BZZT BZZT BZZT, the sound of a an alarm clock filled the air causing the dark haired girl to fall out of bed. Grabbing her clock off the side table, looking at it she instantly woke up. "Aye ya, its 7:35 how'd it get so late. Jeez morning why'd you come so early. " She exclaimed quickly getting out of bed and rushing to her closet to grab her uniform. Though this may sound like a once in a while thing, Esmeralda was always running late. This was due to her habit of staying up all night watching anime, her favorite being about death gods and corrupt spirit like monsters. Once she was dressed the girl jumped down the stairs and to the kitchen, where her bag was still laying on the ground.
Since her parents had gone over seas Esmeralda was left alone to make her meals. This meant toast for breakfast instead of the big breakfast her mother usually made. At first she planned to sit down and eat, but a quick look at the time told her it was another grab and go day. As soon as the toast popped up it was taken out of mid air and the girl was out the door hoping to make it on time.

Vexis pace slowed from its regular fast pace as he made his daily trek to school.Everynow and again, he glaced at his walk, behind him, and back ay his watch again. Vexis usually had time to go and get his breakfast from school, but at his current rate, he would be lucky to make it to class "I guess this is what is get for saying I'd walk with her". The she he was talking about was Esmeralda. She was known to be the last person to get in the door right before the bell rung. Vexis questioned if he would even keep his commitment, as the other party seemed to not be im compliance. "I offered to come get her too, she was probably watching anime again ". Vexis knew that he could get to school on time if he hurried up now. But instead, he decided to stay loyal to his friend. "I guess I can live without my coffee". He could tell this was gonna be a long day

"I'm late late laaaate!" She yelled running down the street, it was lucky for her that Esmeralda was the fastest one on the track team. Turning a corner the dark haired girl almost ended up hitting Vexis. "Vex-kun sorry I'm late," she said skidding to a stop next to him. "I kinda overslept again, but thanks for waiting for me. Now off to school your a pain if you miss breakfast." Smiling at the boy she turned back to the front and continued to school at a fast walk. If she ran Vexis would be left in the dust and his risk of waiting for her would be for not. ((OOC: sorry short post))

Jack Malory was immaculately dressed in her school uniform. However she was draped on the bench outside the school in the most provocative manner possible. It was a contradiction that Jack didn’t bother to explain to anyone. Anyone who mattered to Jack didn’t care and, anyone who cared didn’t matter.
One of the teachers saw Jack, ”Miss Mallory! Sit like a lady!”
Luckily Jack had a clever quip prepared for that, “If I was a lady I would sit like one. However I am not. I don’t believe in lying.”
The teacher sputtered and, Jack smiled up at him. The smile was half sweet half devious. It was something only Jack could do. Finally the teacher moved to enter the school.
More people were entering the school grounds. Jack waved at everybody and shouted hello to her fellow members of the archery club. However she didn’t get up for anybody.
Jack was waiting for her friends, Esmeralda and Vexis. It was normal for Esmeralda to be late; however Vexis was usually here by the time Jack had finished morning practice. He must have told Esmeralda that he would walk with her. Jack knew better than to make a promise.
That was why she had a cup of coffee sitting next to her on the bench. Vexis was damn near unbearable without his coffee. Jack was such a good friend that she grabbed a cup for him when she relized he would be late as well. Maybe she could charge him a kiss.
Jack liked kissing. Okay that was an understatement. However that was the nicest way to describe the rather cheerfully girl without talking about thinks she didn’t want to talk about.

Vexis' eyes lit up as Esmeralda bolted around the corner. While taking in the moment, Vexis almost was mowed down by the sprinting woman. Vexis almost forgot how incredibility fast she was. At times it seemed that she was like the wind,as she was free , flowing , and nimble,While he was a boulder stoic and grounded. But maybe it was for the best, as Esmeralda needed someone to bring her back to earth. "Honestly Ezzy Chan, if you were not as fast, you would have a write up everyday. If you need me to walk you up just tell me". Vexis looked at Esmeralda with the same compassion that a mother would look at their child with. "But you seriously need to stop watching anime so late. And don't tell me you were not cause that would be a lie. The death gods are not going anywhere, but if you keep it up, your grades will. I really worry about you sometimes you know, with you parents out and all I feel like you need someone to keep you on the right path.What if the fate of something important fell into your hands, would you be late to that too!"Vexis felt like he was scolding his child, however he did have a point, Esmeralda need to be a bit more grounded, otherwise bad things might happen to her. Vexis sighed. what could he do than hope for the best. "Come on, you are right about one thing, I suck without by food. Vexis ran ahead of Esmeralda as the reached the gates of school.

Rolling her eyes, Esmeralda listened to Vexis scold her about running late and watching her favorite show. "Ah come on Vex-kun they just showed a part where the evil spirits can look human and have weapons like the death gods." She said not even trying to hide the fact she was watching it. The dark haired girl was many things but a liar was not one of them. "And thanks for the offer but I can wake myself up, plus its weird to think of a boy going in my room while I'm asleep." She responded to his offer before heading off to the school running, well if he wants to race guess we'll race. She thought before sprinting off again, shooting past Vexis and into school. "Yes a whole 5 minutes early," she said looking at the school clock. After she returned her gaze to the ground, Esmeralda noticed another of her friends. "Jack-chan! Hey good morning, been waiting long?" She asked noticing Jack had gotten Vexis a coffee, good he'll be happy now. With that thought in her mind she waited for the boy to catch up.

