as he ran rapidly, seeking small places to hide himself. All they could try not was keep their avenues open, and to keep the possibility of powering down in safety open.

And just like that, the tide of battle changed, like the treacherous witch that she was. One moment he was on the defensive, and the next, attacked from behind by a Chibi and now his hand being trampled under Pisces. And it seemed that she had planned this perfectly, as it was his scarred hand she stomped on... what rotten luck! "Ah-you b***h!"
From this angle is was impossible to ignore her stern expression, and there was no escaping that scolding remark, and in retaliation, he let out a pained sneer. "You're wasting your time, sweetheart... trust me, this one's lucky to have run into me. Others wouldn't have thought twice before pushing him off this building or gutting him..."
Others would have simply killed Massalia... and here he was, wasting his time teasing the poor thing. He should have been ashamed of himself for allowing such an opportunity to slip through his fingers again... in which she mercilessly stomped on... AGAIN! Whatever he was going to say was replaced with another pained shout, and before he could even try to pull his hand free or retaliate, the senshi had the nerve to start running! He pushed himself back to his feet, despite the pain, and he reeled back on his boomerang, ready to let it fly. "Excuse me, but that... is RUDE!"
The sound of feet hitting the ground caught his attention, and Buddingtonite looked back to see the Chibi senshi doing the same! He twisted around to strike at him, but it was too late! He was torn between which one to follow, and in that brief moment of confusion, they had managed to gain some distance. Not too much of a problem, considering the general knew how to teleport, but his hand was throbbing, his scarred palm aggravated... he shouted after them, but made no move to chase after them. "Go on and run! The next time I see you- BOTH of you- I'm going to skip the pleasantries..."
As far as he was concerned, he sent them both running for their lives, and that was enough for one night. It did not take much to please Buddingtonite... though having their starseeds in his pocket would have been much more appealing.
