Harry Potter

How is it; that we've been are almost on our 3rd month of existence and I still haven't put up my favourite series in the whole wide world. Whether you love the books or the movie, both will apply in this topic. Harry Potter is widely loved, Pottermore included. There is so much to experience at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Not to mention, the movie was the only movie to really create real sets; the Ministry of Magic, Diagon Alley, The Great Hall. Some actors commented and stated that they are use to having a green screen and was surprised to see actual sets.

The books, the Characters. OMG! If I could writing like J.K. Rowling it would be awesome. The characters are so wonderfully developed. The story doesn't spin you in circles or bore you with sparkly vampires.

My friend made me jealous. She went to Britain for a Harry Potter expedition and got to take pictures of the places where they shot the movie.

Hehe...sparkly vampires...Anyways, I love Harry Potter! It was actually the first book to show me as a kid that reading could be fun! After struggling through learning to read, fighting with my mom about it and playing catch up with the other kids, I hated reading. It had been ruined for me. Then in my daycare all of the kids had Harry Potter. They didn't like reading so I wanted to know what was so great about this book. Somehow I got my hands on it and I loved it! It opened doors for me and showed me that reading could be amazing. I just needed to find the right book.

I think I will always be grateful to JK Rowling because of that.

Is it odd that my step dad is named Harry Potter. I literally grew up with the series started at 11 years old. It was amazing to be apart of. I'm glad that I was able to spend 10 years with this story.

Me as well. I was so sad when the series ended. Reading a book is wonderful and you want to know the end but once you get there it's bittersweet. I still want to get my hands on "The Casual Vacancy" that Rowling wrote.