Jack rose from her bench and, grabbed the cup of coffee. She threw her free arm around Esmeralda. Jack smiled in greeting.
Jack cheerfully asked, “Were you up all night watching anime again? If you keep that up you’ll need more coffee than Vexis does in the morning. Speaking of coffee,” Jack held out the coffee towards Vexis. “For you.” Jack smirked dangerously, “For the price of a kiss.”
It was a joke. Yes Jack liked kissing but, she never forced anyone to kiss her. So if Vexis didn’t want to kiss her Jack wouldn’t force him. The coffee was Vexis’s no matter what happened.
Jack heard the warning bell. She pulled away from Esmeralda and, grabbed her bag. Jack darted into the school. She quickly pulled of her tennis shoes and, exchanged them for her inside shoes.
Jack placed the coffee in Vexis’s shoe locker before heading inside the school proper. She place a hand on her hip and looked back at her friends. On her face was a happy smirk.
Jack asked, “You two coming? We have to get to homeroom!”
Jack headed up the stairs and, towards the classroom.

The bell rang, signaling the start of another tedious school day that held little promise in terms of entertainment. Even less so now that a new notice had appeared throughout the crowded halls of the busy high school.
"To promote a healthy lifestyle, the cafeteria and all vending machines have undergone a complete change of menu. Whole wheat is now being used. Seasoning will be regulated and no desert will be allowed within the school's premise. All homeroom teachers have been asked to search the students' belongings for any sign of sweets or pastries."

Once again, Esmeralda bursted down the sidewalk. Vexis loved the way that she ran, so strong and proud. It reminded him of when he spars. Vexis appeared as your average run-of-the-mill smart guys, he did not appear to posses any particular strength. Vexis was rather intelligence and for the most he fit the bill of an average nerd. However his appearance was very deceptive. Vexis was an extremely skilled martial artist. His body is agile and limber making him quick and reactive. And though it didn't seem like it , he was rather strong. However, his deadliest asset was his brain. Vexis could analyze a situation, his opponents weaknesses and take them down in a mere minute. Vexis wonder if this is how Esmeralda was with he running, calculated and decisive, or was she as he thought, like the wind simply rushing through without care or worry.Vexis finally caught up with Esmeralda, to find her with Jack. In her hands, Jack held the holy grail, he could see the sweet aroma wafting off it in waves. Jack was god sent , she must of heard his prayers. Jack wanted a kiss for the coffee, and she could have one . As they entered the homeroom, Vexis took his drink and shipped it. "She even remembered my strawberry shortcake creamer." Vexis was ecstatic for this, as it was his favorite flavor and it was rather hard to get of hold of unless you are early. So as Vexis walked to his desk , he walked in front of Jack and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek. "I want you to know that this means so much to me, this is the best thing someone's done for me in a while. Vexis faces Jack a small wink and proceeded to his seat next to Esmeralda. "I feel so much better now, I guess it all works out right Ezzy Chan." Vexis countined to drink his amazing coffee. "Maybe I was wrong about today haha".

Esmeralda just laughed off the question Jack presented her about staying up all night. "You know I don't drink coffee Jack, even if I did need a pick me up. Coffee's for Vexis-kun and old people.” She said as Jack held out the coffee, it wasn't that she didn't like coffee taste it was more just feeling coffee had to many people ensared in its caffeinated trap. Upon hearing the bell Jack and Vexis headed in fallowed by Esmeralda, who removed her running shoes and put on her inside shoes with a practiced motion that seemed insanely fast. It was something she'd learned from all her times of getting there late and trying to sneak into class. The dark haired girl was about halfway through their homeroom door when she was stopped by a notice on the wall. "Wait what!?! " She exclaimed looking up at the paper before snatching it up and rushing to her friends. "Jack-chan Vexis-kun look at this notice its terrible, possibly the worst crime of the century. No deserts, how can they do this we need deserts to make school more enjoyable. ” She complained sitting at her desk.

Jack brushed her check were Vexis had kissed her. Then she turned her attention to Esmeralda’s ranting. Apparently the school was banning desserts. Jack wasn’t a complete fan of desserts. Though she did have a passion for cherry ice cream.
Jack told her female friend, “Yes that is bad news but, we can still have dessert out of school.”
Jack sat in her desk and pulled out her school work. She then noticed that she had packed a brownie for lunch. This was not good. She was now a delinquent. Jack pulled it out and started eating it. Maybe she could finish it before the teacher got her.
Jack called out to her two friends, “Hey, Vexis, Esmeralda. Do you want some of this brownie? I’ve got to get rid of it before the teacher shows up.”
Jack took another bite. So far so good.

After hearing Esmeralda tell him the new school policy, Had to do a double take. This information both shocked and displeased Vexis to no end. It was enough to be forced to it in these classes for hours on end, but to take away dessert, to take away his strawberry shortcake, it was enough to make a man scream. "This is blasphemy, how could they take such a essential part of our day, no OUR LIVES, away from us. Maybe Im a bit mellow dramatic but, Honestly Ezzy Chan, why would they do such a horrible thing." Forunately for Vexis, he had not packed his lunch today, so the teachers could not take away his food. However not being able to buy it any longer, or even bring it from home, this was madness. In his stress, he furiously drank away at this coffee. "And I'm curious to what the guidelines to what dessert is. I might have to write a petition." As Vexis contemplated how to go about removing this ban, Jack showed up offering her brownies in order to get rid of them so she would no get in trouble. "I will most greatly help you Jack Chan." Vexis took a brownie, take a large bite out of it and washing it down with coffee. The combination of the chocolate and the strawberry shortcake exploded it to waves of happiness that ran like wildfire through his mouth. "Jack that was utterly delight, Ezzy Chan what do you think ?
